The League of Heroes> "My father's here?"
"Of course he isn't dumbass, he's been at work for hours. He's gonna be pissed you didn't get up on time."
He isn't really your father. You haven't seen your real father since you were very young - young enough that you don't really have any memories of him. The only thing you have to remember him by is the souvenir he left you when you were a baby.
What is it?
> "What do I gotta do?"
"It's a log day," she explains as you start to get dressed. "You are to carry the logs into the warehouse and scrape the bark off of them by hand."
Fun.
> Ask yourself if you're dreaming.
God, you hope so. Even the forest is better than this.
Hold on... the forest? Oh, that's right. You were surviving in the forest for a couple days. What happened after that? How did you get back here....?
Your mother's voice suddenly sinks about 5 decibels deeper. "Are you coming, or are you just gonna stand there like an idiot?"
> Open the blinds and check out all the snow outside... before realizing there's a bunch of strange almost alien footprints you've never seen before.
You follow your mother out the door to discover that it's snowing. A hideous chill suddenly fills your body. What's more, you can see footprints in the snow. They look strange and alien, but oddly similar to bear prints.
You take a look back inside the house. There's ivy crawling up the walls.

"Ok, Boomer," you retort.
Your mother stops in place, turning around slowly to glare at you. Her eyes make a horrific squelching sound as a pair of inner eyelids blink beneath her normal ones.
> Ask your mother why her hairline looks like a BMX track
"What the fuck did you just say to me, you little bitch?!" she snarls, suddenly sprouting a pair of massive horns from her forehead.
Time to run.
> Follow the footprints.
You bolt across the yard, following the strange alien bear prints. But to your surprise, they lead... right to the back of your house. The ivy crawling up the walls here is thick and bristling.
>Touch the ivy quickly
You reach up a hand and press your entire palm against the ivy.
"That's poison ivy, you absolute fucking idiot," your mother snarls, turning a corner to face you.
>Pick some bright red berries
The poison ivy suddenly sprouts loads of bright red berries. You decide to pick some for some reason.
"That's deadly nightshade you absolute motherfucking piece of shit idiot fuckface."
>Buy chewing gum stocks.
"Lucky smells is our life," you mutter. "Lucky smells is our home."
Your mother suddenly stops in her tracks, her gaze going blank.
"Lucky smells is our life, lucky smells is our home."
Now's your chance!
> Smack myself in the head hard
You smack your head against the wall as hard as you can, passing out instantly.
You awaken back in the forest, at the bank of the river. It's snowing, and you're freezing. Also, your hand has wandered into a patch of poison ivy.
You see bear tracks in the snow.

> Find a cure for your rash.
You search around the woods, but you can't find any known remedies for poison ivy from your immediate surroundings. Well, except...
>Touch the snow
You bend down and press your hand against the snow. Oh, yeah. Now that feels good.
You gather some snow into a little ball and keep the palm of your hand firmly pressed against it as you continue investigating.
> Follow the tracks with caution
Against your better judgment, you start to follow the bear tracks into the woods. Carefully and slowly, so as not to attract the attention of any wild animals, you wander through the foilage, keeping a close eye on the tracks.
> Actually make samurai armor out of wood this time.
You do not have the tools or the mental fortitude to make a samurai armor out of wood. Sorry to disappoint.
> find the bear
You follow the bear tracks, and eventually reach a clearing. There's bushes full of ripe berries around here, but what's more, you see something that sends your heart spinning. Beyond the clearing, you see no more trees - only the vast, starry horizon. You've finally done it. You've made it out of the forest.
Your celebrations are cut short when you hear shuffling and snorting among the bushes. You quickly hid behind a tree, peeking out only to find the tracks once again. You follow them with your eyes, until your gaze lands upon a large, furry behind. You've found the bear - though it doesn't seem to have seen you yet. It appears to me munching happily on the berries in the bushes.
Also, its fur appears to be made up of thousands of twinkling stars.
>Find a toothy baby.
Suddenly, you see the horizon start to... shift. The sky seems to ripple with movement, the stars moving along at a quickened pace.
You hear a horrific growl from up above. You gulp as your eyes move upwards, eventually landing upon an enormous face among the stars, with a horrific snout marked by long, sharp jaws.
That's when you realize it. You're not looking at the night sky. You're looking at the same celestial fur that covers the bear in front of you - only this other creature is enormous. If you had to guess, you've just found the mama bear, and the normal-sized bear in front of you is just her toothy baby.
You hope to whatever gods are out there that she hasn't seen you.

> ask who's knocking
"Who do you think, genius?!" scoffs a voice behind the door, before the banging gets louder. "Open up right now!!!"
> Check the door
You force yourself out of the warm and comfortable safety of your bed and groggily open up the door, bracing for the worst.
> Hope it's not a monster.
It is a monster.
"About damn time you got out of bed, you insolent god-for-nothing sloth," your mother snarls. "Let's go. You're joining your father for work today."
What do you do?
