"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."This looks interesting, I am keeping my eye on this.
@Wispy Late reply but welcome. :) Snacks on the left
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Late but Fairy Gone will have 24 episodes.
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."The director of Grimgar is involved, you say? I was already going to check this out, but now I... am going to check it out even more, I guess.
It's been fun.@Red Savant Well... Its more like the author of Grimgar who made the script and the director of Drifters who will direct this anime but you'll get the idea
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Another PV I guess. Comedic version

"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."New PV again and it looks great :P
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Went looking for some new anime to watch. Picked this one because it stood out on the list of paint-by-numbers covers of other new first episodes.
I like the style of the setting and the art style in general. Especially the character designs of protagonists. The fairies looked interesting too. The 3d might be a problem later on, but wasn't atrocious so far.
Can't judge the plot just yet. We'll see how it goes.
Looks promising so far.
“You can’t be an important and life-changing presence for some people without also being a joke and embarrassment to others.” -Mark Manson.Well, I'm back and just recently watch the first episode:
Okay, so we have two girls named Veronica and Marlya who got separated from their village because someone burned it during the big war and then Veronica joined the enemy side while Marlya joined the mafia in order to know the whereabouts of Veronica. Marlya then met with a man named Free and both of them are guarding an auction for reason and unsurprisingly, Veronica then tries to target the rare object that was auctioned and as a result, both of them are fighting with supernatural creatures known as Fairies (It's like Stand in JJBA) and Marlya was initially overjoyed to see Veronica but unsurprisingly, Veronica didn't want to see Marlya again for reasons and it was revealed that Veronica herself is an illegal fairy user and Marlya ended up becoming one after a contact with a fairy. Also, it was revealed that Free is a member of a group that hunts illegal fairy users named Dorothea and gives Marlya a choice: Join or be arrested. Marlya chooses to join and the adventure continues.
Yeah, that's the story as a whole if I remember. For the first episode? The positive thing I can say is the production values were decent, I quite like the opening and the animation seems fine although the CGI itself isn't that spectacular. Veronica is a badass too. But the issue that I have is the story feels all over the place (See the summary that I told above) and seems to do nothing standout at all and almost reminds me of Tenrou Sirius the Jaeger. Granted nothing is original but come on. Hopefully in the next episodes, the anime improves considerably but I need to keep my expectations low a little bit.
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."i liked the first episode quite a lot, it's basically a post-war urban fantasy political crime drama with Stands. i'm definitely interested in seeing where this goes during the season
Bumbleby is best ship. busy spending time on r/RWBY and r/anime. Unapologetic Socialist@MAB Fan 11 Wont gonna lie that the story could have some room to improve and considered this is the first episode, I can understand why its rather uninspired and all over the place. We'll see for the next episode. Who knows the anime will become another Kemurikusa (Started off badly but as the time goes, it gets better at the end)
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."I liked the first episode. It reminded me a bit of 91 Days with Karlya's motivation to join the Mafia oddly enough. It wasn't really good or groundbreaking story for the first episode but it set the stage decently enough that I can see this going good places and I have seen far far worse first episodes. My only issue is with the CGI but considering how I watched Tiger and Bunny which was still a really good anime despite its rather jarring CGI I'll tolerate it. The artstyle is pretty good considering how many cookie cutter boring anime art I see nowadays, reminds me a bit of Attack on Titan (the voice actors also sound very similar if not the same), and the soundtrack so far sounds good.
One thing I do find funny though is Free and Veronica's fairies straight up look like bosses out of Bloodborne to me. I am not sure if that was intentional.

