X – Above the Forest

X rolled his eyes when Perry threathened him as he left towards the airship.

What a brat. I wasn't able to give these noobs some serious injuries, but I did as I was ordered. I also managed to assimilate some of the mutts and some of that golem's matter. I feel like I'm becoming stronger every single minute. Nyhahahahahah...

Squad 4 – The Forest

Iuvem looked at X as he left.

This wasn't a proper villain attack, was it?, he slowly returned to his normal state.

The golem slowly approached Perry.    Yeah...When you came to assist me in the "battle" against that...entity, I saw that something within and outside you has changed...   , he commented, sounding a bit fatigued,    Namely, the peculiar weapon that you gained not that much time ago...   , he pointed a clawed finger at the Geistcutter.

You might know everything I'm going to do...but that's not going to help you, since I KNOW EVERYTHING YOU'RE GOING TO DO! STRANGE, ISN'T IT?

The Forest — Too Little, Too Late

Just as the last of the baddies left the area, a large stem suddenly shot up from the ground below. It twisted and turned, quickly growing and enlarging and extending until it resembled a tall and wispy human form, covered with leaves to preserve her modesty. As her form started to stabilize, a blue portal opened up from behind, with Bozo and the other teachers popping out en masse.

"Sorry for the delay," said Flora, "but someone was apparently dealing with a hangover."

Bozo scoffed. "Please. It was the mother of all hangovers. Quite literally at that. Even worse than the boose gremlins."

"Regardless, we came as soon as we could. Though it appears it's already over." She sighed as she surveyed the forest. Or what remained of it. "I suppose I'll be busy over the next few weeks. Though it still won't be the same." She turned to the students. "So. Does anyone mind telling me exactly what happened here? If only for posterity's sake."

Squad 3 – The Forest

Chibuzo stared at the sword his fellow undead had just unsteathed. He frowned. He didn't like this. At all.

"Van! What is your sword doing?", he called him, raising his voice a bit, annoyed. He was trying to float away from the sword, struggling a little.

He then noticed that the staff finally arrived. He turned his gaze towards them.

"We, thanks to Jumping Bean's magical pond, found some baddies beating up, mind controlling and killing some werewolves in this forest...", he explained to Flora, "Because of that, Ms. Alastor quickly went there, and so did we. We managed to fight off the villains, as almost all of them fled...", he saw, through the eyes of the insects that were in the area, that Nathanial was still here, "Oh, and the scientist beat the popstar newcomer to a bloody pulp! Literally!", he announced the fact in a uncomfortably jovial way, "And Van's evil-eating sword is so attention-hungry that it's trying to pull me and some of the others towards it...", he started listing, still being casual about it, "And the jester almost died, but he seems to be fine now...and the daeva is falling apart, by the way...", he concluded, still trying to get away from the sword's pull.

Squad 2 – The Forest

"Mavvie!", Animus Dante shouted, seeing the daeva's "physical form" fall apart. He then looked at the fire.

Is she dying...because of the fire? What can I do, what can I do?!, his eyes quickly shifted between the flames and Mahvash.

Flames. Mahvash.

Flames. Mahvash.

The wretched phenomenons. The dying body of the eldritch princess.

Dante closed his eyes, trying to focus. He raised a fist in the air. He then opened it. The flames in the area would start to slowly move towards Dante. They would stop above his palm and fuse in a small flame, restrained by Dante's psychokinesis.

Animus Dante would have then caught the compressed flame with his hand. He was keeping the flame at bay with his psychic powers, so that it wouldn't burn his hands. He waited for a while, until he didn't feel the heat of the flame anymore. Dante smirked: the flame run out of oxygen to burn. He opened his hand. Only some smoke came out...

You might know everything I'm going to do...but that's not going to help you, since I KNOW EVERYTHING YOU'RE GOING TO DO! STRANGE, ISN'T IT?

Perry (4)

"Curses that Anton put on me broke," Perry explained. "Grim Reaper came to give me his blessing. Anton is proud pure-blood magician, killed my father because he married mom who was normal human and he was liked by ghosts. Took his place, took his face...threw me out once he get bored of playing with me..." Perry's voice choked with anger and sadness.

