In Mexico Lola Bunny is currently trending since her new design isn't sexy enough.
It's a weird in-between version of her original look and the modern design.
It's been 3000 years…Well they obviously were gonna tone her down from the absolute furry bait she was in the original movie.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I think the new design is fine (though I much prefer TLTS Lola), but I honestly would them rather keep the original sexy design and just write her as an actual character rather than a walking contradiction.
So I guess I side with my mexican fellas here.
She's still doing one of her iconic poses in that one, though.
Optimism is a duty. Her original design was not that bad (crop tops and short shorts is a major part of womens fashion, especially athletic fashion), it's more the exaggerated Ms. Fanservice depiction that went at odds with her You Go, Girl! personality. The promo image looks fine but maybe lacking some of the attitude the original Lola had, even if it was "sexy smouldering."
I just think her eyes and feet look oddly small
She/they. Hirrus Clutumnus is my comfort characterYeah, I noticed that too, her eyes are noticeably smaller.
And yeah, the proof will be in the animation.
Optimism is a duty.Entertainment Weekly has provided its special issue cover and first look screencaps at the movie.
This being a Space Jam movie, a basketball game settles things once and for all. To save his son and escape this virtual reality, James must round up the Tunes, including a banished Bugs, to defeat the formidable Goon Squad. Much of the early discussion on New Legacy centered on the reintroduction of Bugs, Lola Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety, and the rest of the Tune Squad. "Kids are [now] more likely to watch other kids' You Tube channels than cartoons," Coogler says. "It was a bit challenging to think about, but we were reminded very quickly why the Looney Tunes work. When we watch the parts of the film [featuring] the Tunes, you have a smile come over your face because, if you're from our generation, you miss them."
They will be in good Warner Bros. company. When James is sucked into the WB server, he drifts through some of the studio's most famous films to track down his underdog squad. "It was a tricky thing just in terms of what you may want, like, 'Oh my God, look, there's Mad Max, and there's Casablanca!'" Lee explains. (James also mentioned The Matrix and Wonder Woman as part of the WB look back, though no title is confirmed yet.) In addition to entering these worlds, "we have a lot of the WB characters at the game, watching like they do at Rucker Park," Lee says, referencing the historic NYC street court.
So from what I understand from this, Le Bron and the Toons will play various games set in various other WB properties?
Optimism is a duty.Wonder why Bugs is banished?
My problem with toning down Ms. Fanservice characters is that it can kind of come across like there's something wrong with being shaped that way. Like it's inherently sexual. It's not enough to rewrite her as a nuanced character, you gotta change her shape too.
As a woman with a larger bust, that's just annoying.
The last thing you hear before an unstoppable juggernaut bisects you with a minigun. The plot of this movie sounds like it should be called Cyberspace Jam.
You joke, but with how meta WB toons can get, that could actually be the reason.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonI've read somewhere that they're gonna release the trailer during the NBA All Star Game this Sunday. I hope it's true, I'm getting tired of waiting.

That is basically the conflict between second and fourth wave feminism. Do you avoid sexualized characters, or do you embrace them? Can Lola be a PG slut, or should that all be thrown out?
Optimism is a duty. Not quite what I meant. My problem is that, by changing her entire body type to make it more 'appropriate', to me that implies that her original body type is inherently inappropriate. But real, living people possess that body type.
Do we really wanna tell real life women that their bodies are inherently sexual? So much so that they can't be in children's films at all?
The last thing you hear before an unstoppable juggernaut bisects you with a minigun.Earlier I was watching a streamer who pointed out this issue. While it is better for Lola to not be just a lust object, trimming her body down, instead of simply dressing her more practically and avoiding fanservice shots and scenes, arguably sends the message that a person with a curvy body type is inherently sexualized instead of capable of being regarding with platonic respect.

Yeah! That's what I was trying to say, yeah.
The last thing you hear before an unstoppable juggernaut bisects you with a minigun.Tis a complicated world we live in.
Worth noting that this redesign isn't new to this film and happened first several years ago. Design wise Space Jam 2's Lola is essentially modern Lola (specifically, she resembles Wabbit's take on Lola◊) with the original Lola's face.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Well in a world where both options can be inherently unpleasing to both sides of an issue. You might as well go to the side that annoys chuds.
I agree that there should be nothing inherently wrong about having a large chested character.
Well, lets hope that as feminists we won't be forced to pick a side one day, then.

Optimism is a duty.
The cat is explicitly named Fabrette in one of the original shorts.
Another Golden Age short had the cat to be actually a wild cat, which meant she was much more agressive when rebuking him, to the point of mauling him every time.
