Fanfics You Like That Have Since Been Deleted

There was this Persona fanfic called The Marvelous Misadventures of Tsubasa-hime. It was an Original Flavor fic that followed a modern-day descendant of the Taira clan as she moves to Kyoto and found herself in that story’s Shadow world. It also took place at the same time as Persona 5, with one of that game’s events referenced at one point. I remember discussing it with a friend of mine years ago. The author never got around to completing it before she deleted it altogether.

It also has a tropes page, though I’m not sure if it should be deleted or moved to the Darth Wiki.

There was a Ruby-Spears Megaman fic on ff.net (forgot the title; something like "Switching Places") wherein Megaman and Protoman are forced to impersonate each other (not only are they portrayed as identical twins, but the fic had Protoman make use of the games' colour-changing); it alternated between the present-day segments and a flashback showing how the two got into this mess to begin with. Lots of good character stuff in both, but the author deleted it mid-flashback.

Anyone remember Beautiful Destroyer Sailor Moon? It was kind of a deconstructive affectionate parody of...well, guess; but I remember absolutely LOVING it back when it was on FF, but it just up and disappeared from the internet - if anyone can find an archived version I'd appreciate it.

There was a really good Hadestown fanfic on AO3 called 'if you will come all the way down with me' by katadesmoi and was about how Hades, Persephone, and the gods have reincarnated over time and watched as the abduction of Persephone changed forms to a consensual elopement. Privately, none of them are really sure Hades changed from the man he was millennia ago, and it was really deep and got really into the characters and I'm sad it's gone. :(

I noticed a lot of AO3 fanfics seem to be disappearing lately in the one or two fandoms i regularly check on there (more of a FFN person).

There was a Final Fantasy expy badfic-on-purpose in which the Original Female Character was named either a Japanese or a Latin word for genitals (it was a trope back in the day, a parody of a Mary Sue might be named Labia and the parody of the author will flame back feedback "Why is that a bad name? I think it's pretty.") I think this one parody of a badfic author meant to name the character the Japanese word for Wolf but misspelled it to something that meant something else.

The fic extended to a fictional comments section that contested the disregard for canon ("Canon game protagonist gets knocked out by a tak-tak for crying out loud that is the lowest-level random encounter"), the name misspelling, and other unsolicited criticisms that were considered constructive in 2003.

The parody badfic author shot back at a parody badfic commenter with "well then you should stop writing yaoi because that's not game canon either" because that's what online fandom was like twenty years ago.

I wish I could read it again to find out how badly the full text aged, or if some insights as to why are we like this? still relevant.

There was a creepy Ed Edd n Eddy fanfic called Eddward and a sequel called Johnny that was... Double D and Johnny were psychopaths interacting with Lovecraftian entities.

To this day I have no idea what happened and I wish I could reread it just to understand what was going on.

This sometimes happens, like stuff that one Gravity Falls fic where Stan twins were on multidimensional adventure because both fell into portal.

Then there are cases of "I didn't like this fic that much but I can't remember name of it so I can't check if its still on going or if it got deleted" where it bothers me that I can't check status of the fic even though I don't really like the fic that much to be bothered. (one fic like that was basically one piece fix/romance fic where SI/OC basically reincarnates as Luffy's childhood friend with knowledge of future)

So the guy who wrote The Prodigal Lincoln also wrote this other story where the Loud House kids has to survive together after a major disaster (or something like that) hits Royal Woods, with their parents missing and most likely dead. It got super fucked up at points like Lori killing Lola and attempting to feed her to the other members of the family. The guy deleted his ffn account at one point but then reinstated it, but never brought it back. If anyone else knows what I'm talking about and has a link to the story, please show me.
