Well, viz has this chapter labeled 18+ only and if the message is to believed can only be read on the website, so they aren't doing a print version of it. So allowed isn't entirely accurate.

Oh. I thought it was weird that it had a full color spread despite not being the magazine cover.

Now excuse me if that half-exposed brain prevents me from finding that color page sexy. I must be weird. Seriously though, compared to shit that To Love-Ru or Yuuna-san pulled this is pretty tame.

That page with the zombies suddenly pouring in the store is kind of amazing in its composition.

• Our Chinese assassin seems to spend more time banging her harem, than actually going after Denji. I wonder what's going to end up happening with her and her group.
• FUCKING DOLLS. Augh. Makima, Beam, and Prinz the Spider slaughter a bunch of dolls, with Beam sent to assist and Prinz given orders to retrieve Denji at all costs, as well as any bodies from their side if possible.
• Santa drinks coffee while observing from a distance, sending his Dolls to attack. Glasses Dude is contracted to a Stone Devil, and can turn people to stone as long as he's standing in his magical circle. But there's too many dolls to fight, so they make a run for it. Power and Denji are immune to the Dolls' infectious touch — Makima notably also used Fiends to fight, and seemed unconcerned about being touched by the Dolls.
• Tolka's Master watches from a distance, while he prepares to head into action. The remaining Brother hides in a restroom, chanting that he's immortal. Everyone is gathering for a big battle, except for Quanxii and her harem.

I suspect Quanxi's abilities have something to do with Sex Magic… or maybe she just likes her girls that much, who knows with this series.

And now I've read it. This series is just so....anti Shonen. I gotta say I love it.

You can switch to horizontal mode if you want the full splash pages. I assume vertical mode is made for phones or something.

I feel better knowing they announced the series for localization.

I think Shueisha is gonna want to have this series during Otaku O'Clock instead of their usual kid friendly time slots. But then again, with what happened to Interspecies Reviewers, I'm not so sure anymore.

Wouldn't surprise me of some parent groups have started complaining about the series by now.

I started reading this because of Super Eyepatch Wolf's recent video and this is one of the most bizarre manga I've read in years.

On concept, it feels like a mix between Tokyo Ghoul and Devilman except it has this weird tone where sometimes I don't know if it's supposed to be Black Comedy or dark and dramatic.

On one hand, it's incredibly goofy. The idea of "weird kid living in poverty fuses with a devil that lets him turn his body into chainsaws" seems so ridiculous it borders on parody. The MC is motivated by ridiculously mundane things like food, having a decent bed to sleep on, and touching a girl's breasts for the first time.

On the other hand it has these oddly poignant, existential moments. Like when Denji finally gets to cop a feel and then realizes it's nothing special, and then he wonders if chasing after a goal makes your life more meaningful as opposed to reaching it at all. And he also cares about consent.

Also, I'm wondering how this is running in Shounen Jump at all given the way more openly sexual content than the norm, even compared to something Jojo part 6 which was already really pushing it.

Like what even is this?????

And in terms of sexual content, you haven't see the half of it yet.

Chainsaw Man is definitely.....something. I'm not exactly sure what it is, but man is it a wild ride.

Interesting that you mention Tokyo Ghoul, since the creator is a fan of Chainsaw Man. That's how I learned about it and picked it up. It has never once disappointed me since, even if sometimes I'm not sure what the hell is going on.

Hm, Quanxi looks like she's being set up as the end boss with how much she's hanging back. Though this series does like the odd curveball.

Interesting how most of the people trying to kill a teenager are being played sympathetically. Aldo is manifestly not cut out for this shit, and Tolka and Quanxi are just here to make things better for their loved ones. Apparently Santa is hoarding all the heel heat.

Korean scans are out. Forget hanging back, she just went full Sonic the Hedgehog and rushed in there first.
