I don't know much about any Jump properties outside of YGO and JJBA so I've just been stalking this thread out of curiosity, but I'm super happy to see Yugi made the cut here. Got a solid YO out of me.

How's he gonna work in combat? I can only assume he'll play as an assist-style character (with spells/traps like Swords of Revealing Light and Magic Cylinder sprinkled in) but I'm not sure how strictly they'll want to adhere to the card game's rules with him. Probably for the better if they play fast and loose with it though for Rule of Fun.

I honestly want his SM to be summoning all of the three Egyptian God Cards to use "Titan Firestorm" from Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie: Pyramid of Light.

Pretty amazing that Yugi wasn't leaked in a scan/magazine reveal first and only has one pic with no hint of plasystyle. Must be a special case for Namco Bandai

To be fair, this is like the first time he's been playable in these big crossovers since 2006.

Yusei would make a great second Yu Gi Oh representative. His D-Wheel would allow for him to be more mobile.

Light not being playable was a total buzzkill, but Yugi finally being back in a main Jump crossover brought all the hype back. Definitely maining him if I get the game.

V-Jump's cover leaked, and it's about Jump Force. It has Six Paths Naruto, Gear Fourth Luffy, and SUPER SAIYAN BLUE GOKU.

That last one opens up a lot of gates...

Could've sworn that those forms were already revealed with the exception of SSGB. I guess that means Ultra Instinct will be a thing too.

Ultra Instinct Goku VS Musō Tensei Kenshiro,that'll be a visual treat.

Makes Light's exclusion even weirder, but I just don't care at the end of the day.

Six Paths and Gear Fourth were shown before, but Super Saiyan Blue is new. Everyone thought Goku would just have Super Saiyan like the last game and since SSB only appeared in Super instead of the original run. Now that it's confirmed, this opens up a lot of options for Jump related stuff.

So Yugi is in this? Huh.

Who's next, Saitama? Because that would be what catches my attention for this game.

Saitama shows up if you run out of time in a 1-on-1 match, to punch the person with less health. You took too much time, and he's late for the supermarket sale.

Too bad he's not WSJ character I say this after it's already been mentioned a hundred times on the Internet already.

And Super Saiyan Blue being confirmed just debunked that

Goku is a WSJ character tho. Not sure why having a form a manga contradicts that. They literally don't have the rights to Saitama. It's like having Spider-Man in Injustice

...Or Hellboy and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in Injustice 2?

EDIT: Actually, it shouldn't be without precedent. One-Punch Man got a remake via Young Jump Web Comics in Japan, and Viz Media has this remake of OPM as a part of its Weekly Shonen Jump digital magazine. Doesn't that kind of make Saitama at least an honorary WSJ character?

I'm mean you might as well say. Ao T, FMA, and Inuyasha characters are honorary characters using that logic.

I'm not saying series outside of Shuiesha's hands should be added to the game. I'm just saying stuff beyond Weekly Jump but still under the Jump moniker might have a chance this time. Ya really think I'd say something stupid like Fairy Tail or Attack on Titan?

One-Punch Man isn't own by Shueisha?

Shueisha just publishes the remake I think. The original is a self-published webcomic.

I thought Jump or whatever bought ONE's properties?

I believe Jump has OPM, but Mob Psycho 100 is under a different publisher.

Wouldn't that mean Saitama does have a chance then? We're not talking about Mob being in the game & as far I know Japan tends to be more loose about copyrights

For those worried about it taking another character slot, Super Saiyan Blue Goku will be a transformation and not it's own character.
