I'd like to see Boba confront how his life has essentially been a gigantic waste.
Far from whatever his father had plans for him, how he just became a remorseless dog for the Empire and essentially has nothing to live for.
He's in a worse state than Vader because Vader had family, Boba has nothing. He's completely alone in the universe.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."He’s Jack Marston!
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Though one should note that Jango's life wasn't exactly stellar either. He was also nothing more than another greedy bounty hunter. Neither Jango or Boba truly honor the Mandalorian culture despite wearing their armor.

Disgusted, but not surprisedI'd like Boba to confront the fact he's fucking dead.
Maybe he walks out of the pit only to quickly be gunned down by Cad Bane the minute he breathes.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Look, there's only one solution to this dilemma:
Zombie Boba Fett.
Cad Bane's dead too though. Or at least he would be if the series hadn't been cancelled.
Disgusted, but not surprisedBut Boba Fett killed Cad Bane during the Clone Wars era. That's how he regained his father's title as the best Bounty Hunter in the galaxy.
Really, there are ways to explore Boba Fett's character that is not badass. And finding himself in a post-ROTJ world with his reputation in ruins is a great way to explore his character.

@M84 True but Boba never did avenge him.
Which is pretty awful cause he never came to terms with his fathers death. Mace died completely divorced from him & the Jedi were exterminated or plunged into hiding so he couldn't even take revenge by proxy.
All he's stuck with is his own hatred & self-loathing in how he couldn't accomplish anything worth a damn in his entire life.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. It's kind of funny we went from "Boba, who fell into a pit of death, is alive" to "Cad Bane, who might have been gunned down in a unfinished episode that Dave Filoni refused to concretely answer and that hasn't been canonized as of yet, is dead".
Badass or not, Boba simply is not an interesting character for me. He's someone the franchise needs to evolve beyond, period.

"All you Fascists bound to lose."Part of Boba's development was letting go of his hatred for Windu. Or at least, he realized that trying to get revenge was just making him miserable.
So instead he settled for life as an amoral bounty hunter only in it for the money.
Disgusted, but not surprisedIt might be interesting to see Boba escape from the Sarlecc, only to find out that Han Solo, now a General in the new Galactic government and dating one of its highest ranking politicians, has put a bounty on Boba's head.
"It takes an idiot to do cool things, that's why it's cool" - Haruhara HarukoDisney Villain Death aren't really conclusive compared to being shot in the head (unless you explode but that was proven to be a non-factor according to TROS).
But really, the only reason I want Boba Fett come out of the Sarlacc is to live with the fact that his great legend has been in tatters and he could never regain it due to his injuries from the pit. And thus he must decide if he wants to die in a blaze of glory or retire and settle with a family.

Why would Han do that though? How would he even know Boba survived?

Disgusted, but not surprisedIt's not like he saw Boba fall into the pit; he was blind at the time, remember, and even the people with working eyes weren't necessarily keeping track of him the whole time.
"It takes an idiot to do cool things, that's why it's cool" - Haruhara HarukoCompromise: Boba prequel series. He can still be dead in the Sarlacc, as he should be, but anybody who actually cares about him can still get their fill of him.
Lot of people there. I think one of them would notice.

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.I do kind of like the idea of Boba being permanently put out of action due to losing a limb or something to the Sarlacc's teeth or digestive juices and being forced to make a living as a moisture farmer or something.
Disgusted, but not surprisedI like the idea of Boba just barely surviving, having an existential crisis about his life, and eventually deicding to put an end to the cycle of blood kickstarted by his ancestors Mandolorian lifestyle and retires into a life of peace & mundane.
Kinda like how Ventress did in Legends.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Though again, it wasn't even the Mandalorian lifestyle. It was the bounty hunter lifestyle.
Mandalorian culture has issues, but it does offer a sense of community that Boba really could have used growing up.

Disgusted, but not surprisedNot really. When it comes to deconstructing legends that was popularized by TLJ, Boba Fett is one of those characters that is actually perfect for the subject. His entire character in OT is built around myths and mystery, so to see that myth be deconstructed in a post-ROTJ with Boba alive is always interesting to me.

I think brought it up before, but Boba would be perfect for a coming of age story set during the transition period from the Republic to the Empire.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. The unfinished scene doesn't even show Bane was shot in the head. You can't see the blasterfire landing anywhere in the scene, just Bane and Boba flying backwards while his hat falls from his head (something that would have been accomplished by the shot landing anywhere in his body).
I'm pretty 100% sure the plan was for Boba to kill Bane at the end of TCW to wrap up their arcs, but the fact of the matter is the episode is unfinished, unaired and both Filoni and Disney have consistently refused to slot it back in canon either by Word of God or by adaptation (like the Maul comic books or the Asajj Ventress book, both of which canonized unfinished scripts and episodes). This would so far indicate that yes, Cad Bane is in limbo. I think it's a mistake to act as if it s canon. If it was for sure canon Disney would already have done it. They probably will in the future, but the delay can only be explained by the fact they're mulling it over.

"All you Fascists bound to lose."Plus I'd like to see Boba & Mando (can I use his name or is that a spoiler?) interact.
It could be pretty sweet, Boba finally burying all his past demons and kinda passing the torch to his successor.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Does he deserve that kind of dignified end though? Plus Mando is basically Boba if Boba wasn't a terrible character. Bit of a weird interaction.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."
I think the "digesting for a thousand years" bit Jabba mentioned is supposed to imply that it's a very slow and agonizing death. So it might actually be possible that Boba was still (mostly) in one piece when the Jawas started ripping into the Sarlacc.
