I don't think the area where I live counts as rural per se (it's not like I live on a farm or something like that), but I do live in the countryside. Moved here from the city last year and I like it much better.
A great Mascot Mook.to call me rural would be an understatement
be nice to benjamin it's not his fault he got beat up by a microbeRural means you have less than 2,000 people in your town, right? That would be me.
It's Over Anakin, I have the high ground!Multiple meanings and standards, and I am very sure that's one of them.
I meet the standard of underdeveloped, unmaintained area. Bad roads, some buildings are older than a lot of the people living here, the general layout of the area is a bit random, among other things. Heck, there's also just random stuff laying around like unfinished projects. I still love it here though, there's a much more stronger culture here than in cities.

Do islands count?
See my profile by clicking my avatar, it'll tell you more than any signature can. Also see my avatar gallery (usable feature for members)...I lived right on Missouri/Oklahoma/Arkansas border and the closest towns around are small. Because I live on the very rural border, it's pretty hard to tell and genuinely confusing what town and state am I living in, even with my address saying I live in Oklahoma and my former school is in Oklahoma. So I tend to say "I live in MO", "I live in OK", "I live in MO/OK border" or "I live in MO/OK/AR". My closest hometown (which is in MO) is only 2 minutes away and the closest town in OK (where my former school is) is only about 20 minutes away.
Honestly, no qualms about my hometowns because I really like living in a small rural town. They're more comfortable for me than big cities. I'm definitely not one of those people who wanted to get out of small town life. I like it better.
dope slaps you* HEY GET BACK TO WORK! We got a dead body
I haven't seen anyone else who comes from or lives in a rural area around here, at least not to my knowledge.
