"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman1+ to send this to TLP.
yeah, I don't think that's enough of a distinction from Word Salad Lyrics, and it seems that most agree due to the poor performance of the trope. Cut, or send back to TLP would be my vote.
How about merging this trope into Word Salad Lyrics instead?
+1 merge.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool. The description in the OP makes it sounds like this trope is The Same But Less to Word Salad Lyrics, which is not tropeworthy in its own right. I agree to merge.
I agree merge into Word Salad Lyrics

Just another day in the life of Jimmy NutrinMerge. We just had a similar discussion in the crash rescue thread, actually. I don't think "phrase" and "word" are saliently different enough for a trope title...

The description says " This is known as Word Salad Lyrics. However, sometimes the same effect is done in a slightly less extreme way. Introducing the Phrase Salad Lyrics, where, unlike the more extreme Word Salad Lyrics, each line or sentence in a song actually completes a thought".
This seems like too subtle a distinction from Word Salad Lyrics, and given the anemic inbound count, I think it's due for a fix.