"This Geistcutter. Kills angry ghosts, evil ghosts. Kills just evil too. Papa named it that. My inheritance," she said, a little unhappily. "Is I still cute, now that I be fixed?" she asked her classmates.

Salutations.    greeted Geistcutter.    All of you. Even you, Vampire, and you, Lich.    The sword seemed to be standoffish about Van and Chibuzo, but seemed to be willing to let that slide because they were Perry's classmates.

At least, that was the feeling it projected.

"Understood"' Sorano said "But Ryuu isn't the one you are talking to"

Removing the air from the flames was a simple duty for him, but there was some blood falling from Ryuu's head.

"The boy needs some assistance, I can move him around, but isn't something that can last"

With that, Sorano fell forward, as Ryuu was completely out cold.

Wake me up at your own risk.

Squad 2(The Iridium Wonders) - Forest (Sally, VS Nathanial)
Upon realizing just how much of a shit show he was in given his back up left, supers were present, he was injured and now handcuffs were being thrown at him, Nathanial dodged the handcuffs and realized his "ride" was here through a portal sent to him.

"This won't be the end. Next time, you won't get away."    Nathanial says, pointing to Sally before he retreated into the portal.

Sally looked around as everything continued to go to hell despite the villains leaving. Both Ryuu and Mahvash were in horrible shape. She ran over to Ryuu to try help him.

"Teachers? Is there anything you can do for Ryuu and Mahvash?" She was on the verge of tears due to the stress.

Squad 3 - Forest (Finn)
Finn stuck his sword in the ground to prevent being drawn to Van's sword. He was already feeling dazed due to the fight that it all felt like a blur.

"Hey! Can you tell your sword to knock it off or something? He says.

"Hey, teaches! Need any help I would be glad to oblige!" He says, emphatic about it.

Van - Squad 3

When he heard their reactions to the Sword of Tear, Van promptly sheathed the sword, looking for all the world an exhausted man after that display - breathing ragged, long breaths, catching himself before he fell one way or another. Van shook his head and said, "...Sorry, everyone."

The Sword of Tear went quiet when it was placed within its sheath.

Its yearning was a memory that Van would recall whenever he would go to take the sword from its sheath in the future.

Shane - Squad 1

Immediately relieved to see the teachers arriving, he repressed an immediate reaction that this was once again too little too late - the bad guys came, slaughtered, and burned the place.

And what was more, many of them seemed incredibly personal with members of the Squads - he recalled seeing how Perry reacted, and what in all happened with Mason and Amalg—-that brought up memories again of Jae, Amalgamate, and Wren.

"Well, a bunch of supervillains showed up to attack the forest. Perry's asshole dad, a-a creepy guy who turned into sand and magma, a huge gold and black robot that shot fire, a golem of some kind..." Shane wished his descriptions could be more helpful.

He thought about it for a moment and decided it was better safe than sorry. Whispering to the teachers, he said, "I-I think...we need to talk about Wren..."

Iridium Wonders - The Forest

"..." ... "Ryuu. Tend to Ryuu and his passenger," She punctuated this by half-belching, half-retching black something that vanished along with a sizable chunk of air and the local space. "You did bring Hello's saliva, yes?" She added, ignoring that hiccup.

"And info..." She landed, dropping spiraling down. Grace was not out of the question at the moment. Did not stopped lumps of half-spiders and at least one sticky, headless, vaguely gecko-shaped curdle from inching across her surface.

"I only got Xenocide's nickname; though his real name will come up in time given all his public deeds." She made an image, well unmade a void in roughly Xeno's shape before waving it off. "Very public type and couldn't wait to boast. He'll out the rest of the group in time." Well, that and Our little Perry scored an internship with psychopomps. Though they don't need to know that unless she outs it.

She made... a sound and hovered, letting her hair snake over her face and abandoning talking in favor of messaging.    Ryuu lives Sally. If they lack equipment, we'll take him straight to the nurse. For now though, EG can help with his wounds.

Sorcery Class, December 13th 2019

It had been two weeks since the attack on the forest. While many of the werewolves survived thanks to their impressive regenerative capabilities, others weren't so lucky. At least one-fifth of the pack lay dead on the forest floor, and the howls of those who survived were heard throughout the entire campus. But while some wolves were stricken with grief, others were filled with anger and fury, convinced that none of this would have happened if they had ran off ages ago when they had the chance. Orthus was able to quell any disagreements or flashes of anger, but there was no telling how long he could keep it up.

