Ah yes, tropes whose names only make sense if you recognize the quote they're referencing, one of the odder yet particularly acute ways the Wild West days of the 00s wiki could make you tear your hair out. For completeness' sake, this is one of a handful of tropes where what would be the Archived Discussion got wiped somehow at some point, resulting in the link to the original YKTTW needing to be fished out of the Internet Archive.
A Shared Suffering's description and laconic page has stated it's about a character being The Last Of Their Kind and clinging to any remaining member of their species left. However, both the wicks and the one page examples instead are about character relating to each other about what other suffering they have. So what is it really about?
