First 10 minutes:
...It's Granbelm, not Granblem
Whoops sorry... How should I change the name then?
Also, may I make the page soon enough?
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."definitely hyped, the team did great on Re:Zero and i have a feeling they will deliver on this too

Won't gonna lie that I made a mistake on the forum name. Anyways, since I caught up with the anime. Time to make this thread more lively:
Episode 1:
The story of Granbelm involves Cute Girls and Mecha with Fantasy genre. In reality, Granbelm is actually a tournament that was set during full moon between mages who tried to get a magical power that was sealed by the ancient mages. Why you may ask? It's because of humanity selfishness on using magic and yeah, seems that the tournament involves several mages across parallel worlds I guess. The story focuses on Mangetsu, a regular girl who ended up getting involved with several shenanigans in the fantasy world and ended up having a mecha of her own and we also have Black Ninja Emilia, Shingetsu, who fights against the girl that nearly looks like Elsa Granhiert, Anna Fugo, and her cronies. So yeah...
Anyways, first impression: The anime seems fun tbh. While not the most original like Fire Force and we already have a Fantasy Mecha anime with Knights & Magic before, I'm hooked with Granbelm right now and I will keep watching this show. Also, several of the character designs look like several people from Re:Zero which is no surprising as this show is made by the team who made Re:Zero so yeah...
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Anyone whose heart-mecha is named "White Lily" is clearly a woman of culture
Fight for something, even if its meaningless. It was… okay I guess? The lore is intriguing enough to keep my attention, but the action was confusing at times and the characters are a bit generic. But at least you can say the episode wastes no time cutting to the chase.
Also, "Mangetsu" is a weirdly cool name to give to the Cute Clumsy Girl.

Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo. You have a point though... Would be interesting if pieces are getting united together in later episodes...
Which reminds me. How many episodes for this anime again?
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Granbelm episode 2:
that redheaded girl keeps reminding me about Priscilla (Re:Zero), while i'm getting strong Madoka and Homura vibes from our M Cs. the black haired one also seems to have some trauma she's hiding

I got Momo and Yuki flashbacks from Release the Spyce all over again thanks to Mangetsu and Shingetsu. But man, Mangetsu is pure and does hide her true loneliness because she doesn't have anything. That's why she wants to wield the magical power. In the meantime, Shingetsu does struggle a bit while adapting in Japanese environment which is funny. Some infodump regarding mages and Granbelm because why not. However, seems that Anna had a huge resentment towards Shingetsu. Wonder why?
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Yeah… even if she comes from Germany, I'm pretty sure a tiny pink backpack isn't worn by highschoolers anywhere in the world.
Now here's to hope everyone survives the third episode with their head still attached.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.First episode was a bunch of explosions without much meat to it, but the second made up for it with some actual character work. Mangetsu's darker take on I Just Want to Be Special actually made her interesting. Might be hope for this show.

The Anna/Shingetsu family dynamics are a bit ambiguous as to who exactly is in the wrong. I'm sorta biased against Anna though because of how irrational she seems and the fact Shingetsu is a sort of protagonist right now. It's probably not either's fault though
"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome Rob3. Shingetsu sure is good at worming her way into people's hearts, even if not for malicious purposes. Anna might be the crazy one, but white-haired girl is clearly the creepy one. Much easier to follow what is actually happening this time. Still solid all around.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.Well… Anna seems to be the only one who has a problem with Shingetsu, so it's hard to take her side… She acts like a big sis who's jealous the little sis has "stolen" the attention of her parents…
We're starting to get a more concrete picture of the cast, although I had a few "who the hell are you?" (notably with the piano girl). I still find the fights a little confusing, but this episode had a good balance of characterization and action (while the first episode was all action and the second was all character).
I don't know if it was explained and I missed it, but… can the participants actually die during the battle?
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Granbelm episode 3:
this episode was pretty much about building up the supporting cast's backstory and motivations, i feel like we're in for a dark twist next episode
Bumbleby is best ship. busy spending time on r/RWBY and r/anime. Unapologetic SocialistEpisode 3:
Yea...Anna does truly have a grudge towards Shingetsu and its about family issues though I'm not sure what happened in the past. Meanwhile, two new characters ahoy! One of them is a tsundere-ish classmate of Mangetsu's sister and one of them is mysterious white-haired girl who loves her older sister. And seems that Mangetsu attempts to master the mecha and yeah, Anna is Ax-Crazy during the battlefield.
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Ya know, the competitors are surprisingly restrained for a Battle Royal among magical girls with some crazy stuff as the prize. It sounds like it's going for several months now, yet there's no mention of someone just up and shanking someone outside of the pocket dimension.
I wonder how long that's gonna last.

my guess, either to the halfway point or the last third

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman4. Freaking campers. Always the most annoying to deal with. Kind of feels like Nene was being manipulated by her mother to participate, but we'll see. Mangetsu's group is now the biggest size. Should be a nice advantage until Nene falls. Anna might be more dangerous if she could ever compose herself, but she's quickly becoming a joke with how fast she goes rargh. Suishou is lowkey the most dangerous one. Feels like she's holding back, and aside from the one that was knocked out she's received the least focus so far.

Since no one has made this thread yet. I'm going to start it and because this anime will be released on summer, it's understandable. Anyways, here's the summary of the anime courtesy of MAL:
"In a world that long ago featured the existence of magic, but has long since lost that ability. The story begins when the very normal high school student Mangetsu Kohinata meets Shingetsu Ernesta Fukami, who has migrated back to Japan from Germany, on a night with a full moon."
It's a little bit barebones I know. But I think the reason why I bring this up is because of the creator of Granblem is from the team who create Re:Zero. Anyone are hyped for this anime?
Here's the key visual for it
And here are several of the character designs of Granblem:
Also, the anime will be animated by Nexus. It's the same studio that animate Comic Girl and Chivalry of the Failed Knight so yep and the first 10 minutes of the first episode is apparently out but I won't gonna spoil it
