This event's EX stages have no extra story scenes? I'm hoping we actually have the result from various cliffhangers at the end of the event story.
I think someone pointed out that no event since Great Chief Returns has had extra story for the EX stages. There might be more, but we might have to wait until the rerun for it.
It's been fun.I think I just noticed this because Great Chief event has a concrete ending, so there's no sense of wanting to know more about what's going on. By contrast, this event practically pops out several cliffhangers at the end, with Blemishine's profile pretty much skips everything except the end result of those cliffhangers. It's kind of a cop-out.
Speaking of that topic, it appears that the events slowly easing up on putting the story behind the EX stages gate. Heart of Surging Flame has story bit behind every EX stage, so when I was new and struggling to even clear main stage 8, losing the scene bums me out. Code of Brawl is a little better because you only need to clear one EX stage.
Well, I beat MN-EX-8 CM and got all the medals. First with a borrowed Surtr and then without her just to prove to myself that I could. I have to say that last map with those tiles removed is not at all friendly to my mostly-sniper squad. By which I mean literally half my squad is usually snipers.
Also cleared all EX stages and their challenge modes and likewise, I also gave an attempt to clear MN-EX-8 CM without Surtr. I do find that the lack of range tiles just makes everything Ifrit lanes now. But anyway, this guy's 3 star only clear of MN-EX-8 CM puts anything I did to shame
Beat MN-EX-8 CM, I'm basic so I went for Surtr to make my time easier, though I did not expect Phantom's third skill to eke out enough damage to be the final blow to the withered knights .
Question: could the diamond shape that appears with Amiya's skills and depictions of Originium be considered an Arc Symbol?
If the diamond has something to do with what originium really is, or some dark secret about its power source, then maybe. As it is, it just seems to be a visual effect for Arts.
Though, that only applies if the diamond is notably visible on other casters and not just Amiya's effects, which I think it is?
It's been fun.I ask because I think it pops up elsewhere like Mudrock's hair clips or PRTS' logo.
My suspicion is mostly because OP and Orundum also have diamond on them.
By the way, because this week 60 minutes drawing challenge is about Ashlock Knight, I was made aware that her real name in Japanese is Kai. Flametail is still Sonna, tho.
Would make sense since the wiki had listed her codename as "Noblegrey" before the event was localized and the Dub Codename Change was disclosed, would make sense if her actual name was also altered since "Ashley" seem too much a pun on "ash" to be a coincidence.
EDIT: the next Global banner seems to had been revealed. Featuring Thorns, Siege, Texas, Executor and Tsukinogi.

With the latest JP stream, it seems like global servers will be getting chapter 8 and all of its assorted stuff on April 30th.
Animated PV for Chapter 8. Btw, regarding the additional stuff, apparently it was mentioned in the stream that the paid guaranteed 6 star will include all 6 stars up to Phantom (except limited Nian of course). This should mean Rosa and Suzuran will be included which is different from CN due to the event rearrangement in Global.
Does that include Mudrock and Rosmontis?
It's been fun.No, Phantom Banner came before that and it would prolly be a poor business choice to let those two ops be outright bought so soon.
Oh, sorry, I was responding to Nouct's post - I know Mudrock and Rosmontis wouldn't be included in the paid ticket right off.
It's been fun.Yeah the Mudrock/Rosmontis banner will go up with chapter 8, they even had a segment to show off Mudrock, Rosmontis, Whisperain, and Jackie in H6-4 on the stream.

Has limited unit ever got a repeat?
I really like these Reunion themed LINE stamps they showed off in the stream: [1]◊
Meanwhile I'm finnaly getting off my ass and progressing the story. the goal is to do Ch 4 and 5 before the anniversary and then its back to the grind/gameplay loop of events and farming for rocks/money/tapes/chips

Nian recently rerun in CN before Dusk event and then she was also a spook in Saga/Dusk banner. Iirc, the devs said that limiteds will rerun their banner a year after their release and then also be available in the new limited banner after the respective reruns.
"If music be the food of love, PLAY ON" - William ShakespeareCleared up to the first Episode 4 boss.
- We have a small hint of Frosty, and the first appearance of known school-despot Mephisto.
- We also have Ch'en, and hints to her past and relationship with Tallulah, which will be more evident in a 1.5 weeks. And we also have her initially denying Amiya's plan to cooperate on the grounds of an infected making things work. Its been so long that I almost forgot she started out as the Noble Bigot with a Badge archetype. Of course I assume she'll eventually shared both the "bigot" and the "badge" parts
- This is also Hoshiguma's first appearance in the story to my recollection. As well as the debut of Frostleaf and Meteorite.
EDIT: made it through Mutual Benefits. it is very evident that Ch'en is looking for her estranged sister. Also got the last Keel for the base.
EDIT: Managed to get to the FN boss, in which she proved to be formidable, also has a Patriot cameo in the cut-scenes. Its almost like the two were related. Now to clean up the 3 bonus stages.
I do have a few questions.
- For Chinese speakers, What does the name of Ch'en's sword translate into? The BEMANI fan in me hopes its "Dragon Blade"
- More seriously and generally what are the Yeti's doing in Chernobog, apart from the whole "Reunion takes over the ruins"? Like what is their role among Reunion's forces?
- I'm also assuming from the Rewinding Breeze vignettes that the Iberian dynamic duo had joined RI before the events of Evil Time right?

I can't remember exactly when this is explained, but basically Reunion was built around a pre-existing paramilitary force fighting a guerilla war against Ursus, of which the Yetis are a branch led by Frostnova. So you could say they are the "original" revolutionaries and everyone else you've fought so far is just an eager yet untrained recruit.
Their role is just that they've been fighting this war way longer than anyone else and are more professional, but they also have more loyalty to their pre-existing brothers in arms than they do to Reunion itself.

I wasn't able to finished the 8 Ex challenge which is pretty much the norm for me. Its just to tight even with guides.
Well I pulled onthe new banner with tickets and the most notable pulls are Cuora and Parmanix, both dupes, but at least everyone favorite baseball turtle is Pot 6 now.
