Saint Academy, Class 1 Homeroom, 7:55 AM
September 5th, 2017
Today was the day. The first day of a brand new year at Saint Academy boarding school in Super City. Already the school was beginning to hustle and bustle. Students were doing their best to get to class, crowding through the halls and doing their best not to trip over themselves as they made it to class. At first glance, the school seemed no different than any other, with grey floors and white walls littering the campus. And yet, those who had been here long enough knew there was far more to it than that.
Not that Class 1 would know. After all, it was their first year at the school. And it was also the first indication that things were run somewhat differently than in most schools. Most Homeroom classes at other Academys are grouped by their grades, but here, it was entirely due to what students teachers thought would work best with one another. After all, Superheroes often have to work together with people from all walks of life even if not part of a team. When viewed from that perspective, it made a certain amount of a sense. Espically since everyone in Class 1 was attending SA for the first time.
Though that wouldn't matter if they didnt' actually show up. It was only five minutes to class, and not a single student had yet to show. Mind you, their teacher apparently wasn't there either, but if his student weren't going to bother to show, then he may as well not even have bothered? Where in the world were they?
A rather petite girl pulled her hood tighter over her head as she pushed through the massive throng of students in the hall, muttering barely-audible apologies to them as she wriggled past. She looked down again at the paper clutched tightly in her hands.
Class 1 was the one she was apparently assigned. Now she had to find it-
Literally two feet to her right. She had almost walked straight by it.
Blushing slightly in embarrassment, she slipped past a couple more students and into the classroom, hesitating at the doorway when she saw that it seemed to be abandoned.
"O-Oh... Was I early?"
Tugging the strap of her bag, she walked to the very back of the room, taking a corner seat on the right hand side, and set the bag down next to her feet. She pulled her hood back, but kept her head low in case anyone suddenly walked in and startled her.

7:25 Eckart Apartment, Liam's Alarm
Liam snoozed on his bed, wearing only a pair of boxers and a white t-shirt, the evidence of one last big party before the start of the school year very much evident around him. Unfinished food laid around, nigh on endless bottles of refreshments, and other displays of the teenager's life style made for a hectic and disorderly appearance.
Montrose slowly got out from under the bed, still chewing on the last bits of some food Liam had left out for him. The possum scaled the bed, looking at the blaring alarm saying it was time for Liam to get up, and then at the sleeping teen.
Montrose promptly climbed on Liam, growling a little, and smacked his stomach a few times. This sufficed this morning at least - Liam looked up and groaned, "I'm up, I'm up, beezus geist Montrose...ohhh shit..."
He put the possum down on the ground again and quickly ran off to get a morning shower, get dressed, already five minutes passed since he was supposed to get up. Liam basically ripped his clothes off, throwing them to the side, and leaped into the shower, scrubbing while showing due care for the achier scars.
After the shower, he dried off and got dressed in his usual outfit for the day - t-shirt, aviator's jacket, jeans and boots. He slipped on his specialized gloves as he checked to make sure everything was on right in his hurry. Looking at himself in the mirror in passing, Liam nodded once and then twice, taking up a pre-prepared lunch inside a rather rag tag lunch box and heading out in a hurry.
Gotta get to school on time...
By 7:55, Liam was there if a little winded from his rush to get to class - his hair looked positively wind-swept due to his hurry to get there on time, and he was harshly. He almost dropped when he entered home room. "Here...on time...I think..."
His phone was always a minute or so ahead, and that had resulted in an even faster run for the class.

Class 1 Homeroom, Saint Academy - Matten Mahsa Mattiuza Matten put careful effort into avoiding collisions with the rather thick clumps of students lining the halls. Not that I should be bothering. None of the adorable tykes offered to carry me... Maybe the swirling embers around her warned others off, but still would be nice. Her jacket was probably thick enough to let them make it to the class and probably the nurse. The lightning dimmed more than a bit as she passed, and while a few took notice, too many more barely looked up from their schedules. And I am not mundane, but I understand if I have to prove it... After the silent hallway, Matten didn't hesitate in bursting through the door to Class 1. Passing a small student, Matten gave her a quick smile before setting about finding the right desk—then noisily dragging it to a window seat and pushing an identical to the imperceptive desk back where the first had come. Second Row far left. View of the teacher, the class, and the goings outside, and prime for getting her due attention when necessary. Then Matten sat herself on the window seat, before taking a bow. "My greetings and regards!" she meant to say more but the room was paltry. Well, I was kind of focused on my entrance. Do I have to leave and start again? No, the class hamster might spoil it, and I'm kind of noticeable. Matten sighed and put her head in her hands, still standing, but having parked her bags at the desk. I'll think of a better gift for when the tykes arrive...

