I heard that the reason why Netflix released full seasons of their shows in clumps is because when they tried to release whole seasons of their shows early on, it didn't quite work out for them. But, when they saw that other streaming services were releasing a new episode of their shows every week, I guess they decided to release the episodes of the seasons in clumps to make up for it.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!IIRC, the reason for the splitting in half thing is that animation takes an extremely long time and streaming animation outlets don't always have the budget to speed up that time up like bigger studios and networks do, so their model is to develop shows in batches rather than a full season at a time.
The first time I remember seeing Netflix do it was way back with Dragons: Race to the Edge, so it's been that way for a while.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. That might explain about why Netflix released episodes in batches. I forgot that streaming services don't make as much money as major movie and TV studios do.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Sonic Prime has been nominated for 5 Leo Award categories
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Impressive
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back. So, what are your thoughts on the Egg Council?
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!I started off thinking they would get old and wanting to move onto new villains. Once they established we weren't done with that universe I liked them a little more... but I'm not fond of the baby one.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Fun fact, according to one of the animators, they themselves aren't fond of Babbles. They do like Deep (the weeb) and Done it (the old one), though.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.Hah, that's interesting to me because for far Dr Done It has done, very little in the show. So I wonder if he has more content in part two.
He hasn't had the opportunity to use his battle gear, whatever it is. Neither has teen gamer egg either. I'm sure they'll certainly get their moment in the spotlight.
Babbles has had two showings so he can probably be sidelined for the next batch of episodes.
Definitely want more Rusty though.
Rusty Rose is the best part of the council.
Though I did appreciate seeing Mr Dr Eggman utterly under estimating sonic in that universe.
To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of the Egg Council. I feel like they don't really bring anything to the story, although they are responsible for Rusty Rose, who is surprisingly a good character. I hope we get to see more of Rusty Rose soon!
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!I kinda like babbles. The mech reminds me of Bowser Jr.s and appaarently is the cruelest of the council members according to the others reactions.
We need an Eggman of some kind but, yeah, I'm not super fond of the Chaos Council. I'd rather just have Eggman, the way we just have Sonic.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Wild that Eggman doesn't seem to have a counter part in any of the over universes. Sure it would make the show's format less interesting to have a eggman of the week, but it's weird that eggman defies the show's logic.
Still interested in why that is exactly
Sonic and Eggman being at the epicenter seems to have made them unstuck, and everyone else got blasted into alternate versions of reality.
Which brings to mind another topic from a while back - Shadow claimed there was no home to go back to. So when we inevitably deal with the Eggmen Five and Sonic tries to recreate his home, I wonder what'll become of Nines, Dread, Rusty, and Jungle Rouge. Most of them lack any reason to give up their existence to help Sonic get his friends back.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).I'm just curious on how powerful the Paradox Prysm is. The fancy stones in Sonic are very powerful but they didn't give the impression of warping an entire universe.
However, the fact it was trapped in South Island is hell of contrived, but what the hell.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.I’ve been assuming the Council are setup villains for the other antagonists anyway, like Rusty and - I’m still convinced is coming - Nine.
Even in the episodes where they’re technically the main antagonists, Sonic doesn’t really interact with them much.
Once it was established that Rusty was going to be the one following and antagonizing Sonic in other universes and not them, the die was cast.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I am fascinated to see Sonic and Rusty race to the universe of the week and learn to one up each other, and both returning to New Yolk City with a time skip each time.
That's a really fun narrative loop.
Not to mention each time they travel they're going to cross paths with Shadow.
I definatly think Nine is going to break bad. With his current tragectory of wanting the friendship sonic offered but being too closed off to understand sonic, he's on route to build Metal Sonic. Which I don't believe would happen but I'd so love that.
I do wonder if Nine is going to become an antagonist in the series. It would be pretty interesting yet tragic to see that.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Speaking of antagonists...
We got a voiced teaser for season 2 and Shadow really isn't playing around.
Yeah, he never plays around period, but I don't think we've seen him in a particularly livid state of "why won't you die" with Sonic since SA2? But then, Sonic pulled more than a few stupids, so it's not unwarranted.
Regardless, it looks like if Sonic doesn't have the tech-y stuff from Nine, then he's probably gonna get trapped in the space between dimensions like Shadow was?

Season two trailer has dropped.
Metal Sonic?!
I'm really excited, this season looks like it'll be fun!
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself.Everything else looks cool but what have they done to my boy Metal Sonic?
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).
I don't think I will ever understand Netflix's business strategy for releasing their shows.
Nonetheless, I'm glad to get some news on this show.
