Oh this looks even Darker and Edgier than the last seasons of Camp Cretaceous, it definitely is looking like an interesting watch

I wonder if they’ll be able to get Glen Powell or Jenna Ortega back if they’re such big stars now.

Well, I didn’t know!

I loved this cartoon! I later checked out the most recent Jurassic World live action movie to see what it was like, and I hated it. The movie had that standard Hollywood color grading, and storytelling-wise, it felt more like I was watching a cartoon than the actual cartoon did. The cartoon had better visuals color-wise and better storytelling than the movie. That really said something to me.

I'll have to check out the sequel series later. I wonder what it'll be like. If the characters are all adults now, then hopefully they'll act like believable adults, not "adults for a kids' cartoon." I'm not saying use R-rated language and stuff, but at least be emotionally believable as adults. I thought the handling of the teen protagonists in the original cartoon was really well done in that regard.

But Brooklynn killed off?! She was one of my favorites!

Yup, and I do hope it is.

I kinda hope she stays dead. It's almost always so weak when a character that's explicitly stated to be dead comes back, and it removes all stakes. Having one of the Nublar Six bite it is a good way of showing that nobody is truly safe after they all had plot armor in the former series.

The previous show had very clear and obvious rules it had to follow regarding violence. The only people who could do were adults who were either evil or neutral and unimportant. The main characters could get the rare injury (Yasmina's ankle twist, Sammy's poisoning with the needle), but that's it. I also got annoyed seeing dinosaurs keep slipping and bumping into things when chasing the protagonists, yet perfectly eating adults in one gulp.

I saw a "TV-PG" rating in the trailer, so who knows. They might be raising the stakes for real, as the higher age rating indicates.

The WMG page (and other sites) looked at the casting call for the character of "Sydney" is believed to be Brooklyn. It also says she's missing an arm, which is likely what happened, all but confirming she survived the dinosaur attack. Still a lot messier than any other injury from the previous show.

Just finished Chaos Theory. I liked it overall.

I dig that it quietly calls out Fallen Kingdom's ending by showing just how problematic the dinosaurs have been for everyday life and that a lot of people have had their lives pretty much turned upside down or destroyed just by having a dinosaur like a Nasutoceratops wander by. And that in as much as the Nublar Six appreciate the dinosaurs, they know that the same isn't going to be said for a lot of other people and so just try to do what they can to help people adjust as best they can.

I'm glad that the final episode of this season, for now at least, makes it clear that Darius' feelings for Brooklyn are one-sided, and I really hope it stays that way, because I can't stand it when any franchise or series sets up a love interest relationship between two characters and then later derails it in favor of one half of that relationship becoming the love interest of another character. It kinda feels like a waste of time to have Brooklyn go from being with Kenji to being with Darius, when if she's going to end up with Darius then it should have always been her and Darius, if that makes any sense.

Kenji's dad being straight up murdered, in front of Kenji and Darius no less, was kind of a shock. It would have been so easy to continue having him as the Big Bad, but I gotta give them props for killing him off like that. I get the feeling he's going to have somewhat of a backflash Heel–Face Turn and it'll turn out that he was trying to work with Brooklyn to take down the Malta operation and Biosyn, since that's who I assume who the Big Bad of the new show will be.

I'm convinced that the Atrociraptor's handler is a clone of Claire Dearing, with some amount of Raptor in her. She looks way too much like Claire for that to be a coincidence...
