I think we don't need one. Keeping ROCEJ in mind I wouldn't want to put in a funny caption, that's for sure.

Given that an image caption about a 30-year ethno-nationalist conflict would need to be appropriately serious, maybe something like "For thirty years, the history of Northern Ireland was written in blood."
Or, to quote a song about the conflict, "The trench is dug within our hearts, and mothers, children, brothers, sisters torn apart."

I'll upvote the second one. ("Written in blood" sounds like a screenwriter exploiting a serious conflict for cheap melodrama.)

Agreed. It's added and tagged; locking up.
There's some concerns that this comical Simpsons pic is too silly for a Useful Notes page on a serious struggle where people really died, especially since Useful Notes pages are generally supposed to be more serious and respectful than regular trope pages. Maybe some sort of historical photo would be preferable?
