First suggestion works.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportBetter than the current, certainly.
(Annoyed grunt)If we can get the first one at a good quality, it's the best one by far.
1.1 > 1.2 > Current
Still hoping for Klonoa to get a new game... or a movie like this1.1 will probably look better at wiki size than 1.2, so it gets my vote.
Eh, not really feeling 1.1; it's just Red Eyes, Take Warning but more specific.
A narrower crop of the scene from 1.2 could drive home both the crocodiles and Cody's facial expression...
...however, "being put in a river while tied up" is scary enough with or without a bunch of crocodiles around, so I figured this was worth mentioning too.
Anymore votes? At this rate, 1.1 is in the lead.
Why so serious?1.1 is the best of a bad lot.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.1.1 has the most votes. Should we go with it, in that case?
Why so serious?Yeah, might as well go with it.
For a caption, how about: "You'll think twice before messing with Percival C. Mc Leach!"?

Why so serious? If we're going to go with 1.1, I think it'd make more sense to quote what McLeach was saying during the screenshot: "the eagle's eggs; that's it; that's the boy's weak spot."
That said, I'd still like to see people address my criticisms of it and what makes it better than the alternatives.
I disagree. 1.1 does have Red Eyes, Take Warning, but that's hardly the only thing sinister about it — his evil grin and the dark backlight makes it obvious that it is intended to be a scary shot overall. It's not the best, but as said, I find it better than other suggestions.

Fair enough, then.
So what of my caption suggestion?
I'd prefer No Caption. Less is more works better here imo.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?I'd be happy with no caption.
(Annoyed grunt)Agreed on no caption.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes. No caption works for me, too.

I've swapped it in and tagged the page. Lock up?
Locking.
This image hardly conveys anything scary; it's just a guy with a generic evil grin.
How about this or this