Nor were the teachers sure how long they could keep it a secret. They had done their best to keep the news of the attack from getting out into the public, but rumors have a way of spreading. By the second week, reports of an entire pack of werewolves nearly getting slaughtered had just started to become more widespread, and it was only a matter of time before they made it to the networks. Though for now, it wasn't anything to get too worried over.

Indeed, the entire class had more pressing concerns on their minds. Today they were scheduled for Sorcery with Professor Bozo, though the good Professor was nowhere to be found. The classroom was a mess, filled with empty cans of booze and bottles of whiskey strewn about over open manuscripts and scratched up pentagrams. Tattered drapes barely kept the sun out, and the desks were toppled over like a whirlwind had hit. While one might think that someone had staged an attack of some sort, the sheer stench of alcohol in conjunction with the Professor's particular habits was enough to quash that theory. The only thing that remained was for the teacher to show himself. As well as possibly tidy the place up a bit.

New Student Cole - Squad 4

"You know there's something that's hidden within When you close your eyes, you can't help but to think Tell you the truth, I don't know what to say But, we have no home… no real place to stay..."

Cole was rather displeased with the fact that his MP 3 player was basically destroyed in his last jump, and insofar he'd been unable to find an affordable replacement. Similar models were apparently fashionably retro, and so came at heavy price tags.

At least this meant he'd get in practice singing.

And then imagine Cole's surprise when he saw this place and heard good stories about it. He remembered in his old world seeing legions of students, lined up orderly - line by line - and saluting Alpha-Leunis.

This looked like it'd be his first class this year.

And at a university no less.

He halted his song as he entered the classroom and looked around. He was assigned what - to Squad...4...? Yeah, that was it.

He noted this seemed to be a pretty nicely upscale place with a few exceptions, which only made Cole's...ah, sense of fashion stand out more.

Cole started looking for a place to sit - were Squads seated by each other?

Even though Cole had been in this one for longer than usual, he still wound up feeling tremendously out of place.

JB (3)

Jumping Bean was not happy.

She was not happy indeed.

There was the fact that she was not able to assist in defending the campus, and then there was the fact that she had chosen to hide away while everything was going on.

Exactly like Heaven.

She clenched a fist. Whatever new magics were being taught today, she would learn with all her heart! No more of this was to transpire.

No more.

Jumping Bean closed her eyes and let the magical residue in Dr. Bozo's room comfort her. Even though they were from foreign magics, they still felt like home.

Perry (4)

Perry was reasonably well-rested, and she'd taken the time to guide her deceased adoptive pack members at least part of the way through the Other Side before other Reapers took over so she didn't feel that sad.

She was wearing the Garb of the Phantasmal Acolyte and both the Wendigo skull Mask and the Lamp were hanging from a belt on her waist. Geistcutter was a bone hairpin again and was stuck in her neat hair bun.

She went to nose at one of Cole's hands. "New guy is scared. No be scared. We all be friends here, happy. My name is Peregrine Alastor. Who you, new guy?" she said gently, pushing her head under his hand to ask for scritches. "I help ghosts!" Perry added, to help explain her own identity more.

Squad 1 - Mason - Dorm room

They say inspiration struck at the strangest of times. Whether you liked it or not. You couldn’t force it, it was a simple fact that existed, that it needed to come to you.

So naturally, Mason didn’t get the chance to sleep because he had too much to do.

The moment that he got back to his dorm room, Mason set to work about preparing for his next grand work: the Earth Digichip. This, however, would prove to be incredibly, incredibly difficult to establish. See, the fire, lightning and ice chips were easy. They could create said element by simply getting the right chemical reactions in the air with the proper timing. Easy to make fight, a spark for lightning and freezing the air with ice.

It was hard to create dirt and rock from nothing.

So, he spent almost all that night writing on the notepads. And the whiteboard...and the walls around the dorm.

And nothing. Would. Fucking. CLICK.

The walls were marked in markers and pens like the ravings of a mad man. Ramblings is”dust”, “SAND????” “MUD?????????” In increasingly erratic etchings.

