Welcome to HGS: Another Side Another Story. It is a roleplay spinoff for the Hunger Games Simulator forum game, akin to both the RP's in the Roleplaying section as well as the ITTs in Forum Games. It tells the story of the Hunger Games in the Arena of Panem, the nominators who sent the tributes, the tributes themselves both in and out of the Arena or even other people relevant to the Games. In addition, it also tells their stories beyond the Arena.
You can jump right in with any character, like your nominator self, your tributes, etc. The structure of this RP will be open-world. Don't worry about not being skilled/experienced enough or being new to RP'ing. Finally, ASAS accepts any skill level or RP style. Other than these, there are some important rules to note, which are:
- No godmodding will be allowed or tolerated here. The offending player will be given punishment depending on the severity.
- Please communicate anything important you plan on another player with the said player first. Don't just execute it without their consent.
- Don't be rude to other players, both out and in-universe. This extends to RP offenses like railroading, guilt-tripping, coercing, or other forms of forcing them.
- This RP is related to the Hunger Games Simulation:Beyond the Possibilities forum game. Thus it will have events based from that game, including the tributes. This means if you want to RP as tributes, please nominate them officially on the thread first, with misses not being counted. This has to be done after an incident with a player who hasn't joined the game itself yet.
- Since this RP is Loose Canon in relation to the main HGS thread, the host's interpretation of events isn't necessarily 100% canon. Every player has the right to deviate from what the host says and go with their own interpretations. If multiple players have their tributes involved in the same event(s), please communicate with each other so that you're on the same page regarding how you see them.
- This RP chronicles the lives of the nominators and their tributes behind the scenes. While dark plots are acceptable, the overall tone of the RP should be light-hearted and comedic. This RP is not a Cosmic Horror Story or action story about defeating evil. It is a Slice of Life comedy with some adventure to it, first and foremost. Our previous RP, Convergence, is not representative of the intended tone, and the grimdark tone of that RP is one of the main reasons it was retooled.
- Nominators and tributes alike can transform into Pokemon whenever they enter a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon World (but they can bypass this with certain items/methods or shapeshifting) or via other means outside it such as a season event, Transformation Trinkets, or shapeshifting. The players are free to choose the Pokéforms that best suit their characters and even give them color schemes outside the standard and Shiny colors, but there is a hard rule for this. If you want your character's Pokéform to be a Legendary, Mythical, or Ultra Beast, please ask the RP mods for approval. Outside the Arena, these Pokéforms are still OP, but we want to give leeway for tributes who theoretically can have them such as deities.

Detective Gamechanger's Base
A sharp-dressed man in a green suit and yellow tie is standing by the entrance of the base. He is of average height and has whitish skin, though still a bit darker. He is Billy, one of the nominators and the organizer of the party.
Indeed, after the nominators' returned and settled their problems, they decide to have fun with a party. Billy also sent invites for all the other nominators out there, as well as basically anyone else, including tributes, non associated parties, interested nominators who haven't participate yet, or even those who just wants to hang out.
The place itself in the base is refurbished for party purposes. Fancy chairs and tables are set everywhere for people to relax, as well as put food and other objects for the latter. There's also various collections showcased, including those belonging to the Detective, like his classic cars. Various themes to the base are set too, including detective noir as GC would have preferred.
Billy is now awaiting for other guests to arrive. He is also ready to give them a pleasant surprise during the party pertaining to his nation.

Mimi takes one look at the mask and tries to eat it, but 6k1 voice activates the muzzle. The DM then comes out of hiding and puts it on Mimi before petting her.
"Sorry that she tried running away from you. She thought you were a 'bad person'."
6k1 explains to the monster that Mimi lost her parents to the "bad people" before GC gave her her egg. Mimi cries, but her owner continues stroking her.
"Thanks for the gift..." the Starble says to the Phantom.
The Waterblight then sniffs the DM's armor for any weapons. 6k1 places Mimi down and draws out a sword.
"Yes, Dave gave me this last Christmas to make up for postponing my training at the Kingdom Hearts Universe. He's looking for a sparring partner for me so I can prepare for the Nominator Games."

While he waits to see how Cheetah and Catra will fare this season, he notices the crystal ball glowing and rubs it.
"Happy to hear that everything went well with Twilight. Hope things go just as great with Fluttershy."

Power then asks Ichi to text 6k1 because she was probably too busy when she tried calling her.

