x3 Jekyll and Hyde could be a very interesting topic. I wonder what they'd have to say about how Jekyll = Hyde was originally supposed to be a big spoiler.
Yeah iirc the hook for contemporary readers was "how does a respectable gentleman like Dr. Jekyll get tied up in that dastardly life of Mr. Hyde."
Let's do some histor- wait, Blue has his own White Void and not just sitting on chair?
WHAT IS THIS MADNESS
the enthusiasm blue has for history is such a gentle pick-me-up. I love how genuinely wholesome the channel is in presenting education as fun and interesting.
"No will to break."Red talks about the Darkest Hour:
So... Yeah.

I assure you, I'm a completely trustworthy person.Darkest Hour does seem a little ubiquitous. I wonder what examples one could think of from their favorite works (I'll post about my favorites later)
Overly Sarcastic Productions released a short video animating some bits from their Shadow of the Colossus playthrough:
Hope they do more of these.
Their editing, even in silly LP compilations is excellent.
Also seriously, this is the year of Red gifts. First we have her dancing in the flesh, now we actually have a documented swear, and some rumors suggest she might have raised her voice somewhat. It's almost as though Red's not an animated 2d human controlling a 3-dimensional transgalactic computer, and some sort of physical being that creates content.
"No will to break."Let's do some history:

I assure you, I'm a completely trustworthy person."This video is brought to you by: Nobody. I kind of just, wanted to say hi and hope you're having a good day. Hope you enjoy my fun history video."
Blue is such a cinnamon roll sometimes.
"No will to break."Halloween Special: Doctor Jekyll and Mister Hyde.
This makes me think that some porn would have done Victorian England a lot of good.
P.S. Called it!
"So, something happened the other day."
"Impossible."
I assure you, I'm a completely trustworthy person.I normally try not to read YouTube comments, but this comment made my day:
- Dr. Jekyll: people in real life
- Mr Hyde: people in the Internet.
"I shoulda just had a portrait done like that Dorian guy down the street" oh my God. xd
Ahahaha that ending comparison vs Frankenstein
I have to wonder if I'm the only one who sees some gay subtext here. With the repression and Jekyll being an unmarried man in his 50s in Victorian England.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Yeah, it could be (annd not surprising for it to be "evil" due to the times too). But honestly could be anything, given the lack of details.
Even though Jekyll/Hyde love interests were added to the adaptions, I do think they could fit within the themes of the novel, especially the fact that his fiance represents the woman that Jekyll should marry while the often whore friend is the one that Hyde wants to have genuine fun with.
Do you think the book was covertly criticizing the Victorian era's repressive tendencies or supporting them?
I think it's at least an examination of social norms and the confines regular people are put through to be what society expects of you. if that's a negative or positive, that's a little hard to tell. The book doesn't seem to favor a particular answer.
"No will to break."Well, we can consider it open to interpretation.
That sort of nuance isn't something you can get from watching somebody else summarise the book. You'll have to read it yourelf and most likely also dig into the author's personal biography and their other works to have any hope of coming close to their subtle opinions.
I'd want to see a Trope Talk for Magical Girls or Witches noting an interesting intersection. But failing that, the history of Aliens and UFO lore for the Halloween special might suffice.
Pagetoppers...
