Here's his take on No Man's Sky. Specifically it's about the latest improvements and why consumers should not be giving Sean Murray a pass for this.
His argument is that letting him off easy for this would only encourage Murray and other developers to pull the same bullshit all over again.

Disgusted, but not surprisedAre we really going to have a thread about the guy who defends #verboten?
I really need to do research on what Youtubers I watch. Probably a good thing I've only up to this point watched the vid I posted and another on Star Citizen.
Guess I'll stick with Jim Fucking Sterling, son.

Disgusted, but not surprisedTo be honest, I'm not into the You Tube gaming community much nowadays. While I still like video games, I've become incredibly disillusioned with the community.
Don't catch you slippin' now.What is #verboten?
Gamergate. It's against the rules to make a thread anywhere on the forum about it, and even bringing it up in the video game board is banned.
Ukrainian Red CrossWelp, time to unsubscribe. I shouldn't subscribed to him again anyway after the first time.
I wonder why people like him are watchers/fans of Jim Sterling. Well, I'm going off of memory here admittedly, but I'm sure he has at the very least shown that he knows who Jim is.
Don't catch you slippin' now.You can't really talk about games on Youtube and not know who Jim is.
Ukrainian Red CrossJim did a video on him a while back when bad developers were trying to ruin him (Burdyev and a few others). Then his channel turned into the "Everything you need to know about the Alex Mauer situation" channel, and I dropped off because I was getting tired of it.
Game reviewers look out for each other, even if they hate each other. IIRC, Total Biscuit and Jim Fucking Sterling Son didn't get on well, but they were, in the end, on the same side in the fight against shitty game devs.
Qui odoratus est qui fecit. And I was wondering if anyone here watched him too, his style is quite similar to TB, so it fills a void left by the departure of the guy, at least in my schedule.
Hey, we actually have a thread on this guy. It's a bit old, but I'm gonna push it regardless.
So first of all, I know that Sid leans more into the right wing of Gamer Channels, but that is not relevant, as I still think he is 100% correct on this one.
So just for context, a few months ago, by complete accident, I stumbled on this guy Acerthorn's Youtube Channel, who actually did an 1+ h long video defending Digital Homicide and attacking Jim Sterling. At first, I thought he was just your generic self-important jerk on Youtube. But oh boy, did I go down a rabbithole. This dude is an absolutely vicious DMCA abuser, who has attackes several channels who even so much as look at him in a funny way, and he also has a history of frivolous Lawsuits. As in, Lawsuits that make Digital Homicide look outright reasonable. Sid did a fantastically researched Video on him.
Really, guys like these are the reason on why Youtube needs to finally get off their asses and fix their broken DMCA system.

Why the regret?
New theme music also a boxHe's a (TOPICTHATSHALLNOTBENAMED) stan and kind of a mysoginist asshole. Which I'd not clued into when I made the thread.
I guess we could request this thread be locked. I admit I watched and like a few of his vids, but when I found out all of that stuff you mentioned, I stopped and never looked back.

Disgusted, but not surprisedHonestly, without the intent of playing devil's advocate here is a lock really necessary? It's not like this thread was super active to begin with.
Sid is one of those people that, while I may not care for some of his stances or some of the company he keeps, I do appreciate the work that he does in pointing out shitty behaviour from game devs and the like. I can get behind the stance of consumer advocacy without agreeing with everything he says.
Granted, that's just me. I have to admit that I've gone back and forth about whether to continue watching his content; and the whole thing didn't really enter into my thoughts because he's been very inactive as of late. I figured I might as well just throw in my two cents.
Dost Thou Desire the Power ... Glove? It's so bad.Yeah no, locking something because we might not agree with the creator on everything isn't helpful.
Like I said, I haven't even heard of him before, and yeah, judging by his Twitter I do not agree with him politically at all.
He is still 100% correct on the Acerthorn thing.

Certified: 48.0% West Asian, 6.5% South Asian, 15.8% North/West European, 15.7% English, 7.4% Balkan, 6.6% ScandinavianThis is a couple of weeks late, but Acerthorn is now trying to sue Sid Alpha and over a dozen other Youtubers for $1.8 million, including Google itself. Good news though is the lawsuit itself is utterly unhinged, and Sid Alpha plus the other Youtubers involved in said lawsuit are planning to countersue.
They've already had some great successes, too:
Typical youtube drama to be honest
New theme music also a boxYeah, but one caused entirely by Acerthorn himself.
There are many Youtubers involved in this that I don't particularly like (The Quartering for example, ugh), but in this case they are 100% right. Acerthorn is like Digital Homicide on steroids. He has been abusing the Court System for over a decade now, against pretty much anybody (among other things, the State of Texas, his old university, Walmart, EA and more).
And now he is trying to ruin multiple Youtubers, because they dared to criticize him. I really hope this lawsuit goes the Jim Sterling route, with the frivolous suing party being defeated in the end.

Since he doesn't have his own thread, figured I'd make one
Sid Alpha is another game review / consumer advocate in the footsteps of TB and Jim Sterling.
Here's his latest video.
So steam has a cryptominer posing as a game. It's almost brilliant in its deviousness.
