I might just be social media-illiterate, but it seems to me that starting this story from the beginning is going to become increasingly difficult overtime.
Also surprised this hasn't become a TV show already.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I think the part of the premise that I can't really take seriously is the protagonist having electricity and a internet connection whilst the apocalypse is out and about.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I dunno, maybe Chekov's Dynamo is played straight here.
But that still leaves the question of the internet.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I do believe that the scenario is only that the sun vanished, and not anything else. In fact, the first video of the story shows that the TV is playing a news broadcast, so, that must be saying something about wireless connections, right?

The premise is the Sun vanishing. That wouldn't kill electricity or social media unless your whole system is built on solar panels

We've had a page on it for a while; figure it's worth linking in the thread's first page.

May as well bump the thread with the latest developments, from April 30th.
@TSV arrived at Danyon's coordinates, but found nothing. Soon after, a car began following him, texting from Danyon's phone. Turns out it's some mysterious group that has taken Danyon against his will, though they insist he's fine and they mean no harm. They're demanding he give them control of his account, but refuse to explain why, claiming that if the information leaks it could "ruin our chances of survival." No word since.
There have been a few updates. Most notable is that the creator has finally revealed himself - Aidan Lloyd Elliot, independent filmmaker and content creator. The website now linked in the ARG’s three accounts also announces an upcoming web series based on it.
Despite four years of inactivity in this thread the story kept going, lmao. A lot went down but to summarize where we're at, at least, the main characters have linked up with a military remnant, discovered a weakness in the aliens, and the initial protagonist has sacrificed his life to blow up one of their ships.

Not sure if Twitter belongs in New Media, but:
The Sun Vanished is a story told through Twitter posts, pictures, and videos about, well, the sun suddenly vanishing. Aliens of some sort have something to do with it. Not for late-night browsing.
