Godspeed.
Breaking the million units sold at 1.08 million as of March 31st.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Is that a good number?
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.A million sales should always be a good thing, but in this case, I guess you could argue that it's disappointing for a Marvel game.
Better than Infinite?
Mileena MadnessIt was a platform exclusive. That limits sales.
I'd argue the game being decidedly mediocre and low effort limits sales far more than then being switch exclusive.
I mean a million is nothing to sneeze at. TMS bombed on Wii U and Switch.
Mileena MadnessTMS bombed on Switch too?
Was it because of that censoring controversy?
Well whatever. I liked this game.
One Strip! One Strip!I believe it also bombed in Japan as well so whatever reasons is beyond simple censoring.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Guess idol bullshit really isn't that great to people.
Still gonna get the Switch version...as soon as I finish the Wii U version....as soon as I fix my Wii U....
Anyway. Marvel baby.
One Strip! One Strip! The Censorship of TMS isn't just about outfits, it literally goes on a 4Kids level of censorship on the commentary Atlus and Intellgent Systems tried to do with the Idol industry in general, especially with the second Boss's dungeon.
It makes whats was originally serious commentary neutered to the extreme, and even better, some parts of the game that you'd think they censor remain untouched completely, making it inconsistent as much as it is watered down.

Watch SymphogearIronic considering Atlus games rarely have censorship issues these days. Oh wait that stuff from Royal springs to mind.
Mileena MadnessSucks to hear TMS did meh on Switch but at least that’s still an opportunity for more people to play it.
I think it’s safe to say MUA 3 will get a sequel, a million is decent and I don’t think this was a huge budget-breaking AAA game.

TMS as in Tokyo Mirage Session?
Why is this relevant to Ultimate Alliance, especially since they didn't put in Link & Samus?
I swear to god if any of you so much remotely mention Webhead & Lucy.....
So.
Just over two years ago on this thread (a few posts above this one in fact) I finished the base version of this game, and put it off to take care of Tales Of Vesperia among other things I wanted to do.
I just finished TOV today (well, technically I beat it some time back, but had been working on side quests I never did before then, and there's still some stuff I haven't done yet), so now that that's done, I'm back here to take care of the DLC I never did for this game.
Two years it took me to take care of this. Wow.
You'll probably be hearing from me a lot on this one, so this that's why this thread is bumped.
Marvel baby.
One Strip! One Strip!UA 3 may not have been this amazing game but it still did its job. Unfortunately, it still feels like every step forward they made they would take a step back. It bums me out how much UA 3 just came & went. Even though there were DLC people just weren't talking about the game at the end of the day. I suppose the RPG aspect didn't really help at the end of the day. Even though it was always there since the 1st X-Men Legends. It's a real shame because I do consider UA 3 the start of Marvel getting their shit together. I'm still upset at my friends for not wanting to play the DLC.
I need to pick the game back up at some point but the required leveling is nuts
Forever liveblogging the AvengersGrinding is rarely enjoyable, but it's a lot more tolerable when you have a friend to help out. I can't remember what training room where you can exploit that. I vaguely recall the game is actually encouraged you to do that.
Yeah. I haven't unlocked a lot of the stuff that you get from grinding and shit.
That being said, I started the Epilogue chapter.
I look forward to unlocking the FF.
I'll have to find out how to unlock everyone from the other DLC later on.
One Strip! One Strip! No, there should be a training simulation that lets you grind your characters in the beginning. I believe it's supposed to be one with Nebula & Ronan or something like that.
And that was another thing, I bought the DLC but I didn't actually get the characters. I think it had something to do with the training room, but since none of my friends were willing to play anymore so I just gave up on finding out how to properly get them. I don't think I ever got Piotr & Scott despite them being free.
Alright. Unlocked both Electra and Magneto finally. Currently working on Loki.
I'm really behind. That being said, I'll probably focus on unlocking the characters I missed, and then be done with that.
One Strip! One Strip!Double post:
Trying to do a solo Black Panther challenge on Infinity.
Proving to be difficult without a team to back me up.
The purple gauged dudes in particular give me trouble cause I get stun locked by their attacks and can't escape.
Looking for a quick way to take out enemies while conserving my health and ability to do special moves. Any suggestions?
One Strip! One Strip!Triple Post:
Finally took the time to unlock Cyclops and Colossus.
I like the former's richocet manoeuver. It helps that it's a classic Cyclops trick.
Also did a bit more of the Doom story mode. I haven't even touched the FF yet.
I'll have to put some time into that eventually.
One Strip! One Strip!
Alright. I beat the game.
So that's now four out of the five Switch games I have that have been completed. It feels good.
This is barring DLC of course. Speaking of which, I just downloaded the Expansion Pass for this game, so I got rise of the vampires, curse of the phoenix and of course, ....something something of the Fantastic Four....
....ok, I forgot the name of the FF one, but I have it.
So now I can just do do all the DLC stuff for the games I have while I work on beating Tales of Vesperia...and then do New Game Plus for that as well.
I'll start with Curse of the Vampire for this game, then Phoenix, then FF.
Wish me luck!
