Should those four pages be in an index if they aren't already?
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass. An index of Writing Formats is probably what is needed there. From simple poems to Doorstopper and not everyone needs to be a blue link for that if no pages exists yet.
Also should probably ad what Novelette pages we do have to the current page as a index too, if any.
The Writing Formats name you suggested sounds like a good name for what I was referring to.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass. They're already listed on Prose Fiction, by the way. That page is sort of working as a formats page.
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyAll four are already on Literary Tropes, Lit. Class Tropes and Prose Fiction. Which seem like good places for them. They could also be mentioned on some of the Awards pages, like Hugo Award, which use these specific categories, I suppose. But they probably shouldn't be indexed there.
Short Story also seems to be indexed on Thomas Pynchon, which is certainly a mistake. I'll go clean that up after I post this. :)
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Mind if we continue this discussion on this thread?
Indeed, since renaming and cutting are clearly off the table, and since the performance issue doesn't seem to be a big deal when you compare to Novel, I'm not sure this is really an issue for repair shop. I suspect that anything further that may be required here can be handled quite easily in the short-term projects thread.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Since we have a project thread for this, I'll go ahead and close.
Continue discussion in that thread.

Note that Novel is only found on 28 pages! And only has 39 inbounds. By that standard, I don't think this is doing so bad, since we have thousands of pages for novels, but only a few for novelettes.
I just made sure that Novel, Novella, Novelette, and Short Story all reference each other. I also added examples to Novelette.