Oliver looked at his watch, then out the window, and then back at his watch. Something was wrong. If it's 5:50, it should not be that light out. He decided it'd be a good idea to check the time on his phone, even if he wasn't too sure how to handle the technology. He flipped it open and... Son of a.... Oliver threw on his coat and his scabbard and ran out of his dorm, almost forgetting his bag. He arrived at the classroom, to find he wasn't the only one who was late, in fact, the only other people there were a small girl, a boy who looked like he was trying to appear poor, and... a girl with a black halo...? Oliver briefly stared at the last girl, but decided that he didn't care all that much, and chose a desk near the center of the room to sit in.
Class 1 Homeroom, Saint Academy
"Mein Sohn, nur Mut... Wer Gott vertraut, baut gut..." Opera was one of the few luxuries Mikael Freisch afforded himself in life. That, and the occasionally hunting trip to his ancestral forests in Germany. And so the blonde boy in the fur coat - real fur, made of animals he himself had killed - murmured an excerpt of Weber to himself, if only to calm his nerves. Last thing he needed was to pull the knife out of his boot because he got jumpy and someone tapped him on the shoulder.
It didn't help that his grandfather's advice to him had been 'watch out for that Nazi'. Being blonde-haired and blue-eyed with a German accent tended to give people some particular preconceived notions, and now he was worried someone would try to induct him into an Aryan Brotherhood chapter.
That he was almost late to class was of comparatively little concern, especially given that he clearly wasn't the only one who had had trouble finding the room. Ignoring the assembled students for now, he confidently took a seat near the front of the room, setting down his old leather bag. Tapping his foot semi-nervously, he kept his eye on the room behind him.
Class 1 Homeroom
ďI canít believe you almost made us late!Ē
The beepy thing was too noisy! I didnít know you needed it!
ďWhatever, youíre just lucky I still woke up in time to catch the bus.Ē
As Rebecca made her way through the schoolís hallways, she mentally prepared herself for the first day of class. This was going to be so amazing! She was going to be taught how to be a hero, by real heroes! She hoped her classmates liked her...
It was with that thought that Rebecca finally made her way to the correct classroom door, with just minutes to spare. It looked like there were only four people there already, a heavily scarred boy, a girl who was hiding her face in her hoodie, a girl glowing with an eerie dark light, and a rather tall boy. Time to start making friends.
Taking a seat near the girl with the hoodie, Rebecca immediately turned to her.
ďHi, Iím Rebecca! Whatís your name?Ē
This was immediately followed by the disembodied voice of her partner.
ďI wanna make friends too! Iím Elly!Ē
Saint Academy Hallway. 7:40 hours.
Rosalinda looked around her. She was surrounded by a sea of strange characters. Many of them were already wearing costume; many were flying around or showing off their powers; some did not even look humans.
She thought back about the joy she had when she activated the ReliKON 4 months ago. These people have had their powers for so long that it became mundane to them. She looked at her wrist-mounted ReliKON, gave it a tap, and walked into Class 1.

Lucy didn't notice Rebecca until she spoke (she was watching in morbid fascination at the girl with the strange darkness about her performing an overdramatic entrance) and jumped slightly in her seat, her hood falling off entirely. Face burning red with embarrassment, she quickly pulled it back up, momentarily weirded out by the dual voices coming from the girl next to her.
"O-Oh... hi, I-I'm Lucy. Nice t-to meet y-you. So... are y-you t-two people?" she asked softly while playing with her hands, refusing to make any eye contact longer than half a second. She felt a little bad for tackling what might be a sensitive subject in her first sentence, but she was truly curious about the nature of it.
School before the bell can be chaotic, and Saint isn't that different.
Which is why, sometimes, you gotta get creative.
A white haired boy groaned as he saw the crowd in front of him. But an idea came to his head, and he clicked the heels of his boots, and ice skates appeared, as the floor beneath his feet was covered in a thick layer of ice, which started to float midair, above most students' heads. Then, the piece of ice got longer, forming an ice track, which he skated while humming "Nothing Else Matters".
As he saw his homeroom, he braked, clicked his heels again and made the track disappear, simply dropping and landed on his feet, before simply entering the room, giving a nod to say greet everyone and picked a seat next to the window.
I am probably getting detention for that stunt, but Noel won't let me live it down if I slept in on the first day
Ever sat in the back of the Van. She sighed as she watched the Director and his secretary debate through the soundproof window. They had been at it for 20 minutes now. She just wanted to get to homeroom and find a seat by the window where she could sit in the sun. Finally, the Director opened the window to talk to her. "Got everything?" "Yes." "Are you wearing shoes?" Ever remained silent on the matter until he scowled, a silent order. She complied and he popped the lock letting her get on her way to class.
She hardly really noticed most of the stranger students on her way to the room. It wasn't like they were that unusual compared to her normal company. The one person she DID notice she only noticed because they were on fire and Ever made sure to give her a wide berth.
When Ever finally reached the room she was surprised to find so few people inside. She went over and sat down by the sunniest window she could find... Yeah... This was nice... She slowly looked over the other occupants in the room. A girl that looked like she was in serious need of a bath was chatting up a girl in a hoodie. Someone in a heavy jacket and with a black halo. Her eyes lingered a bit on the guy who had to be more than six and a half feet tall. For a moment she thought he was the homeroom teacher based off his height. It took her a moment to realize that he had more the air of a student about him and moved on. She realized she should probably talk to somebody and turned towards the nearest person, a guy who's breath was visible for some reason. She extended her hand.
"Hi, my name's Ever. What's your's?"

