I'm pretty sure no official versions of DQXI have an orchestrated soundtrack with the purpose being he wanted to keep those versions separate to sell concert tickets.
This song needs more love.can nintendo use characters they got the rights to use as spirits? like for an example, they got the rights to use shantae, geno, and rayman, to name a few. (if I recall correctly) as spirits, soooooo, can they do whatever they want with said characters as long as they're in ultimate or do they need more permission to put them in as playable fighters?
you make me want to do terrible things to you~I don't recall ever seeing Rayman as a Spirit, but I know we've seen Rabbid Peach as one.
"I shall not be foolish again, my dear Gwendolyn!"K, sorry thought we had rayman, but atleast its an ubisoft charecter.
you make me want to do terrible things to you~People put too much stock on "fighter ballot". Also Primarina isn't the most popular starter but Rowlet.
Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life. It's still the most popular third-stage starter evolution. Rowlet's just the most popular first-stage starter evolution.

"I shall not be foolish again, my dear Gwendolyn!"I personally rank them at Decidueye > Primarina > Inceneroar, but that's just me.
Admittedly, Geno is just special to me. He's from a game that meant a lot to me as a kid.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireTbh, as I’ve kinda touched on before, the only reason I kinda get annoyed by all the Geno hype is because I think all the requests for him kinda led to other Mario RPG characters who would be just as if not more fun to play, are more recent, and wouldn’t require negotiating with Square being overshadowed and ignored, like Fawful, Vivian, Count Bleck, and Dimentio. And even then I don’t mind that much.
Mr. L as an echo fighter or costume would also be kind of neat - though I guess if he were an echo fighter, we'd be wondering why we didn't get Waluigi instead.
Even from the original Mario RPG, I'd be keen to see Mallow as an assist trophy.
Nobody would be wondering that...if they remember the obvious info about echo fighters/clones.

YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I'm more of an Incineroar guy as you know. I really, really hate how Decidueye looks and how it ditched the throwing weapons angle.
Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life.yeah, rawk hawk would be a good character, or o'chunks too, or the waluigi of the paper mario series,
F L A V I O
you make me want to do terrible things to you~Fawful should be in more things. Anything where he gets to talk. He'd make a great host for Mario Party.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireyeah, don't get why the mario kart, or any mario spinoff for that matter, doesn't acknowledge the rpg's and instead relies on baby/metallic/undead/power up clones of characters. like, i can get baby mario and baby luigi in double dash to rep for the island games, but pink gold peach? why couldn't we have rawk hawk or goombario or lady bow or tubba blubba or ANYTHING!? even in mario sports mix for wii or mario hoops 3-on-3 on ds, they were co-produced by square and had slime from dq and classes from ff 1-3, so why not geno, mallow, or booster? luckily smash isn't that lazy with it's mario reps. like we still got amazing characters like dr.mario and bowser jr.
you make me want to do terrible things to you~Nintendo EAD doesn't like to use Mario characters they didn't create for some dumb reason. Probably a sense of superiority or something. But wanted to force other companies to the dull NSMB formula in their Mario spinoffs. Which is why the newcomers in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe were characters from other EAD franchises.
Daisy, Waluigi, and Diddy were lucky to be grandfathered in Mario spinoffs due to Double Dash using the 2 person to a kart gimmick.

oh, always wondered about that.
you make me want to do terrible things to you~I love Fawful, I do. But honestly, most of the fun of him is in his dialogue, and Smash doesn't really do that much beyond the codecs/Palutena's Guidance. I don't think he'd be all that fun in Smash. In terms of personality, moveset, and more than a little "let's throw a real WTF" in there, I'd rather have Broque Monsieur.
Also, I'd find it funny, if they ever made more echo fighters, if they made Midbus into a Bowser echo.
On another note, reflecting on Ubisoft... beyond the obvious choices (either Rayman or the Rabbids in some form), who could be picked from their roster? As much as I'd love Jade from Beyond Good & Evil, I feel like she'd fall under the "too obscure for a third-party character" banner.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Beyond good and evil has a sequel in works so she's not going to be that obscure, though I support Pey'j being an assist
New theme music also a boxThe obvious answer would probably be an Assassin's Creed protagonist. As I understand it, the series does have a modest following in Japan, so it wouldn't be outside the realm of possibility.
Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805y'know, no more heroes was published by ubisoft, thus adding more credibility to travis, just throwing my wet dream out there, but an assassin from ac wouldn't be too far out there, and I don't think jade is "obscure" per se. I mean it's hailed as a 6th generation classic right next to wind waker,mgs2,jak and daxter, mario sunshine etc. I would love to see the prince from prince of persia, combining elements of the original, sands of time and the 2008 reboot.

you make me want to do terrible things to you~Ezio Auditore in Smash? I'd find that pretty legit. Should be Edward Kenway though, because pirates.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."YAR! YE be right me boy. I've never played an ac game, just because of archive panic, annual releases and the like, but if I ever play an ac game it's gonna be black flag, prince of persia + pirates of the caribbean, sign me up! plus that, isn't black flag like the ff7 or symphonia of ac, where people only play that and nothing else, thus making it the "most recognizable" (kinda hypocritical, I know) plus that ac had a decent life on wii u, if my local pre-owned game store is concerned, so yeah ac has a decent shot!

you make me want to do terrible things to you~My personal first Ubisoft pick is still Rayman, but I'd be down for an Assassin's Creed character myself, especially if it were Kenway because we don't have a proper pirate character in Smash yet (unless you count K. Rool). My Assassin's Creed loving sibling would be over the moon, too.
"I shall not be foolish again, my dear Gwendolyn!"Well, Sakurai loves ninjas. Therefore, the most ninja pick would Ezio :p
BTW, i totally expect Ryu Hayabusa to show up as DLC. I mean, while Nintendo co-owns Fatal Frame, they had to ask Koei Tecmo about their permission first.
Uni cat
Sugiyama keeping orchestrated soundtracks to Japan-only is a common theory, yes, though I'm coming up dry with any confirmation of it.
That said, he obviously allows remixes of his work (seeing as we get the same songs, just in a different format), so it may be that Nintendo could negotiate to have their in-house music teams remix his songs for the game. Or they could just get the not-as-good version in Japan for once as well. I don't think he's the obstacle in terms of rights that some people present him as.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.