Even his music wasn’t working.

It was that serious.

Chewing through the 8th pen of that night, he reached over as Rosa, his little robot assistant, one of four, handed him a cup of coffee, which he chugged despite it being hot as the hells of the abyss.

“There has to be something here.” He mumbled exhaustedly. “Something...something I’m missing.”

He looked to the side, at the clock on the wall.

“Like the fact I’m late for class.”

...

“Fuck.”

Is it selfish that I'm happy as we pass the setting sun?

Shane - Squad 1

Shane sat with Squad 1, observing the students coming in - he'd heard that Jae was not gonna be coming back, and honestly? It was difficult to feel much satisfaction in it and that was honestly probably right. Jae had gotten basically eviscerated, and so Shane didn't blame him for going home.

Aside from the new guy who seemed to be everything wrong with 2004-2005 fashion...hm, could be the school was looking to bring in more new blood.

He had to wonder how wise it was. The villains were dialing everything up.

Cole - Squad 4

Just looking at this girl gave Cole some rather unpleasant flashbacks. With the Wendigo Skull Mask even seeming to be chosen just to heighten those memories. He basically stood there, frozen for a moment with Perry nuzzling at him. He stared off into the distance.

The sound of ZO-95 Magitek Rifle shots pierced through the wailing of the winds and the fall of snow as Cole fired at the monstrous, jagged mouthed monstrosity. His quickened breaths formed icy mist before his mouth—-

''The creature ambled back with each shot, gamboling around and emitting a hoarse growling noise.

"C-Cole..."

The battered figure of long time ally Rosan laid on the floor - half of his upper arm leaked blood and bone marrow on to the floor. The creature had taken him by surprise and chewed and chewed and slurped and—-

Just thinking about it made Cole's eyes flare with power and warm his immediate area, the snow beneath him starting to melt despite the freezing temperature.

"Y-You've...gotta leave me, Cole. I—-I'm...I'm...g-guh...of no guh-good use to you like this..."

"Don't talk nonsense!!"

And then the creature was on him, it lunged with mouth full of needle-like teeth yearning for the sweet, warm blood to gush from the throat. Cole grimaced as his power flared up.

Burning hot. The need to remorselessly cast. Not a moment's doubt. Doubt was the killer of determination and willpower.

Mere inches away. Death awaited him if he didn't act. And then a bright flash of light.

The creature was not there any more, but as Cole saw a distant mountain suffer a great impact, he knew - this was not over. It wouldn't leave him alone, not until it could drag his carcass in front of Alpha-Leunis, and then beg for handouts.

Cole was jarred back to his reality.

Hearing Perry talk was what convinced him of his choice. He almost let it flare up. That was quickly pushed down - she was different here. Not vile. Not hideous. Not a horrid predator.

He scratched at her head and smiled a little, "Glad to know I'm among friends. And who're you?" Even though he knew the answer.

Perry (4)

"Already told you, silly new guy! Peregrine Alastor. But friends call me Perry. We friends, so you call me Perry," she babbled, leaning into Cole's scritches.

"I help ghosts!" she repeated again, insistently. "Have lots of friends on the Other Side. Meet Rollo, Lucky, Pip, Buddy, Pancake—and Geistcutter! Say hi, Geistcutter!"

Hi. Geistcutter.    said the weapon drolly, vibrating and glowing white from its position as Perry's hairstick.    All jokes aside, I'm Geistcutter. I kill wraiths and great evils. Salutations, traveller.

The rest of Perry's friends lined themselves up in order of their introductions, looking not like their dead and rotting selves, but quite like when they were alive—healthy and lovely, friendly beasts.

"Now question is, who you, new guy?" Perry asked Cole, looking up at him curiously.

Iridium Wonders – Sorcery Class

Dante was pretty calm. However, this wasn't his usual smug and confident calmness. It was a sad and solemn calmness. But could he blamed for being sad? Especially after that attack: he got almost killed, Mr. Fuuji got injured and Mrs. Mattiuza almost died too...

At least, that villain was boisterous and chatty enough to reveal his name and most of their background.

I swear...when we'll finally manage to find you...I will have no mercy! Y-You'll better watch out X-Xe-Xenocide!

