Well alright then.
I wonder if the dub names are gonna be kept? Man Hao being changed to Zeke was funny.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."What's the opinion on how the manga ended? It might cause some wariness on this anime.

Wake me up at your own risk.Oh Damn! I was big on the original anime, so this excites me.
I will say though that as pointed out, I feel like the ending of the manga will provide a problem. I actually preferred the ending of the anime considerably on that note.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I wonder if the old cast will reprise their roles. I always thought Minami Takayama was fantastic as Hao.
Yeeeeeees. I for one like the extended manga ending and cant friggen wait.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireAt the very least I'll finally see for myself how this story winds up sucking off Zeke.
Should be interesting at least.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Is that the general perception?
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireConsidering that Hao is literally God at the end of the manga And is never physically stopped at all, it takes his mother smacking him to stop him from wiping out humanity. Yeah, it kinda does.
It also seems like the cast agrees with Hao's ideology at the end, too.

Watch SymphogearHeck no, 4kids has long been defunct so the new dub will be by someone more competent.
Which means we can say goodbye to this banger:
I'm glad they kept the original theme in the trailer though. As seen here:
The author once said he wouldn't do a reboot if he wasn't allowed to bring the original soundtrack and cast back. Guess he got at least part of his wish.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I cant wait for Al Kahn's Kidtagious company to get this!
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.I mean, I appreciated the non-traditional victory. Not every villain needs to be beaten up to be beaten. And it was a competition to become God. I'd argue being on the losing side was the more interesting eventuality for the heroes.

Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireI mean sure there are plenty of ways to deal with villains but if your baddie is essentially a mad genocider, violence is kind of necessity when dealing with the likes of him.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The problem for me is that Hao was a genocidal madman bent on destroying mankind who essentially wins everything, except the heroes manage to mildly convince him to give them a timer before he wipes out humanity. And the story seems to think that's alright.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Isnt it better to convince him not to kill everybody than to say "lol, naw, they just kill god?" The series has a follow up. Hao mellows out. He even gives Yoh a redo when he proves to be one of the worst manga dads.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireHe could have just not become god or had a more legitimate change of heart rather than the absolute nonsense we got. Or, Hell, yes, they just kill God. That be how it is.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I kind of prefer it when the overpowered villain is defeated by non-traditonal means, especially if the villain had sympathetic enough motives to begin with. In general, "stopping the villain" should take precedence over "punishing the villain".
"I'll show you fear, there is no hell, only darkness." My twitterAn aspect that sorta bugged me was how it viewed normal humans. Kinda pessimistic? Racist even?
Secret SignatureGranted if the villain acts vile enough I think any sympathetic motivations they might have kinda fly's out the window. Like its a very tricky ratio, Zeke may have had a sad past but he's also a genocidal bastard & an extremely smug one at that. I'm more liable to tell him to go fuck himself than make any sort of peace.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."But it worked. They talked him down from his kill 'em all mentality. And plus, killing him didnt work before. He just comes back, still as hateful, still haunted by the darkest thoughts of everyone he meets. Killing him wouldn't fix anything. Just perpetuate the problem.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireThey didn't exactly talk him down. Just convinced him to postpone the extermination of humanity for a while, setting up a Humanity on Trial plot of sorts. Granted, that's better than humanity being destroyed immediately, but the manga's pessimistic tone implies that mankind will fail.

That sounds like a win to me when the alternative was everybody, everywhere dies right now.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaire
Yep, its happening:
Seems like its gonna be more Manga faithful, too.