Billy's Mansion
Billy checks his calendar in the night. It will be two days before his birthday. After doing so, he ponders on what he did the previous days.
After Uraraka's death, he revived her as usual and made her go through the usual procedure, before sending her back. After this, Billy saw as Clause got kidnapped twice, somehow became more arrogant and dumber in the process by training from Hell, and then killed by their own stupidity. Immediately, he revived them before doing the usual.
Suddenly after this however, Billy saw as a person appeared in his office through a gap-like portal, right in front of him. The person was wearing a feudal Japanese shinto priest outfit, and they brought along their friend. Immediately, they both introduced themselves as Tsurubami Senri and Tenkai Zuifeng respectively.
They both immediately talked to Billy about a huge project involving Mugenri. As they discussed about it, Billy learnt that Tsurubami and Tenkai were planning to do the same thing Yukari and the Youkai Sages did, to open up Mugenri to the Outside World by disabling the whole barrier, which would have the side effect of somehow bringing certain people there to the Game. In addition, Tsurubami and Tenkai revealed that it would also bring two people from the Outside World too, as well as Lapxus.
After this revelation, Tsurubami and Tenkai requested that Billy nominated them and the entire people. After some deliberation, Billy agreed, knowing he could revive everyone there, and nominated when the time had come. Billy however left an empty slot for a certain nominator who kept missing seasons because they were too late.
Back to present day, Billy eventually decides to message Tabby and Elliot. To Tabby, he says that he's sending a worker and guards to help check on Akumo and Tabby, and save the latter if they can. He also offers to send a tribute if his too who is willing. And as for Elliot, he informs him about the second V Incident and then how the fifth Dragon Ball is still being searched by the help of Tabby and her group.
Billy then sends a message to 6k1, as he just wants to reach out to her at the moment. It says, "Hello 6k1. I just want to send you this message to support you and know your current situation. For me, I am going to have my birthday in two days."
Detective GC's World
After getting over the shock of the second V Incident happening, Detective Tableturner decides to research Kain's history and learns of his true nature. He eventually concludes, "Looks like he somewhat deserves his fate like Timewrecker, as horrifying as it is."
He then checks on his computer to show the contracts he has. Among the huge list of universes, clients, and tasks, there is one from Billy himself. Basically, Detective Tableturner is allowed control over Detective GC's previous holdings, including the base.
Immediately, Detective Tableturner walks into a portal in his apartment, donning a large brown coat. He then equips two pistols, which looks like they are from the 1930's, but they can shoot plasma. He also has a light knife, with the blade taking the shape of a bowie knife. He then quips himself with other items to prepare for any scenarios. Satisfied with this, he leaves for the Base.

Meanwhile as 6k1 is busy with the Waterblight Ganon, George Sifher is just on his own room, focusing on his job. He recently decides to involve even more of the Hunger Games community, consisting of fans, viewers, gamemakers, and nominators in a website called the Hunger Games Wiki. In fact, he is now databasing a season.
Somewhere in Panem
Two soldiers are patrolling the place when they heard something coming out. Immediately, they quietly, but quickly approach the area, trying to see who's there. They are also equipped with hidden cameras that can record high resolution image and video live, as well as send that information quickly to the whole military and government.

Pecan then sees Bebe observing the vat just as soon she comes back from transferring Tabby somewhere.She tries to catch her from falling but ultimately fails.
"Bebe,that stuff is as dangerous as Nightmare Fuel!"
She picks her up out of the vat,she is covered with Sweet Dreams Fuel.
"Anyway,Ribbon. It was nice to have you. Thankfully we got that problem under control. Let me give you a parting gift."
She gives her a shiny little star inside of a glass case.
"We found that in District 1 when we were shopping. A belated Christmas Gift,I suppose? Anyway,farewell!"
She then opens and closes the door for Ribbon.She turns to Magolor.
"Hey,Magolor. It would be nice to leave now as we aren't doing anything else today. Maybe we can check out that new cafe in District 1 once Tabby regains consciousness."
Recovery
Tabby sits on a hospital bed,her eyes flutter open and then jerks her head to side to throw up a eldritch Akumo.
"Ugh,what do you want? I'm tired of you possessing me."
"I hope those couple of days taught a lesson."
"Lesson? I'm not in school."
"YOU KNOW WHAT I MEANT! Could you stop taking this with a grain of salt?!"
"No I will not. You getting angry is funniest thing in the world."
"I'm this close to shocking you,I'm dead serious."
"My master will so disappointed in me in failing to split up the noimators. I thought this plan was foolproof."
"Until you decided to make me attack Pecan,leading her to contain us and led us to this shit. You're a terrible villain."
"Huh,my mortal enemy is right about something for once. Perhaps you seem worthy in his eyes as his servant."
"Bitch,I serve nobody."
"You will soon as soon as revise my plans."
"YOU. ARE. TELLING. YOUR. WORST. ENEMY. THIS. How stupid are you?"
Tabby grabs a glass cube behind her and charges it with energy, She points it at Akumo. The same way she done to The Forgotten One all those seasons ago.
"What are you doing?!"
"These cubes are made with the same tech as Pokeballs. Run away now or face my wrath."
She steps towards Akumo slowly. He steps back as well.
"I'll leave you alone for now but I'll be back much stronger."
"Bring it on,coward!"
He teleports away to a faraway dimension.