Ok, ok...maybe he's still a bit fearful about that group of villains...

Uh...Good morning, Class 1!   , he greeted the others, the delivery being a bit awkward,    Oh...and good morning to you...Mr. Streiss   , he waved at Cole.

There was one last new detail that Dante didn't have a month ago: his mask arsenal. In his mask belt, nome of his old masks can be seen. There are, instead, five new masks with peculiar designs.

Squad 3 – Sorcery Class

If for possibly everyone, the villain attack was either a fiasco or something traumatizing, then for Chibuzo, it was a delicious piece of cake. The villain they fought was an amusing joke. They managed to keep the brainwashed werewolves at bay. The little arrogant punk thought they were weak. But if Chibuzo revealed the very pinnacle of his powers. Him and most of Class 1 would be...amazed and possibly horrified, to say the least.

When he arrived, he sat next to his squadmates.

He noticed that a newcomer was talking to Mrs. Alastor, who had some new gear and she also got her talking weapon (that "openly" expressed its disdain of the undead, even though it didn't stop him from formally introduce himself to it) wrapped around her hair...a weird use for that weapon, but it's creative nonetheless...

Squad 4 – Sorcery Class

Who was that man...the reptilian man? He seemed like he knew me. Was he one of ETHEL's enemies, who found out about me and joined a group of vile villains to attack us?

Iuvem was pretty puzzled. But he then stopped being thoughtful until, he noticed the newbie.

She's the sweet Perry Alastor...   , Iuvem's voice could be heard as he approached,    My name is Iuvem Dias, but just call me either Iuvem or...Jupiter, since I am, well, the planet Jupiter itself...   , he extended a hand at Cole with a friendly simile, wanting to initiate a handshake with him.

Squad 4 - Cole Streiss

Well, this was just gettin' better and better.

More people, Cole thought, that he knew - nothing could really stop him from finding this all low key uncanny. But then, he supposed, that was part of traversing worlds. You run into the same people occasionally, and you just have to smile, shake hands and move on without making it too awkward.

Which I am TREMENDOUSLY failing at.

He finally shook Iuvem's hand with a growing smile, and replied, "Name's Cole Streiss, I was told I'd be heading off with Squad 4 going forward so..." Cole then rubbed his head and looked at Perry's sword, "And I believe the sword just talked. Ain't that just peachy?" He rubbed his forehead and chuckled.

Evelyn –  Sorcery Class

“Get used to that.”

Apparently Evelyn finally saw herself fit to speak. Regardless of her improvements, the albino still seemed to be shy around new people. Still, she managed to smile and nod to Cole, happy to see a new face in their squad even if she found it difficult to do much more than whisper in greeting.

“We're all a little weird here. I'm...” she paused for a moment, glancing at her classmates for a moment and clearing her throat, “...Evelyn. Nice to meet you, Cole.”

Strange... she thought to herself—briefly opening her Third Eye to look him over before letting it retreat again. There's something about him that feels... off...

Wren – Sorcery Class

Puff.

“Uggghhh. Smell funny,” Wren whined almost as soon as she manifested, coughing slightly and glancing around at the discarded bottles of booze on the floor. “Why drink smelly? Stupid id-ea. Need better powers. Wren be sad if had to drink smelly to puff.”

If anything, Wren's voice had become clearer. There was less croak to it; less gravel and less whisper to her tone. Her grammar still needed work, apparently—but exactly how much of that was her being stubborn was unsure. It was notable that her natural voice sounded much lower in pitch that her behaviour would suggest.

Though having a biologically 19 year old's body would tip people off to that anyway.

“Neeew smell. Apart from smelly. Have to ficus. F... Focus,” she grumbled, correcting herself with what seemed to be a hint of reluctance. “Neeew people. Yes.”

She trained her head towards the door suddenly, so it was unlikely that she was referring to Cole himself. It admittedly took a couple minutes longer than the teleporting harpy had expected, but sure enough the door to the classroom began to open.

Lily – Sorcery Class

Lily wasn't sure what she was expecting when she got signed up to this place. Perhaps a more clinical, organized setup that she was used to. But as soon as she crossed the threshold into Bozo's classroom, she visibly winced. Admittedly, she probably should have noticed the warning signs. Like the sheer variety of outfits and personalities in the halls. For the first time, it made her feel strangely out of place.

