Airship

"Oi, don't you self-depreciate." The hand previously on Gustavus' head went smoothly over to Bianca's, petting her just the same. "You seem like the type who would punch her way out of the problem just fine. Umu."

Slowly, he stood back up again. "Well, I gotta say I'm a little excited. Beacon is said to be the best Huntsman academy there is, so all of us should know their stuff if they're coming here."

Airship

Gosh, this ride was borrrrring. Didn't help with Umu. Umu, umu. Umu? Umu! Just what is her deal?

Cursing the verbal ticks of Bianca that now reverberate in his head, Jack makes his way to one of the exits. Making his way passed the other students, he takes a quick note of each of them.

A grown child makin' a ruckus.... That lady has nice tats.... Umu MooMoo.... Scary scar face.... Big man with big muskles.... Woah, what's a law man doing here?... A quiet lookin' guy and his hologram.... Oh, what's this?

Jack sees a fox faunus struggling to keep his composure while gathering his stuff that fell out of his bag on the flight, and then another faunus stepping in to help him. However, they both seem to miss the cane that's beneath the chair. Jack could only assume it belonged to the fox, and the gears started to crank in his mind on what to do next.

Starting to roll towards him, Jack casually picks up the cane nonchalantly, combs back his subtly purple hair with his other hand, and approaches the two. As if Jack was blessed with perfect timing, the fox held his hand out to the other faunus saying "Thanks." Before Basil could place the book into Velos' hand, Jack had placed the cane there with a minor flourish instead.

"Well you're quite welcome!" he said with a slight bow, smile, and a pat on Basil's back. "The name's Jack. Nice to meet the both of you."

Jostled by Jayce, Scarlett turns to him and gives him a quizzical eyebrow.

"Please, I wouldn't be on this airship if I couldn't handle someone bumping into me."

Her attention turns to Jayce's little drone friend. Not really Scarlett's thing, but it was beyond anything she had ever seen before. As Jayce tries to drag it away, Scarlett leans in real close to the drone, curiosity in her eyes.

"So... What's with this thing? What's it do? Shoot lasers? Explode? Transform?"

Pius had no desire to add meaninglessly to a conversation that was already loaded with voices, so he simply stood in the crowd and idly observed how Bianca and Blaze interacted with Axel and his robotic hound. He was not the kind of person to speak if there was no point in doing so, but he did give an amused hum at Bianca's hypothetical musings, particularly the notion that the new person in their gathering was now the one who though their way out. "I'm right here, Bianca."

Bianca pouted slightly as Blaze patted her on the head. She knew she was short, no need to rub it in!

"I'm not self-depre...whatever. I really am a giant idiot! Ask anyone!"

She couldn't help but smile at the compliment, though and proudly puffing up her chest.

"Umu! I worked really hard in training, you know! I really, really trained so I can punch all the things! Thank you, Blaze."

Then, when Pius made his comment, she giggled and poked him on the arm.

"But Piussss, I might be the one to get us into trouble, but your ideas seem to always make us dig ourselves deeper!"

She laughed again, patting Gustavus on the head.

"Oooh, I can't believe we're really going to Beacon! Adventure! Heroism! Friendship!"

An idea occured to her then, and like Bianca always did, she impulsively followed it.

Straightening up, she stood atop one of the ship's seats and yelled out at the top of her lungs:

"Hey, everyone! My name is Bianca and it's amazing to meet all of you! I hope we can all be friends~!"

Airship

Basil nodded and handed over the book to the fox Faunus. "You're welcome." He replied with a nod. "Name's Basil Hopper, you?"

Basil's antennae twitched at Bianca''s sudden proclamation, and he sighed. "Feels like it's going to be quite an eventful four years at Beacon if we have classmates like that." He muttered.

Jeanne and Cinnabar

"The name's Jeanne Aurion, Cinnamon, and don't you forget it.", she said as she began to reach for two large suitcases belonging to her, not caring that she got his name wrong.

Then she saw Bianca stand up and yell out to everyone. Wow, this girl was louder than Jeanne herself, which was no small feat in and of itself.

"Pipe down, will ya, lady? We can hear ya without shouting!", she said.

Airship

"Oh nice to meet you, Basi-"

Bianca's introduction to everyone. Followed by Basil's muttering. Jack leans forward while propping himself up on the bench and lightly places his hand on Basil's shoulder.

"...Yeah, you can certainly say that agai-"

Jeane shouting down Bianca's shouting.

Jack quietly chuckles and sighs, "Eventful, indeed."

