- I’m not too worried about the Babylon Rogues. Sure Wave only has a wrench, but she carries around dynamite with her, and Storm can punch so hard to create shock waves around him or create tornadoes. As long as they actually hit these guys from a distance, then they should be good.
- Cream I’m a bit more concerned about, but I think she can win if she pulls the “get out of the way” card by having Gemerl accidentally hit Zeema. Still, I wonder if Ian will give her new combat tricks and techniques, though I agree she could’ve stayed behind. But she wanted to prove herself, and overcoming adversity is the best solution for that.
- Amy should just Fastball Special a bomb Tails made and lands into Zomom’s mouth lol.
- Can they rebuild Omega though?
- Knuckles lowkey should’ve went with Espio. Him as Zazz could go all out and once Zazz feels somewhat weakened, Espio could go for the emerald and book it. But then again, its calm vs crazy and I’ve wanted to see what Espio can do when he goes all out. Does he usually have weapons or is that a comics only thing?
Guy's got throwing knives. Ninjas always need throwing knives.
Is there an out of universe reason why Infinite hasn't shown up, considering IDW Sonic is osteniably meant to be set after Sonic Forces? It's vague what happens to him, but unlike most one-game villains he doesn't redeem himself, die or suffer a definitive Sealed Evil in a Can, so there's always an option to bring him back. Do they want to future-proof things in case SEGA wants to bring him back(and probably retool him to be less divisive)?
Yes I know it's an Alternate Continuity, but it still follows a number of game events
I think Sega is "we gave ourselves a Sequel Hook, we don't want IDW to complicate things"

Ian is not allowed to use Infinite according to BumbleKast #83. Not sure if a reason was given.

The Protomen enhanced my life.We have to assume that Sega either plans to forget about him or they still have plans for him and they don't want the comic to contradict it.
One Strip! One Strip!Infinite went to the store to find Lyric, who went to buy cigars and never came back. I'm sure he will come back one day.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.SEGA usually blocks the use of one-off villains. I seriously doubt they care about IDW's actual story content in any real way.
Well, on the one hand, they are one offs. They're dead and there's no reason to bring them back.
On the other hand, if you can think of a way to bring them back without undoing those deaths (and this is comics: there's always a way) then it seems kinda like a waste, especially since Sega has no desire to use them.
I'm still assuming they might have plans for Infinite again (we really don't know what happened to him, though the game hints Eggman straight up killed him in order to power his final robot for the Final Boss fight), because there's still a lot of ambiguity about what happened to him. We don't even know what his face looks like.
As for the others they've banned, it may be due to they already dead homes excuses, or it may be Sega's continued attempt to forget everything from the endless age of dork like beings that they went through.
....I still like Mephiles.
One Strip! One Strip![cries in my Sonic Shuffle love]
The Protomen enhanced my life.Uh... Infinte already appeared, unmasked, in the prequel comic by Ian Flynn.
That was a Forces tie-in, not IDW Sonic specifically. Different continuities.

The Protomen enhanced my life.I was responding to "We dont even know what his face looks like," specifically. We've seen his face.
As an aside, the Jackal Team from that prequel has been mentioned in the IDW comics.

Reading Flynn's Eggman with current Eggman's voice is both cool and unusual.
Did Mike Pollock ever got a chance to voice Eggman sounding menacing?
Sega probably has plans for Infinite, which might be why they don't want Ian to beat them...
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.He kinda came off as a little menacing when he showed up to wreck Soleanna.
The whole standing in the flames thing probably helped. That being said, it's 06, so I can get why people would (want to) forget it.
One Strip! One Strip! His character has infinite potential, so I'd hope Sega wouldn't forget about him.
He doesn't really have any potential to speak of, other than as a punchline to a bad joke.

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.Mike Pollock does an excellent evil Eggman in Big's adventure 3 and Sonic Lost world.

Personally if i'm reading the Archie Eggman, i like to imagine Eggman's more sinister lines with Mike Pollock doing a mix of his usual voice and the Satam Jim Cumming's Robotnik. With that cool metallic voice filter.
Because you know.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. Not necessarily.
They could treat Infinite like how The Venture Bros. treated the Phantom Limb when he came back in season 4 after season 2 made him get his ass kicked by the Ventures and the Monarch and proceeded to be relieved from his spot in the Guild of Calamitous Intent.
Namely, reveal that he went batshit crazy, gave himself a corny edge lord name like "Revenge", managed to break into the GCI, and steal the two oldest members of the Council of 13.
With a toaster.
EDIT: In theory, you could similarly bring back Infinite by revealing he lost his last remaining marbles after Eggman stripped him of the Phantom Ruby, but now he relies on his skills as a merc but now they're amplified because of his further craziness.
Edited by TargetmasterJoe on Mar 6th 2020 at 12:25:08 PM
I mean, without the Ruby, a lot of Infinite's cool potential goes away. He's just a guy in a cool mask, and we have whisper for that.
The less I see of Infinite, the happier I'll be.
I'm not fond of the character, and everything about him is laughable I'm surprised he is not a parody of such edgy concepts to begin with. He is like Silver, except I always saw potential and soul in the character, with Infinite I only see a laughable jerk that makes Erazor Djinn look complex by comparison (And Erazor's relationship with Shahra have something going on for them. Infinite has nothing)
I'll rather keep Zavok and the other Deadly Zeti than seeing him again ever.

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.Infinite kind of has a similar appeal to Shadow; people just like characters that are over the top edgy for whatever reason.
I guarantee we'll see him again sooner or later.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Shadow had soul. Infinite has none of that, just some groovy music but nothing else. You could just as well put any glitch character like Ashura in his place and the result would be the same.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.I guarantee you that people who like Infinite don't care about that and just see potential in the character.
But hey, look at this way; now you know how some people felt about Shadow when he debuted in SA 2 :V
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Shadow had his whole relationship with Maria and Gerald Robotnik to make up for his character, and every new character had something goin on for them.
Infinite has as much potential as Black Doom or Mephiles, ergo: One-Shot Character.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.