Mike Barnes walked in through the school's double doors, slamming them open and strutting like he owned the school. Even though he was just a first-timer, he knew that he soon would. He stared at everybody through the hallways, trying to size up who he could stomach hanging out with and who could should be avoided at all costs. Navigating the cliques and dramas of high school came easy to Mike in the past and he figured this would be no different.
However, it seemed that he would have to bring his popularity A-game for this crowd of weirdoes as with so many strange costumes and even stranger looking people, it might be difficult to tell who was cool and who wasn't. Heck, maybe someone as normal and popular as Mike might be seen as a loser. Mike almost dry-heaved at such a thought before shaking such negativity out of his mind and walking into his first class. He surveyed the room to see what was what and strategically pick his seat. His go-to strategy was to sit next to someone hot that he could hit on all year while at the same time sitting behind somebody who looked smart so he could cheat off of them.
The first student he spotted was some kind of plant girl. She was alright-looking he guessed - for a foresty mutant chick - but she looked too strange for Mike to associate with, especially on the first day. Some pale boy looked pretty cool - figuratively and literally as he seemed to have ice powers - and Mike kept him in the back of his mind as a potential seatmate. And then he saw someone that made him almost laugh out loud - a cute girl who looked shy and awkward. Such girls in his old school could never resist hanging out with someone as strong and popular as him and he figured this one to be no different. Striding over to her, he put on his most winning smile, he walked over to her.
"Hey how's it going? Name's Mike an-godDAMN girl you need a shower." Mike began talking to Lucy before being cut off by the terrible stench emanating from Rebecca.
The boy named Mike did not endear himself to Rosalinda, but she couldn't help but agree. How could such poor hygiene be allowed in a place as esteemed as this?
Lucyís question was certainly one that Rebecca had anticipated, but she still wasnít really sure how to explain it. But she should at least give it a shot.
ďUm, not really? I mean sort of, but... you see, Iím Rebecca, Iím me, this is my body, and Ellyís not me but she sort of... lives inside me? And sometimes she comes out. But we canít be separated either, because she like, bonded to my soul or something? Iím sorry Iím not doing a great job of explaining this.Ē
Thatís when the newcomer showed up, and commented on her hygiene in a way that was expected, but still quite rude. Still, she was a bit more prepared for this one, and it was forgivable for someone who didnít know her situation.
ďI literally canít take a shower. Itís a side effect of my powers. Anything that touches my skin becomes filthy, and thatís not really conducive to cleaning myself. But donít worry, the smellís not so bad once you get used to it!Ē
Matten scowled at the newcomers, before quickly managing a neutral expression. They should have been here earlier. "My salutations and regards," she bowed again at everyone. "Also, my little 'Mike an-godDAMN girl you need a shower!', your name is longer than mine. Where are you from? And did you have access to some reading, like the class list? Your literary skills might have warned you..." Matten was smiling by now, almost benevolently.
ďMaybe but itís going to take me awhile to get used to that. Still, I eventually got used to the smell of my old locker room and you donít smell half as bad as that.Ē Mike grinned at Rebecca before some weird kid came and started passively-aggressively insulting him. At least, thatís what Mike thought they were doing.
ďYeah, yeah I bet youíre fun at a party.Ē Mike rolled his eyes at Matten before taking a seat.
Rosalinda noticed Matten and replied with a military salute. Smiling.

Class 1 Room of Saint Academy:
Surely Alexandra was off to a great start, being late to the class and all. Robot girl was not sure how it happened, since every function of her body worked perfectly. Alexa wore her favorite yellow Pikachu costume and flew off to the place of new genesis. Saint Academy.
For breakfast she had a simple, yet tasty enough oil. While her new robotic body can digest and make use of organic food, if the need arises, the good old petroleum would do. Future Automaton Omega only requires a small amount of it for functioning. While at first, the girl despised the taste, strangely enough, she soon developed a taste for it. The less we speak of petroleum chocolate, the better.
The girl turned robot arrived at the Academy with thrusters under her legs. Very handy stuff, if one would ask her.
Inside the school she saw many unique teenagers, as expected from a superhero academy. However, Alexa felt nothing towards them. Nothing but sheer void in her heart. In an attempt to hide and deny it, Alexa smiled towards no one particularly. Warmth that she expected to have was absent, and this made her scared.
Shaking off this feeling, Alexa finally reached her classroom and opened the door to see... quite a group. Hoping to make a good impression at least, she made greeted everyone in the class loudly, signifying her arrival:

