Binging With Babish

He tweeted positively about it once during their heyday, and hasn't said anything about them since as far as I can tell. I'd chalk that up to excitement about a new technology, I'm not in the business of cancelling someone over something like that. I'm ultimately far more peeved about him for the Hogwarts Legacy sponsorship, and even that might be because of contract stuff and paying his employees, who knows?

Perhaps he was also unaware that JK Rowling is a pile of feces and bile that somehow took on a human shape? I suppose I can only speak for myself, but I certainly wouldn’t have known if not for these forums.

Even so, I’ll never watch his English Breakfast video because of that sponsorship: I like Andrew and his crew, but Warner Bros. and Rowling can eat my ass.

Ehh even if I want to give him some benefit of the doubt, with how I'm thinking he might've felt stuck between a rock and a hard place with paying his employees and contract stuff (which full disclosure might be too much benefit of the doubt), I doubt he wasn't aware. It's been in the news and his entire show is about cooking things from pop culture. I imagine he knew.

There's no way he didn't and people have said that comments that criticize decision on places like Instagram have been moderated and the post announcing the sponsorship have been limited.

It would have been preferable if he addresses Ed but he and his team just swept everything under a rug.

On a special crossover episode of Binging with Babish, Babish teams up with Daniel Williams of "First We Vibe" to cook a Bulgogi Inspired Philly Cheesesteak.

So after the strikes are over, Babish finally came back with Rick and Morty's The Every-Burger.

I'm glad that he finally came back to making fictional foods after the writer and actor strikes.

Two weeks old vid of Andrew on Mythical Kitchen's Last Meal show. Aside the food and interview, he also goes into depth of what the bloody hell happened to him in 2022 that made it the absolutely worst year of Andrew's life. Best to watch it or read the Reddit post because there's a lot of "holy fuck" in there.

It's perhaps rather grim or rather fitting (maybe both) that Babish opened up about this on Last Meals. Besides the food, the show is about people contemplating their own lives and mortality and what they've been through.

Disgusted, but not surprised

This was a lot to have gone through, and it must have been difficult to contemplate telling all this to complete strangers on the internet. If Babish feels this has helped him in anyway, then I'm happy for him and wish him nothing but the best in the future.