Axel shrugged in response to Blaze and Bianca "If the powers that be will it, I'll gladly take a leadership position."

Leaning down to pat his dog on the side, Axel continued "But, we're all on the same side here, so whatever ends up happening I'm sure those in charge will do what's right."

To be frank, the fox faunus was a little surprised that someone else responded to his thanks. Still, it wasn't like he assumed he was alone with this guy — Basil, apparently — and besides, with the cane and the book, he was pretty sure he got everything now.

"Velos Skotia," he responded after the commotion occurred, zipping up the backpack (No way in hell I'm letting that happen again.) and getting up. "A pleasure to meet you both."

Airship

Likewise, Velos. Jack." Basil replied, a small smile on his face.

Looking around at the other passengers, he then said, "We should head to the exit soon...it was a pleasure talking to you both.", and leaving the conversation. However, the faunus had one more stop in mind, approaching Bianca's group.

The least I can do in the face of such a bold proclamation is to reply.

"Bianca, correct?" He asked the blonde fist-fighter, "Your introduction to the airship made me curious about what sort of person would have the confidence to do something like that."

"Name's Basil Hopper, pleasure meeting you all." He introduced himself with a small bow.

"Umu?" Bianca turned to look at Basil, tilting her head in slight confusion.

"Confidence? Nah, that's not it. I just really, really, really want to be friends with everyone! We're all going to Beacon, right?! Be Hunters together! Oooh, just the thought makes me want to scream!"

The stars had returned to her eyes, and she was literally shivering with anticipation.

She grinned at Basil and enthusiastically grabbed his hand and shook.

"It's great meeting you, Basil! Let's be friends! Here's to beating up lots of Grimm!"

She replied to Jeanne shushing her with a finger gun, a quick gesture of her zipping her mouth and a giggle.

Pius was silent while the commotion continued around him. Bianca's little dig at him had taken him aback for a moment. But they were still friends, so he scoffed while he bantered with her. "Remind me exactly how I've dug us deeper into problems you started, Bianca?"

Airship.

"...Really. It was mostly a courtesy to make sure instead of walking off like an ignorant and impolite twit." The young man calmly remarked, arms folded and keeping that neutral expression on his face. A lesser fellow would've been snide, but he simply brushed it off, although with Scarlett's interest in L.I.L.I, he tried to give a small warning before...

"Hiiiii~!" The cheerful cherry-red and midnight blue cube accidentally gave the curious girl that was leaning a small headbutt before retreating back, with a frustrated >.< expression on those eyes. "Ehehehe...~ Oops."

Giving a small sigh, Jayce shook his head. "...Well, I believe she just demonstrated one of her features, only with significantly less force. If I'm right with the programming, it should be enough to stun most Grimm or slightly 'destabilize them', creating a sort of weakness to exploit. Aside from that...I suppose that'd depend on how much you'd want to know."

"-Ah!"

Scarlett recoils from the floating cube that just bonked her right between the eyes. Jeez, how can something so small produce so much force? Rubbing the spot on the bridge of her nose where L.I.L.I struck, Scarlett gives a Jayce a look and a smile.

"First thing I'd like to know is if you considered a leash... for... your... little-"

Scarlett trails off, Bianca's big display stealing her attention away from Jayce and his drone. Oh, that would not do at all. At all. Who did the little boxer think she is? Didn't matter, all Scarlett knew was that she couldn't let this challenge go unanswered. If there was a name everyone on the airship was gonna remember, it was gonna be "Scarlett Bullfinch".

"Hang on, gimme a sec." Scarlett said to Jayce and his robot before turning to face the direction Bianca was in. Rather than climb onto a bench, Scarlett calls upon her semblance, causing an extra "Scarlett" to materialise on either side of her who proceed to lift up the real Scarlett so that she stands with one foot on each clone's shoulder. Now standing above, Scarlett addresses the students as a whole with her most cocky smirk.

"Scarlett Bullfinch. My name is Scarlett Bullfinch. Like Bianca over there said, it's good to meet all of you. But before Basil asks me what sort of person I am, jumping up and doing this, I'll just tell you all. I'm the selfless sort. Because later, when you all get a chance to see the best in Beacon in action, you're gonna ask "who is that girl?" Except now you won't, because I've just done you the courtesy and told you who she is. Scarlett Bullfinch. You're Welcome!"

With that, Scarlett hops off her doppelgangers and turns back to her conversation like nothing ever happened.