Oliver looked up with a start at the robot girl. He tensed and reached for his sword, but relaxed upon realizing she wasn't Tech Corp. He awkwardly truned the sword-grab into a wave. "Hey."
This is certainly an interesting bunch, Samuel thought, at least his time here will be eventful. The big jock, the trash girl and the loud girl with the black halo were making a bit of a show. But a girl's voice snapped him out of his thoughts.
A plant girl. He better be careful with his powers or it'll be unpleasant. Shrugging those thoughts off, he shook her hand.
"Samuel Everett" He introduced himself "Nice to meet you"
A new arrival made him look, and gave the new girl a wave.
And so the room filled up more and more, with Liam noting the presence of a large number of people - a pushy jock who'd probably get along with Cous, a weird kid, and a plant girl among others. Liam did admit he had dozed off for a bit, it'd probably take him a while to get used to getting up this early. Especially with what he was usually doing late at night.
So when the jock said someone "looked like they'd be fun at a party" in a certain way, Liam walked over and commented, "You sure a jock like you wants to be talking about having fun at a party? I'd probably rather have you," Liam gestured at Matten, "At one of my parties - last few times I invited meatheads, it wasn't pretty - took me forever to get those stains out of the rug."
One thing that basically cancels fun is guys like this expecting to be treated like the school royalty.

She took the time to wave to the new arrival before watching the ruckus in the corner. A fight seemed to be brewing. She turned back to Samuel.
"Think they're gonna start something?"
Without really waiting for an answer she picked out a poison ivy seed from the pouch at her waist and flicked it over to where the three others were hurling insults at each other.

"O-oh, I see..." Lucy muttered, her voice a little stronger. "So y-you weren't a-always like this? Did y-you and Elly fuse with e-each oth-"
She cut herself off as a new boy came striding over with a well-practiced grin on his face, beginning to introduce himself before being cut off by her new friend's... odour.
Wait, friend? Did she really consider Rebecca (and also Elly, respectively) her friend already?
She didn't have long to ponder this question before being made aware of the ensuing tension in the room between a few of her classmates. Initially making to pull up her hood again and shuffle further towards the corner, she paused.
If the teacher walked in on a fight, and she hadn't bothered to do anything, would that make her any closer to being a hero?
Blushing a little as what she was about to do, Lucy reached into her bag, bringing out a few pens. Quickly unscrewing their nibs, she pulled the ink out with a gesture, making it congeal into a bubbling sphere the size of a baseball above her desk.
Concentrating, she spread her fingers out on each hand, the ink sphere mimicking this by stretching out into multiple lines, which hovered inches from each of the standing students.
At the very tips of the lines, a tiny hand morphed into view in the classic "stop" motion, and Lucy practically forced herself to speak louder.
"C-Could y-you all please stop? C-Class is going t-to start soon. W-What would the t-teacher think? On your f-first day as well?" she added, before letting the ink recede back into her pens, pulling up her hood to hide her face and shyly starting to put them back into her bag, face beet red.
I did it. I actually did it.

Class 1 Homeroom, Saint Academy - Matten Mahsa Mattiuza Matten returned Rosalinda's smile with her own and an ancient style salute, fist over chest and bowing, but cutting it short. She took quick interest in Oliver about to draw. So, robots get him in a knot on sight? So many implications if that's true... Of course, the big entrance was made by Sammi, ice-skating in, "That's was amazing!" Matten blurted at the boy, switching tracks without warning, then switching back when she caught Liam's comment—well more importantly caught him talking about her. "My gratitude and appreciation," Matten clasped her hands and smiled at the other boy. Oh, but does sound pretty... Then to add was Ivy throwing seeds at the boys. She like the show too? No, those are peanuts. Wait, there's more people in here now, but not everyone... Matten made a quick count before doing an even quicker left-right take. Not the aisles. She took the best route to the door, hopping on the nearest desk and skipping them to the door, before popping her head outside. "♫ All-Ye All-Ye In Come Free! Say, now, class 1 welcomes thee. Come hither. Lucy makes you shake, and Sammi makes you shiver! If you come through, Ever Green is giving out snacks! Those are facts! ♫" Matten turned smartly on her heals before returning the same route to the window, and winking at those here in any case. "Oh, we're gonna have such a good time together, and to whom I've overlooked, salutations and regards." There, Sammi has the entrance, but I get the reception... Incidentally, she completely missed Lucy's statement.

"That was random."
Rosalinda did not expect things to turn into a musical, nor this girl to have a chorus inside her mouth.
But then again, big-ass halo.
