Can anyone explain the exact difference between Make Me Wanna Shout and Make Some Noise?

I've always thought that Make Me Wanna Shout was explicitly about super loud screams as attacks. Yet there are many examples on the page that have nothing to do with that. The laconic page for the tropes says it's Elemental Powers over sound, but the playing with page says it's super loud screams. Even for when it appears on the indexes, it usually says loud screams.

I've also been told that it's supposed to be loud sounds as attacks, rather than just loud screams. I thought the loud attack part was for Make Some Noise, which was a Super-Trope created for Make Me Wanna Shout. But I've been told that Make Some Noise was general sound manipulation while Make Me Wanna Shout is sound ‘’attacks'', not just screams, which seems ridiculous.

It would be like if Playing with Fire was the general fire powers and if Kill It with Fire was about fire powers being used as attacks in general (Kill It with Fire is about fire being a weakness to someone/something or using regular fire to kill creatures). Using sound powers for attacks in general rather than just screams would make Make Some Noise rather redundant.

If Make Me Wanna Shout is about Sound attacks in general and not just scream attacks, then why is "Shout" in the trope name? It could confuse and mislead people it is. So I need to know what is the key difference between these two tropes, and if they need to be cleaned up.

(Sorry for the long post)

Delete this, I decided after I posted it that I wanted to tag some people.

Tagging ~FernandoLemon and ~Mae Bea as the people adhering to the "manipulation vs. attack" position in the Image Pickin' thread that started this.

~reppuzan, the sponsor of Make Some Noise's original TLP, did seem to be under the impression that Make Me Wanna Shout was specifically about attacks involving the voice, not for all attacks involving sound, and one person in the TLP even suggested that something that wasn't an attack but was still a voice-based power qualified under Make Me Wanna Shout.

This should probably just get a wick check and go to TRS.

I'd like to apologize for all this.

[up][up]

I don't have strong feelings about it and it wasn't an especially popular launch so go ahead and dewick it if you'd like.

I wasn't suggesting we take down Make Some Noise, rather laying out the case for the OP's interpretation in the trope's origin. Any me check and TRS trip would probably have to involve Make Me Wanna Shout and Make Some Noise together.

Probably worth checking for overlap.
