[up] In Lizard's case, it could be that he's predicting what could have been Amazing Spider-Man 3...

Yeah I am starting to think that Tobey and Andrew are in the movie but where digitally removed for the trailer.

Saw what seems to be a solid theory about Ock's red arms on Reddit. Though it could still always be a case of Never Trust a Trailer.

I missed the part where that's my problem.

Ehhhh well MJ this is actually Peter’s fault not Strange. The former is the one who completely botched the spell.

And really kids, let’s not laugh at the person who can kill you.

Until we get more details I'm comfortable splitting the blame between them.

And if someone can and would kill you given the opportunity then I see no reason not laugh. Clearly their mind is made up.

Peter still asked him though and Strange was trying to help him out of what is clearly a huge problem for the kid.

Yeah but again he was warned not to and then, from the trailer, completely refuses to own up to any part of his responsibility in it. He is the older and more experienced of the two. So he has more responsibility for it in my opinion.

I don't really find the spell being risky as that much of a problem. A lotta spells have some kind of risk factor to it and in this case it is a necessary spell to help Peter.

He has to figure out some way to get everyone to forget Peter's identity.

Oh man, are they implying Doc Ock helps Spider-man at some point?

Also love the lampshading of comic book movie villains die.

Wonder when Norman made it here.

[up] With the Loki show having the TVA in the mix I wonder what they thought of Mysterio's plan.

As for Venom, if he appears, I don't think he'll actually be a villain.

Hell, I could easily imagine him pulling a Big Damn Heroes moment, swinging in Lethal Protector-style and ripping apart the Topher Grace version of Venom, who also will make a surprise appearance.

Wouldn't THAT be awesome, and a nice Take That! moment as well grin

It says a lot that even Tom Hardy Venom is more accurate than Topher Grace Venom.

The fates of original Electro and Sandman are ambiguous enough that you could retcon into them dying. It's clearly not the intention of those scenes, but it's not impossible to believe them dissipating was then dying in both cases.

Haven't watched Amazing 2, but with Sandman? Don't see how.

He was clearly seen flying away, not just dissipating.

Could be reinterpeetated as him suiciding and reverting to inert sand, caught on the wind.

I like the meta joke of pointing out Bad Guys back in the day tended to die in superhero films.

Ultron died after a single movie and he is one of the famous cases of a justified Death is Cheap through his backup bodies.

Two possibilities: these are alternative versions of the "original" Maguire and Garfield baddies who in their respective timelines, did conclusively die in their respective timelines - Maguire's Spiderman was deliberately trying to kill Sandman at one point, possibly this is a version that succeeded.

Alternatively, these are the "original" versions who didn't die in the movies, but did later on for some reason, if they fought again.

I like the thought that this is Lizard, Electro and Sandman later from their same Rami and Webb timelines where they did die.

Especially considering the costume change for Electro.

Alternative thought, Webb!Electro is legitimately possessing the nervous system of his sacred timeline counterpart.

This kind of recklessness is on par with the brand for the man who wrecked his hands because he texted while driving recklessly.