91 days meets JOJO. Or persona.
Episode 2:
i liked this episode, they're clearly setting up their backstories and character for later reveals that will show why the characters made the choices they made. the fight scene and music was great too

Bumbleby is best ship. busy spending time on r/RWBY and r/anime. Unapologetic SocialistEpisode 2:
Hmmmmm... So Free has an old comrade named Wolfram during the war and they are from a certain kingdom that I forgot its name. And unsurprisingly, Free joined the enemy side because why not and conspiring with other shady individuals on Fairy factories. Also, we are introduced to two new characters: Serge and Klara. Nothing ordinary for them here except they were partners of Marlya and Free but we'll gonna see their development soon in the future. Also, damn that truck with legs looks interesting!!! Oh yeah, that Wolfram guy seemingly had his wife and daughter died... Dunno why
Have to admit that I delayed watching this because from what I heard, the story is still all over the place which is rather true... The story feels rather confusing and doesn't have many answers. But since these are still two episode, I can excuse it. Hope story still develop and make it less confusing. Also, the music here is pretty great!
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Episode 3:
HOLY SHIT! what an episode!
we got 3 factions playing against each other, with a secret 4th one playing everyone. and Wolfran is soon gonna join in and create some more chaos too
on a side note, we now know how many fairy soldiers there are. 17, which is enough for everyone to appear in this anime's 24 episode run
Bumbleby is best ship. busy spending time on r/RWBY and r/anime. Unapologetic SocialistEpisode 3:
Well, at least we know what happened on why Wolfram joined the bad guys side. But there are a lot of exposition and plot points that were added like the tome colors and the black being the dangerous one, the factions fighting to get the tome, the people who wrote the tome and so on. Some of the new characters are introduced and NGL that one of the new character, Bitter Sweet, seems kind of badass.
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."This is probably the strongest of this season's bunch but I really cannot get over how odd the buttrock is in contrast to the rest of the fantastical but fairly muted setting
The first two episodes didn't really impress me, but it takes off a bit in episode 3.
The art direction is decent (wonky CG aside) and the soundtrack excellent (save for some jarring rock tracks, as pointed out), but man is this plot convoluted. There are so many characters, factions and information to compute that it's hard to follow at times.
It doesn't help that outside of Mariya, Vero and maybe Sweetie, none of the characters have really grabbed my attention.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Good timing, episode 4 is out… and it's probably my favorite so far. It's really well paced, with a great work on lighting and atmosphere. And Vero's Big Damn Heroes moment at the end. <3
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Episode 4:
Well, we have another flashback and this doesn't seem pretty bad. It fleshes a bit who Marlya is and Veronica isn't a bad of a person until her sudden change. And we have other characters to be introduced mainly the girl who's obsessed with fresh water and an artist. Man, the fight in catacombs sure is rather intense. Also, they got the Black Tome and it was revealed that there are some of them that are fake. Okay
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Episode 4:
unsurprisingly, they got hunted by the mafia for managing to steal the Black Fairy Tome page. we also got some background on Veronica and Marlya, but it was mostly just hints

Another anime made by P. A. Works and time to give this one a thread, I know it won't be the most popular thing ever but whatever. Anyways, here's the summary of the anime of course. Courtesy of MAL:
"Once upon a time, fairies were tools of war."
The story takes place in a world where fairies possess and dwell in animals, giving them mysterious abilities. By removing the organs of a possessed animal and transplanting them into humans, fairies can be summoned as an alter ego and be used as a weapon. Such individuals who used fairies as war tools were called "Fairy Soldiers." Once the war was over and they completed their roles, the soldiers lost their purpose. Some began working for the government, some joined the mafia, and some even became terrorists, as each chose their own way to live.
Nine years have passed since the war. The protagonist Mariya is a new recruit of "Dorothea," an organization which investigates and suppresses fairy-related crimes. Amidst the unstable political situation, criminals with lingering wounds from the war and past conflicts emerge and engage in terrorism as an act of revenge. This is the story of Fairy Soldiers, fighting for their own justice in a chaotic postwar world."
This seems rather interesting. Helps that the director who had directed Grimgar worked for the script for this series. That and the director of Drifters anime is also participating in this anime. Hopefully it will become good at the end of the day but I'll keep my expectation low but we'll see... Anyone hyped with this anime or not?