Gathering herself and quietly clearing her throat, she made to take a seat where she assumed her assign squad was. At least, based on the list and descriptions she'd been given. She ignored the feathered one's stare. The list hadn't specified that she'd be naked.

She felt rather shaky with nerves already, but she managed to reach out and lightly tap the arm of one of her assumed squadmates. A rather quiet, yet also strangely refined voice rang out from her throat—light as a breeze and mildly laced with what seemed to be anxiety.

“E-excuse me. Is this Squad 1?”

Squad 1 - Mason

“This is stupid. I shouldn’t be doing this.” Mason mumbled to himself as he finished with his morning routine, cut down to 1/16th of his time due to his own gross incompetence. Combing his hair from his eyes, he grabbed the lightning chip and slipped it in.

He twisted the switch down, and arcs of lightning raced up his arm.

“Henshin-a-“ He Bit back a loud yawn, holding his fist over his mouth. Once that was done, he shook his head and flipped the switch again. “-go-go baby.”

His body covered in lightning and then his armor, he felt the arcs racing off him and thankfully not hurting anything valuable in the room. He raced to the door and opened it, very quietly, and closed it, just as much so.

He didn’t wanna bother Tyulla more than he had after all.

So, now out in the hall, he flipped the switch.

“Once for amplification. Twice for movement. Thrice for the finisher.” He mumbled to himself.

He flipped it once, then twice. His whole body alight with sparks, he dashed down the hall to the next class in a bolt and flash of light.

The Class

He was exceedingly grateful someone left the door open. It gave him time to at the very least come to a grander screeching halt than that. Well, he didn’t explode the door at the bare minimum. So, his entrance into the room was grand if not...well, loud.

He stopped mere inches from making a mason shaped hole in the wall.

“Sorry, Sorry. Didn’t realize how late it was.” He spoke to the rest of the class assuming they even bothered to care.

He reached into his duffel and pulled out a tape recorder, this one marked with an 18. “Note to self, work on better stopping procedures for the lightning chip.”

He approached the familiar and one notable unfamiliar face of his squad and held one hand up while the other brushed the exhaustion from his eyes.

“Hey, all.” He mumbled. “I miss anything?”

Squad 3

When Martin first walked into the room he couldn't decide if he wanted to rip the door off its hinges or dropkick every bottle of alcohol on campus until there wasn't a drop left. While he had no issues with drinking in general the level of booze consumed in the university exceeded any sort of natural level. "One classroom that doesn't look like a frat party happened the night before," he walked forward and began to clean the room, picking up desks and bottles from the floor with a trashbag he usually kept reserved for the times he could pick up litter through some of the worse off neighborhoods. Given the protests and interview requests lately he hadn't had as much time, so it was sheer luck he had one on him.

"I think," he began carefully. "That maybe we should talk to our teachers about the level of drinking that goes on around here. Hold an intervention or something. Because this can't be healthy," having cleaned most of the mess he put the bag next to the door and turned over his desk to sit in it, head in his hands and letting out a soft sigh. Magic was always something he had found difficult to deal with or wrap his head around, so this was already not starting up as a good day.

Squad 4

Clay entered the classroom and let out a long whistle as he looked around. "Well shoot me dry if this ain't a scene from the past," blackout bar brawls with a gang led by an immortal lich often ended up looking something like this room. Only difference was that when everything was through they set the place on fire to prevent it from happening again. Something told him that summoning his gun and torching the place wasn't an option, so he carefully stepped around any damage to get closer to his team. "Well shoot, been a minute since we've had a new member join our little posse, name's Clay, before you ask it ain't a bit, I'm from the past and thus am the only one in the team allowed to wear denim and look this good in it," he tipped his hat and laughed, seemingly in good spirits.

When he walked by Evelyn he slipped a note into her hand in a discrete way. Not that he could exactly hide much from the team when they were looking, but then again he didn't care if people saw him doing so, just that the message was of a more private sort.

Need to talk to you in private later.

