I enjoyed The Marvel Superhero Adventures shorts, so seeing another Marvel cartoon for Disney Junior, especially one with this premise, sounds interesting.
According to Steve Hulett, this series is the only one officially worked on by Marvel Animation left, and that's a small crew. He placed Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur in the Disney TVA category, and he didn't answer the question about the Hulu shows and What If?
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Here's hoping Marvel Animation gets a reboot of sorts.
Honestly, out of all of Marvel's more well-known superheroes, Spidey seems like the best fit for a series aimed at an audience this young. I sense this could be a very fun show.
I still wonder what they will call Miles. They might go the Marvel Super Hero Adventures way of calling him Spider-Man too, or they might get Ultimate-ish and call him Kid Arachnid.
Or they might get the Ghost Spider and Champions route and call him Shadow Spider.
Either way I’m scared.
If there's a book you want to read, but it hasn't been written yet, then you must write it. Toni MorrisonBut seriously, it's hilarious that he has this problem each time. And it's getting bigger like Avengers Assemble used Evil Black Widow and called her Scarlet Widow and used Female Thor and changed her to Thunderstrike.

They actually use Spy-D in Marvel's Spider-Man, so...
Honestly, this is why I think it's a mistake that Marvel moved Miles to the main Earth and keeps trying to portray Miles as a colleague of Peter in cartoons.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).They did? I thought they went with Kid Arachnid again.
There was a storyboard/recording for season one's "Spider-Island" arc that had Gwen call him Kid Arachnid, but that line was gone from the final dialogue. In the second season's "Goblin War" arc (I forget which episode), he sneaks past Goblin goons with invisibility, and I think either Gwen or Anya give him the name Spy-D.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).It seems like the show might come out in the summer given the titles and descriptions for these books. I'm not sure where the covers were found, but they do look legitimate.

I see they're calling Miles "Spin" now. I still like Kid Arachnid better, but it's an improvement over Spy-D.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Miles lives a cursed existence, forced to keep getting new nicknames in adaptations.
An updated image for the book Superhero Hiccups came out. It looks like the Green Goblin is the villain. I don't know where the preview pages were found, but it looks official.

So apparently, here Miles Morales's superhero name is...Miles.
This is completely ridiculous.

The website of Lily Rose Sanfelippo mentions how she's doing voice work for the show, though it doesn't specify who she's playing. There's something that says "Spiderman (20), Series Regular, Disney Junior/Various", which indicates a role in the series. The voice roles she's had include young Tulip , preteen Lilith , and Swampy .
Hey, at least we're getting a more traditional Green Goblin in cartoons again after the Ultimate version in Ultimate Spider-Man and Into the Spider-Verse and....whatever the hell that was in the 2017 series.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).A Golden Book called The Power Of Three will come out August 3.
This article about licensing merchandise gives us a few details.
1. Each episode will have 2 segments that are 11 minutes each (no surprise there).
2. The show is premiering this summer.
3. Atomic Cartoons is attached to this series. They've done some stuff for Disney like with various Lego Star Wars projects, and were one of the animation companies behind Legend Of The Three Caballeros. Outside of Disney, they also worked on various Lego Jurassic World projects and The Last Kids On Earth.

It also looks like the show will have guest heroes like Black Panther showing up.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).This article from Italy mentions the show premiering there on Disney Plus on July 16. Maybe the US will release the show around the same time.
While we don't have the visuals yet, we do have a theme song for the series. It's sung by Patrick Stump.
Pretty catchy! It's been a while since we've had lyrics to a Spider-Man theme, so this is a welcomed addition.
The last Spiderman show with a theme song was Spectacular Spiderman, which was 2008.
No, this is not a thread about Disney Junior airing Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends. This is a thread for Marvel's Spidey and His Amazing Friends, a new show set to air on Disney Junior in 2021.
From this article;
"The new animated series will be geared toward preschoolers and their families as Spidey and his friends will have to overcome obstacles and fight off the villains in order to save their neighborhood.
Everyone’s favorite web-master has gotten used to working alone, but that will soon change now that Peter Parker must realize what it takes to become a true super hero. Parker will team up with his friends Miles Morales and Gwen (Ghost-Spider) along with iconic heros such as Hulk, Ms. Marvel, and Black Panther in order to defeat evil-doers, soon realizing that teamwork is the best way to save the neighborhood (and the day, of course).
During the panel, Cort Lane, senior vice president, Marvel Animation & Family Entertainment said, “Preschool kids already love Spidey, so they’ll be delighted to have Peter Parker thwipping across their screens in this new series.”
“Everyone at Marvel is thrilled to launch our first preschool series on Disney Junior, the gold standard platform for the audience. We believe parents and kids will be excited about these stories filled with themes of friendship, cooperation, solving problems, and using your abilities to help others,” Lane continued.
Also speaking out during the panel was Joe D’Ambrosia, senior vice president, Original Programming and General Manager, Disney Junior. “We’re thrilled to be working with Marvel on this new series showcasing the exciting adventures of Spidey and his friends as they model the importance of teamwork and helping others in their community. This is the perfect series to introduce preschoolers to the super hero powers of friendship and working together to help others in need,” D’Ambrosia stated."
The character designs kinda reminds me of the Spider-Man and Friends toyline from 2003-2006, which...okay sure, I'll accept this as the cartoon for that that I've waiting for for so long.
I really like how Ghost-Spider looks here. Purple suits her really well.
I'll be honest, I'm looking forward to this.
