It's less about Wade, and more about how annoying it is that the show promised a Knuckles show, but chickened out and put in a human character to be the real main character.
Like, sure I can appreciate the Sonic human cast members in certain doses, but they generally star Sonic and friends first and foremost. If there are entire episodes where Knuckles is barely in it, then why should I watch the show then?

I can see how people would have wanted more Knuckles focus, but I don’t hate this show, personally.
I do think they will need to do space, either in animated format, or in the movies, before too long.

Show is alright. It's more of the same regarding the movies, so I can't complain.
Oh, and my favorite part.
Iblis being adapted, and being some monster Knuckles fought in the past, makes me smile.
It's my petty self, I'll admit.
I'm just so happy I won't ever have to worry about any of 06's crap in the movieverse.

I played Sonic 06 as a kid, so I actually had a good time with it.
That said, I have gotten older and seen lets plays with my fully adult brain, so I'm down to clown on it.

I do wonder if Sega has some kind of mandate that the writers CAN"T explore the backstory of the game characters too much.
I've heard Wade's backstory and family issues get focused on.

It was decent. Idris was great. Wade's family was funny. None of the humor was quite as cringy as the Siberian dance off.
My main issue is that it seems very inconsequential. There's little to no character development for Knuckles. No setup for Sonic 3. The main villain doesn't do anything ultimately. He's someone that just happened to work for Eggman and that's it. The final battle is anticlimactic.

I think the idea was it wasn’t supposed to be nessecary. Like you don’t need to go into Sonic 3 having seen the show otherwise you miss a lot of context.

It'd kinda like if the MCU had another Captain America movie, but instead of focusing on, y'know, the captain himself... it focuses mostly on some background character nobody really cares about. The captain gets sidelined in a movie supposedly about him.
