I see. She and Ifrit should be friends and not fighting and destroying an entire corridor. Tho we don't know for sure if mad scientists are involved in Red's backstory, given the setting, very likely.

Also just got to Magallan's story. Never seen this character before and afaik not playable in CN.

I'm getting an Error 502 (Verification system service failed) when I try opening up the game, does anyone know what causes the error and how to resolve it?

Yeah, Red basically speaks in... I guess Tarzan Speak is a good analogy. The problem is that it's a lot more acceptable to do that kind of thing in Japanese - take her room assignment line. "Red, heya no naka wa, nareteinai. Demo, iya dewa nai." About the only difference there from what would be a totally grammatical sentence is that she pauses between clauses and refers to herself as "Red" instead of "watashi" or a similar pronoun.

I think adding periods in between can show her broken speech. It's the same for Patriot, but maybe they wanted to distinguish, because Patriot's broken speech is due to Oripathy

The fact that it's more acceptable in Japanese is why I think it makes sense that someone looking only at the written script might think she's a terse badass.

BTW, go play Trails in the Sky, it's great and a better use of your time than whatever you're doing while in quarantine.

I already spent a bunch of money getting Estelle in the Langrisser crossover don't tempt me again.

Dont trip over yourself, it was awhile ago. I whaled for the Sakura Wars crossover too, didn't get them, and quit.

I think they have a Yu Yu Hakusho one as well?

Arknights doesn't really seem well suited for crossovers though? RWBY might work.

In the case of a game like Arknights the solution is to just not give a shit.

It's GBF does, no one complains.

Arknights takes itself a little too seriously for crossovers to land well, imo. Like, every character has a specific place in the world, with the in-universe profiles and the character connection chart and all that, and it'd feel weird for Rhodes Island to suddenly be crawling with non-canon people from other games.

Frankly I really want to play the boss characters too, but it would also feel weird for them.

On the other hand, I'm pretty sure Fang is, like, canonically dead? Didn't W say she killed the recon squad in chapter 1?

Seems Kal'sit really likes to adopt kids. Like this new and as of now unplayable girl

I mean was definitely taunting, but I don't recall a point afterward where they confirmed that is was a lie or anything. If anything, they merely reiterated that a lot of people died in the operation.

Edit: Jessica was part of that mission though, and she was definitely alive in chapter 4 at least.

SW-EV-5 is not as hard as I thought...then again, I have Ifrit and she's the MVP of that.

Challenge on the other hand...boy I rely so hard on natural DP gen to drop her ASAP after my core units are on field...

So it turns out there are some more vocal songs being licensed for the game

It sounds okay, I certainly like it more than the last one they were promoting.

Finally watched all of the Operation Intelligence stories.

Almost all the stories are related to the Ursus Empire like Hellagur and Patriot being former Ursus military. Hopefully we get to see Heavyrain, Simone and Mumu again.

Except in the sense that literally the entire game has been about Chernoborg and its fallout anyway.

It seems we'll be celebrating Halloween on April

Also new standard banner with Saria and Firewatch likely in the shop. For me, I already have everyone in that banner, so I consider it a nice break to save up.

I finally got the Top Operator tag!

..it got me Shining, who I already had. Oh well, I can't complain about the DP cost reduction.

The headhunt letdown in this game feels a lot more brutal than in other games, somehow. I'm really sad I won't be able to get Magallan, unless she shows up in the ticket shop at some point or something.

^ Unless it's Nian, you still had a chance to get her if you draw a 6* in headhunt even out of banner. It's low chance but it's there.

And talk about crossover... Need more Hololive crossover
