So I take it this is a different project from the big Mandoverse crossover Filoni has been planning?

There's something about that title...it's what you normally name some syndicated Hannah Barbera cartoon in the 80s

There's something legit hilarious to me about describing Filoni as "'Ahsoka' creator".

Like. He's made some other things too. Maybe you've heard of them.

Such as "The Mandalorian".

Can't say I'm that excited for a Mando movie. I found I liked Mando best at the smaller-scale, just a man trying to make his way in the galaxy storytelling.

I feel like Din would best be used like Spider-Man.

Which is to say, give him his own space and let him do his own thing in his series. But also loan him out to anyone who wants a cool guest star to show up. (And not the way Book of Boba Fett did where he took over a third of the show.)

He's just a cool mercenary. There's no reason for Din to be the driving factor behind developing the Star Wars universe as a whole. Let him just go around and do small-scale merc stuff. Save the universe-defining big deal continuity-heavy extravaganzas for characters like Ahsoka.

But also, he's a cool mercenary. Literally the only motivation he needs to be involved in anything is, "Sure, I'll take that job." He is perfectly suited to be everybody's "I know a guy".

So I kinda get the idea for the film. The shows arc is over. The Big Bad is dead.

So they want to do something new in a different medium.

Is this the same or different from the "Filoni finale" movie that will supposedly incorporate details from everything he's worked on?

It is diferent thing. Thought whether it means rumors about season 4 being turned into a movie are true or it is like first X files movie has yet to be seen.

I liked it. I don’t say you are wrong, but I find it charming for exactly that reason, it also shows that Grogu is officially co protagonist with his dad.

I imagine Pedro Pascal becoming one of the most in demand actors in Hollywood has something to do with it, as well. Brother is busy.

Not that the Mandalorian requires much of his time.