Squad 4 - Cole / 99

Yeah, Cole thought when Evelyn walked in and said that everyone here was a little weird, I feel right at home. When Evelyn introduced herself to him and Clay did likewise Cole decided to get right to it as well, "My name's Cole Streiss, nice to meet everybody here - least we can all be kinda weird together..." And now his senses were telling him there was something familiarly off about Evelyn. Could it be?

It had been quite a long while, since those people in that big old town at least. And Cole always enjoyed having company. He still missed the friends he made along the way in his original world, but you can't just wallow in the past.

That was what Cole learned by virtue of being a world-traveler.

"So Evelyn, I am just guessing you're a psychic too?" He gave a winning smirk, and then brought his hands together in front of him.

Bringing forth his powers was always a bit of a trying circumstance. Either it'd barely trickle out, or he'd be faced with a tremendous, world-shaping force. And it seemed today it started with the latter; promising...

As Cole spread his hands out, it looked like incredibly intense golden energy was forming between his hands, being consciously shaped by the force of Cole's mind. Gathered from high and low, far and wide. Energies being shaped into hard light by his power.

Forming what looked like an intricately made, crystalline rose, held in his right hand. The rose gleamed in the light - every dimension correct. And due to the expression of Cole's power, there were dimensions contained within the rose that didn't usually show up.

"And what you just witnessed was shaping ambient energies into a crystalline physical form. For you, Evelyn~" With a bow he made to hand the crystalline rose to Evelyn.

Evelyn –  Sorcery Class

“...O-Oh.”

Evelyn discreetly pocketed the note Clay gave her after briefly looking it over, a flicker of anxiety having crossed her face before being suppressed as the newcomer performed an (admittedly impressive) display of psychic power. Letting her Third Eye reopen, she carefully accepted the crystalline flower—allowing her psychic vision to permeate through it from every conceivable angle.

“...It's beautiful...” she murmured absently, before smiling up at him and nodding. “Thank you.”

Deciding to display her own abilities, she moved to sit down then; mainly because it was easier to concentrate that way. With the flower being gently placed onto her desk, she focused on it with the fullest extent of her Third Eye's power—grunting with effort as it shifted into its second stage of development with an accompanying pulse.

Dust particles rose up from both the desk and the floor around her as the flower followed suit as well; a mild distortion similar to that of a heat haze visible around it. She caused it to twirl with a careful nudge of mental force, and let it spin at a gradually increasing rate before slowing it down and shifting her attention to her desk drawer.

It trembled slightly, then dragged open. The flower too shuddered—her psychic grip on it momentarily weakened as she split her focus—before slowly lowering down into the drawer, delicately landing inside it as she pushed it shut again.

“Maybe I can learn how to do that someday...” she muttered to herself as her Eye retreated back again; blinking rapidly as she allowed her eyes to readjust to conventional vision. “I'm still learning... my powers were originally supposed to be utilitarian...”

She was expanding their capabilities slowly, but one power in particular she wished she could have right now was telepathy. If only so she could know what Clay was thinking half the time. It bothered her. Especially now.

But she'd keep patient.

Squad 4 – Sorcery Class

Iuvem stared at the psychokinesis "contest".

It has left him speechless. While he thinks he could have done something similiar with his gravity manipulation abilities, he doesn't believe the result would be as amazing and beautiful as Mr. Streiss' one.

He started clapping his hands, making a calm, yet strong enough to be heard, applause.

What an interesting display of telekinetic abilities...   , he made a wholesome smile,    ...Can't say I'm not impressed...

This Cole fellow seemed to be a gentleman, wasn't he?

You might know everything I'm going to do...but that's not going to help you, since I KNOW EVERYTHING YOU'RE GOING TO DO! STRANGE, ISN'T IT?

Squad 1

It was a rough few days, making sure that things didn't get too out of control, but there was some exhaustion that doesn't leave, rage and sorrow may stay, but the lack of anyone to take it out on, makes him feel like he didn't know what to do.

So, naturally, when one is like that, the only thing to do for Sam was to keep himself busy. So, with that in mind, he messed with his music (even if playing the sax for so long is kind of heavy on the lungs, but he is improving) and pulled some dangerous rescues when he needed to. Not to mention the schoolwork and taking care of Sheldon (the little gift to the Hirshbaums seemed well liked enough too), but at least, he has things ready for when anyone tries something again.

So, entering class followed by a litter of ice cats, he waved at the class.

