For a work to be considered as "bastardized", would AdaptationDeviation often fit?

I'm asking because I was considering adding to Paddington and Alvin and the Chipmunks franchises about this.

Not a Trope Finder question but more a question when Adaptation Deviation should be used. I don't think In Name Only can count as they still use elements of previous works in the franchises' histories, but I want to be sure Adaptation Deviation isn't used as square peg, round trope with entries.

Adaptation Deviation has a large number of subtropes. First, check if your examples fit any of those.

If you feel the work is "bastardized", i.e. the adaptation is worse in some respects, it's Real Life Adaptation Decay, which is now In-Universe Examples Only, but has a few links to YMMV pages that allow Real Life examples.