"Ah, sorry about that, where were we? Right, so you said that the drone could destabilize Grimm if you had the programming right?" Scarlett gives Jayce a short head-to-toe appraisal. "So would that mean that you built this drone...um." Scarlett pauses a moment then extends an abnormally warm hand for a handshake. "You've got me at a disadvantage. You mind giving me your name?"

Airship

It wasn't the announcement, or any kind of commotion that caused the other fox to wake from her nap rather it was the fact that her brother, whom she had been leaning on as a pillow shifting around and causing causing her to fall from her position with a bit of an oof.

Scratching her head briefly, she stretched and took a look around, before immediately hiding behind Velos, trying to avoid the arguments that were going on, by well literally avoiding them.

"All this advertising, some people look like they've had enough already." Blaze chuckled when first Bianca and then Scarlett made their loud announcements. He wasn't the type to boast like this; he liked his bragging to be smooth and easily transitioned into flirting.

Speaking of the shortstack boxer, she really went out of her way to be sociable, huh. "Yeah, I wonder." He hummed idly, contemplating what Axel said. "I've heard Ozpin likes making questionable decisions when it comes down to team leadership." Meanwhile, Blaze's eyes wandered to where the little foxy shape was hiding. He couldn't help but smirk.

It really was true; Huntsmen and Huntresses were beautiful creatures.

Bianca giggled again as Pius asked her a question that really had quite an obvious answer, even for someone not quite sharp like she was.

"Pius, Pius, Pius! I might be the one one with the crazy ideas, but the stuff you come up with to save face usually blow up in our faces! Like that one time, during Papa's birthday, with the cake and the mean old lady with the fake hair? Umu! I never thought I'd see someone so angry!"

She giggled again, the memory of Pius trying to maintain his dignity whilst being accosted by a harpy with a bad wig being too much for her.

Then Scarlett made her announcement, and Bianca couldn't help but yell back.

"Thanks for the heads up, Scarlett! Let's hang out sometime and punch a Beowolf until it cries, umu!"

She then looked at Blaze and frowned.

"Leadership sucks." Bianca grumbled.

"If you think that, he'll make you a team leader for sure. That's how it is." He chuckled in response to Bianca's grumble. "Rarely do you get people with actual leadership capabilities to lead at Beacon. Misery builds character, and all that."

Pius grumbled a bit to himself, his face a little red after Bianca recalled that particular incident. They were newly teenagers during that time, and he did not like talking about that old hag. Damn, that one? Really? One of us had to try something, Bianca...

But thankfully he was prevented from brooding on it further by Bianca and Blaze's discussion concerning leadership of the much talked-out team structure at Beacon. "Do you know that by experience, Blaze? Did someone you know go to Beacon before you?"

Airship.

Glancing to the side from the smile and almost about to return it with one of his own, the showboating student had to go and ruin that first impression with a display like that as his face returned to a neutral, if very slight frown as he simply watched with a silent sigh. He wasn't exactly impressed.

On the other hand, despite her bubbly attitude so far, L.I.L.I picked up on what that word Scarlett was about to use after she finished showing off, a small speech bubble with an anger vein appearing above her head and those pixel eyes looking quite agitated.

"I'm not a pet~! I'm a side-kick! Assistant! Partner! Grawh~!" L.I.L.I gave a mock, if adorable roar as she went to try and give Scarlett another headbutt with full force before Jayce sharply and coldly cut her off by saying her name, causing the cube to stop and sheepishly spin around and fly back to her owner. But not before landing on his head and acting as a very silly, if sulky square-shaped hat.

And with Scarlett scanning the sharply dressed man, even if it was a quick glance didn't faze him in the slightest.

"...Certainly bold and haphazard of you to do that. If we'd hit a patch of turbulence, you could've taken quite the beastly fall." He remarked, glancing at Scarlett's hand, hesitating for a few moments before shacking it with his right hand.

"But I suppose we should get the introductions out of the way, Ms Bullfinch. The name's Jayce. Jayce Alban. Firstly, this choice of attire was the only reasonable sort of clothing I could wear here. Secondly...yes, I designed, programmed and made both 'Lili' and my equipment. The former was more of a test over two years ago, which...had better, if unintended results than expected and the latter for self defense. And thirdly...I wouldn't exactly say that you were at a 'disadvantage' if it came to a brawl between us, if that was what you were implying."

A small huff from Lili caused Jayce to hesitate and nod, trying to smile but simply kept his neutral expression. "It's nice to meet you."

And of course, while he didn't say anything in response to Blaze and Bianca's grumbling, his 'companion' certainly did.

