I'm mixed on the OP. On one hand, it isn't a bad logo, but on the other hand, It's a special logo that will quickly age itself. Regardless if the anniversary text is removed or not. I also don't like that the logo is small here.
Might I suggest this from Nintendo's official website.
Or alternatively, just the main logo.

Looking it up, it appears to be a modified logo for Kirby: Right Back at Ya!. There are good versions with the subtitle and without Kirby, but 500p is probably the best I'll find without the subtitle. Optionally we can just take another png of Kirby sucking things and overlay it with the logo, though it would already be redundant over this option.

Alternatively, If we just want Kirby himself? How about a 2D Kirby.
It will certainly help to separate it from the 3D render on the character page (kind of an inverse on how the 3D render is used for the main Sonic page, while the 2D artwork is used on the character page).