Turning to the new girl, he shrugged before extending a hand.

"You must be new, welcome to chaos" He said, calmly "I am Samuel, but everyone calls me Sam, nice to meet you" While petting one of the cats.

Well, that's something to do.

Iridium Wonders

Overall, beyond the scare of nearly dying, something he extensively apologized to Sally for, and freaking out over someone else taking control, Ryuu didn't remember much of the last few weeks. It's kind of a blur, and that day wasn't too clear on him, but that must have been for the blow to the head. But he could use his fingers now, so not everything was bad.

"Nice to see you so upbeat"

"Don't bother, Sorano" He said "Warn me before pulling that"

"It's either that, or getting toasted, don't complain if I keep you alive"

"You could do this all this time?"

"Of course, I live here"

"Unbelievable"

Ryuu's entrance was a bit noisy, as he got ready for class.

There is a lot that he has to do, and if nothing else, he'll try to make the others smile before the end of the day.

Wake me up at your own risk.

Sorcery Class - Squad 1

Before Lily could accept the handshake, she would find herself hugged from behind by a pair of inhumanly strong arms.

Ellie - like Mikael - was in her human form at the moment, so she wasn't quite tall enough to cradle the girl like a child, but she was still towering, easily a foot taller and far more buxom than the smaller girl.

"And I'm Ellie. Welcome to Squad 1!" She giggled. Then she turned to Mason. "Nice lightning moves, Mason. You ever need tips on using that electric power, lemme know, k?"

She winked at him.

Sorcery Class - Squad 3

He hadn't told Ellie. It hadn't come up in conversation, and it didn't change his love for her, so he didn't want to worry her.

In fact, he hadn't told anyone what Renegade had taken. He'd forced himself to act natural, and, for the most part, was able to shove his internal struggles aside and focus. But always the thought nagged at him. Reminded him of what he'd lost.

He couldn't remember the first time he and Ellie had made love.

It has been what brought them together - a single, wild day of passion. Stupid, probably, but he didn't regret it for the world. And now that memory was gone, replaced by Renegade's laughing face.

Mikael steeled himself with resolve. He would not allow the villain to go unpunished. With such power over the mind, no prison could be trusted to hold the villain, Mikael reasoned. Therefore...

The next time they met, Renegade would die.

Outwardly, Mikael smiled bemusedly and helped Martin pick up some of the empty bottles.

"To be fair, I think he can use magic to negate all the side effects and shit. Like keeping his liver from failing. Oh, hey, still some booze in this one." Mikael slugged the rest of the whiskey, before setting the now-empty bottle on the teacher's desk. "Eh. Pretty weak. Though it'd be decently strong to a human, I guess."

Mikael gave the dirty room another look and frowned. "Actually, you'd think he could just use his goddamn magic to organize the place. Or to keep himself sober when he needs to be. Or as a hangover cure." Mikael narrowed his eyes and muttered: "Note to self, see if there's a spell that cures hangovers."

What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget?

Squad 2 (The Iridium Wonders) - Classroom (Sally)
Upon entering the classroom and looking around, she decided to start helping out with cleaning the place by picking up the alchohol containers. Over the time between this and the attack were fine. Her main concern was that the rest of the Wonders were okay and thankfully they were. She told Ryuu that he didn't need apologize to her and that she was just glad that he was okay. The cut on her cheek was healed but, she questioned who that man and the armored person were. Mainly, why did that man attack her like that? Regardless, she cheerfully greeted her classmates as they entered.

Squad 3 - Classroom (Finn)
Meanwhile, Finn sat by the wall, with holding his knees somewhat close to his chest. He had a few visible marks on his arms from training extensively. He kept training mostly throughout the time after the forest attack. He was trying to keep his cool but, definitely something seemed...off.

"I don't want to lose another fight...I don't want us to fail again...I don't want to be useless...Why can't I be as good as the rest of my squad...You're such a shit hero!"

"Shut up!" Realizing he just shouted to himself, he tried to quickly calm down."Sorry, it's nothing to worry about. Just thought of a thing." He went back to original position.

"I need to do something. I can't give up. I don't want to give up. I still want to be a hero. What do I do? Maybe I should see Laurie again afterwards."