"So it could be aaaaaaanyone~? I mean if it sucks for people who don't wanna lead to lead, uh...~ Oh! It means the people who CAN lead have to deal with the problem because they have to work with those sorts of people too, right~? Nobody wins! ...I think~!"

...With L.I.L.I even mentioning that, Jayce found himself feeling a little bit pale. Knowing his luck, he'd be stuck with the crazy or lazy ones and effectively have to lead regardless of the outcome.

The time between Jack returning the cane to Velos, and Jayce introducing himself to Scarlett, Jack decided now would be a perfect time to start 'disembarking.' He turns toward both Velos and Basil, snaps both of his fingers, makes finger guns out of them, and says "See you tw- three? later...?"

When did another fox show up? A shy one at that too... Jack thought to himself. Upon quick examination, he figured she wouldn't be phased by his sort of antics anyways. And thus, sadly for now, not worth the time.

Walking away from the trio, he passes by Scarlett, Jeanne, and Jayce. "Excuuuse me, Ms. Bullfinch." Jack said in a light playful tone to Scarlett, in contrast to him rudely moving aside Jayce (who was spacing out about leadership), and completely ignoring Jeanne and Lili.

Still moving along the aisle, he finally comes by Bianca and the gang. Having overheard her (and who couldn't), he firmly pats her on the back saying, "With that sort of attitude, I hope Ozpin doesn't make you a leader, Moo Moo! For our sake!" which he followed with a short and dry "Ha ha ha."

Scarlett lets out a bark of laughter and nods in approval at L.I.L.I's attempted assault. Heh, maybe the little cube should be the hunter and Jayce the sidekick. "Feisty little cube, aren't you? I like that! You're drone after my own heart."

At Jayce's suggestion that she might have taken a nasty fall, Scarlett just scoffs. "Bold, yes, haphazard? Please. I could've stood up there on my hands if I wanted to. Always did have a strong sense of balance." Scarlett gives Jayce a solid grip in their handshake, briefly considering using her dust tattoos to heat up her hand and give Jayce a shock but ultimately deciding against the idea. No matter how priceless his face might've been.

"Good to meet you, Jayce, good to meet you. And, no, disadvantage in a brawl wasn't what I meant at all. In a brawl, I'd run circles around you. Y'know, no offence or anything, but I think I covered me being the best there is pretty well up there. I meant it in more of a rich, fancy-pants, oh-you-know-my-name-but-I don't-know-yours, manners kinda way." Scarlett shrugs and gestures to her own plain and worn-in clothing. "In case you didn't figure it out, I don't rub shoulders with fancy rich folks very often."

Scarlett bites back an equally playful retort as Jack shoves past Jayce. In Scarlett's book, being a jerk disqualifies one from banter. Scarlett briefly watches him go, wondering what his issue with Jayce was. Wonder if they know each other?

"Huh, what was that guy's probl-" Scarlett, finally noticing Jayce's paling, takes a step back and holds up her hands in defence. "If you're feeling sick, you should know I have a sharp aversion to being vomited on."

Airship

Basil looked a bit bewildered at Bianca's sheer enthusiasm and personality as he observed the peppy girl chat. Judging by her and Pius' interactions, they two knew each other well. "Quite the ball of energy." He quietly remarked to the other boy, "She's usually like this?"

Scarlett's own proclamation-and slight dig at him- made Basil roll his eyes in exasperation. Not like I go around labelling people based on their introductions alone. He thought to himself. Though...selfless, huh? That's one way of looking at it.

Hearing L.I.L.I's opinion on team leadership, Basil threw his own two Lien into the conversation. "True, but that's life. If one of us gets appointed as leader, all we can really do is buckle down and deal with it." He said, one hand idly adjusting the scarf wrapped around his neck. "Maybe nobody here has a damn clue how to be one, but...that's what Beacon's for, right?"

Airship

The redhead grinned. "Mom was an honor student." Of course, that was before her life took a sharp turn, but... still. Apparently Beacon hasn't changed one bit in that matter.

"Anyway, it's all planned from the start. That's why it's so beautiful." Blaze hummed, continuing the explanation even as his eyes snapped to Jack. "Ozpin chooses people with subpar ability to lead and fashions them into true leaders. Not everybody understands that; that's where team conflicts come from."

"So with how karma operates, sport" His eyes slowly narrowed as he bore into Cyclaman with his gaze. "you'll be Bianca's second and forced to survive her umus for the next four years."