Akumo then appears in a eldritch location,he looks up at tall figure.
"Terminus,isn't it? I'm interested in joining you as my old master is no longer with us anymore.I have a grudge with the nominators and surely do you? I won't fail to disappoint."

6k1 excuses herself for a moment and replies to Ichi:
Good to hear. Hope she'll do well with Fluttershy. And here's the recap of last season for her...
Also, the Waterblight Ganon visited me to play with Mimi. She was scared of it, but it didn't mean any harm. It even gave her a mask as a gift.
She then replies to Billy, also telling him about Power and the Blight.
And your birthday's coming up? Advanced Happy Birthday. Mine's on St. Paddy's, so expect me to nominate green tributes by then.
She also thinks of getting him a gift, but like with GC, she might not have time for it. Oh well, at least she greeted him.

"Bad...? I can be bad person, like I did when I first met Heart or when I need food. And Ball not the first one. Scattered Brain also gave gift to Edgy Cat before." explained the Waterblight.
The Phantom listened to Mimi's backstory. "But I bad too. I kill parents. I kill children. Always better for more food. But I sure that your bad people would be great food"
The monster looked at the sword, listening to 6k1's explanation and put one of it's finger on it. The tip of the sword went throught the Blight's finger, but it didn't hurted it.
The monster then looked at it's longer arm as it glew before invocating the Sheikah Device and the massive spear it carried.
"No, no, no. Not fair. Too long!" it exclaimed before the spear disappeared along with the device.
"Sparring. It's like fighting but no killing? Thunder also have sword. Thunder may spare with Heart, but Thunder hate failure. Thunder exigeant. Thunder can hurt. If Heart wants, Thunder can fight but no kill with Heart, and maybe even Brother." it said to 6k1.
Panem
Just as Scipion exited the portal, he was greeted by 2 soldiers patrolling the area.
"Huh? Ah, perfect timing, guys!" he exclaimed while licking his lips. "My fun just got ruined back in my homeworld, you'll make excellent replacements as my toys! Eyeeheehee!"
Meanwhile, the Rescue Squad was still inside the portal, chasing after Scipion. There was still a lot of distance between them and the exit when Aaron stopped for a moment.
"Dude, something's wrong?" asked Alex.
"I just realised something. Have you guys heard of the Hunger Games?"
"I just know the name and that it's multiversal. Mindblowing."
"Those games were innocent people from other universe are killed in a world full of humans? I never understood how people like to see others fighting with each other for no reason."
"Yeah. There was a rumor saying that a group of people called the nominators are the one forcing them to kill each other. And... Scipion may be one of them."
"WHAT?! That bastard stopped killing in our world just so he can force people from other world to fight for his own pleasure?! Hell no!" exclaimed Alex, shocked and angry at the revelation.
"So if this rumor is true, that means... that these "nominators" may also be cruel and sadistics monsters like him." added Tokage, frowning.
"You're right. If that's true, we have to stop this madness." sighed Aaron.
"But we're only three! And according to the rumors, the nominators are far more numerous and very well equiped against all threats!"
"I know Alex, but we have no choice. If we can defeat Scipion for good , we may save countless life. And if those games are that cruel and this portal lead to Panem, we could put a stop to it. I'm sure that if we work together, we will not fail."
"Hmph. Like always. " smirked Tokage.
"Yeah! We'll beat Scipion's ass for good this time!" added Alex. The trio joined their hands together.
"Thanks guys! Let's go then!"

Mimi shudders at the Phantom's explanation, but 6k1 reassures her that it won't harm her. It then suggests sparring with the Thunderblight Ganon to 6k1.
"Hmm, well, it's a big risk, so I'll go check with Dave."
She texts him about it, and also Ichi. However, she already has second thoughts about training with a monster as big as the Waterblight.

