Painting over trademarks and watermarks is not allowed, but we approved altered work images many times as there's no rule against it and mods never objected. If we weren't supposed to, then the policy should be discussed at the general thread.

@ Amonimus: Is that cover you provided the official English rendition of the title? I surfed quite a bit and found loads of different English logo designs. I know most may either be renditions from other countries or scanlations. I just need to know which one is best to use. Thanks.

I've just googled it and there were a few from Amazon and Twitter. Between two covers, a version with localized title takes priority if available, though I do question their validity as they have alterations.
This one is specifically by Yen Press.

Okay, no need to be so condescending, bud. I was questioning if it was within the rules, not "trembling". I've never seen us use altered work page images so I just had no idea if we had precedent for it.
Edit: And to be clear, I'm aware we've photoshopped things like comic panels in the past for copyright reasons. I've just never seen us alter an image to use for a work page. Since there's a big difference between illustrating a trope and providing an image for a work page, it seemed like something worth questioning.

Sorry about the thump, I didn't mean nor intended to sound superior of any form; though I do needed to be updated in site vocabularies. Image altering is usually an unspoken topic, and since people question, then they have the right to get answers. I don't believe there's any need to hide this topic since this indeed would be an interesting discussion.
Edit: @ Amon: Okay, awesome. That means I don’t need to make any changes on the 3rd suggested image.
So back to topic, anymore suggestions on where to go with the work page image?