"Honestly, I had no idea this weird-ass time loop thing even happened. Must've just been a real specific side effect of the Kain Incident or somethin'. Probably won't happen again, anyway, so let's not dwell on or fret about it too much."
He texts 6k1 back.
Sparring with that beastie sounds pretty risky, even if it ain't fighting to kill, so I'd recommend passing.

As Bale nominated his next set of tributes, he wanted Xochi yo recount how many creatures had been re-captured.
Xochi: My systems detect that all but one creature were captured and returned to their places.
Bale: And what happened to the escaped one?
Xochi: I'm afraid it might have used an escape pod to flee the base.
Bale: Oh man, that's bad, anyways can you tell me which creature it was?
Xochi: It seems that it was the alien plantlife known as Audrey Jr/II.
Bale: Oh, I see, well, we'll have to take care of that eventually in the future.
"Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."

"Uh no, the loop happens whenever a tribute celebrates their birthday in the Arena, causing the season to be dated. And if another tribute celebrates theirs..."
She clarifies that it was Uraraka's birthday that caused the loop instead of Kain's because no one, not even the Gamemakers, knew when his birthday was until Uraraka celebrated hers.

Magolor retorts "She's very feisty, you know."
Suddenly, a girl
emerges from the vat. It's Nagisa Momoe, who emerged from Bebe after a similar incident!
"Oh yeah, that happened!"
"Hello again!"
"That was unexpected."
"Well, if we want to leave, let's go!"
The Winter's End, District 1 Outpost
Kirby and Dedede take a seat. Dedede then orders a hot coffee for him and hot chocolate for Kirby.

The Winter's End, District 1 Outpost
Dark Ribbon brews a cup of mocha and a cup of hot chocolate and serves to to Dedede and Kirby. Both of them are made of high quality materials, presumably extracted from the tribute summoning portals, which explains the rather inexpensive price. It only costs 5 Panem dollars per drink, but the quality of the materials definitely worth more than 50 Panem dollars.
"Here they are, your coffee and chocolate."
Meanwhile, Forte sets up the snooker table, the dart board and the firing range, all of which are left by the former owner of this outpost.
"By the way, the Winter's End is more than just a cafe, it's a gathering hall. We have plenty of cool toys for you to play with, you can throw some darts, play snooker, bowling balls or even real guns. So enjoy your stay."

He strokes the top of his crystal ball in an attempt to mime petting the artistic blue pony.
"Fine, I won't see about getting Paylor to do away with celebrating birthdays in the Games, even if it causes weird as fork time loops."

Power smiles and perks her ears back up. She looks out the window and sees that the scenery has changed from mountains to plains.
"I'm around halfway there to Ponyville, so I still have some time to kill. What else has 6k1 been up to?"

"Well, she's learned that the Waterblight Ganon's actually pretty decent for a Ganon monster, even if it accidentally scared her voracious little pet fuzzball. Thought that thing would be a nightmare of a roommate/neighbor."

"Knew it! Knew it! Good idea. Small Thunder would have hurt Heart."
The Phantom decided it was time to leave.
"I go now. Bothered Heart and Ball enough. One last thing Heart. Wind, Fire or Thunder might replace me one day! Similar, but also different. Goodbye!" it said as it waved it's hand at 6k1 and the Starble before turning into a blue ball and leaving back to it's ice palace.

The Winter's End, District 1 Outpost
"Hello, welcome to the Winter's End, Panem's smallest cafe. My name's Dark Ribbon... or just Ribbon, and I'm here to brew and serve some drinks."
A young girl in glasses greets her new customer. This is Dark Ribbon, also known as Ribbon. She doesn't seem to have a name of her own and she only calls herself Ribbon because of the deep blue ribbons on her braided pigtails.
"What'd you like to order? We have a huge varieties of drinks, be it mochas, cappuccinos, or even cocktails. Just name anything you like and I'd make it for you. We're still doing a test run and everything now costs less than usual. So, enjoy."
Meanwhile, Forte submits a schoolgirl and a robot girl as her next season's tributes using an old tablet, which seems to be a relic from Hassel's Quarters, a long-defunct organisation, presumably due to bankruptcy.
"That'll do it... Oh, hi. My name's Turn Fortissimo, or just Forte. I'm the so-called boss of this place and that airhead's handler, welcome to our new cafe."
