Signups are here. Discussion is here.

At long last, the day has arrived. All across the known universe, young sorcerers everywhere are preparing for their fantastic voyage into unknown skies.

On Earth, Laura and her parents wait at the bus stop. They’ve been there for quite a while, and there’s been no sign of any bus. As well, there doesn’t seem to be anyone around, except for Vicki, who has fallen asleep at a bench nearby, and a few passersby walking past on their morning commute.

After some time waiting, Laura’s mother sets down one of her bags and asks, “Are you sure this is the right stop?”

At the same time, Vicki dreams about a small group of strangers rushing to catch a ride somewhere.

Meanwhile, Kevin and Christian are both arriving just in time to catch the subway, but can’t seem to find their station anywhere. Station four and one-fifth? What Harry Potter level nonsense is that?

The both of them are standing with all their luggage at the wall between stations four and five, but nobody else around seems to be in the same dilemma as them.

Dahlia waits in her home, checking her Uber app regularly. It occurs to her that it’s strange that a universe-wide magic school would utilize Uber, of all things.

The sound of a tray cart wheeling down the hall is heard, and shortly after a knock on the door, with Oscar requesting permission to enter.

At his own home, Jacob is awoken by his mother bursting into his room. “Jacob,” she exclaims, “Get up! You’re gonna be late on the first day!”

Despite the sleep clouding his eyes, Jacob can see his mom standing in the doorway, along with his half-packed bags all over the floor and his subway ticket to platform four and one-fifth lying on his bedside table.

On Gaia, six young adults and countless bags are packed into a crowded limousine.

“Wait, did I remember to pack Celsi?” asks Kalvin, Galva’s youngest older brother, as he searches desperately through one of his bags.

“Oh, that old thing? I threw it away,” says Scylla, Galva’s younger older sister.

“What?!” Kalvin exclaims, frost beginning to form on the seat around him.

“Yeah, we saw it out in the hallway and thought you’d thrown it out,” explains Bernard, Scylla’s twin brother, the frost melting immediately as it comes near him. “Whoops.”

“No!!” Kalvin shouts, dropping his bag and spilling all his garments all over the floor, which then promptly freeze in place. “You guys know he’s special to me!”

Scylla and Bernard snicker to themselves as frost begins to spread quickly across the floor.

“You’re, what, 19?” Scylla asks. “Going on 20? You’re too old for toys anyways, it’s about time that thing was gone.”

“He was more than just a toy,” Kalvin mutters, ice gathering around Scylla’s feet.

“Alright, let’s not have a magic fight right here in the car,” says Misty, Galva’s elder sister. “Mom and Dad are gonna kill all of us if you so much as leave a scratch on it. Kalvin, control your emotions. Scylla, give him back his toy. Bernard, thaw out his clothes. And ''don’t’’ burn them.”

“But I don’t have his toy,” insists Scylla as frost continues to spread all over the vehicle.

“He’s NOT a toy!” shouts Kalvin, unaware of Bernard setting fire to his underwear behind him.

Misty sighs, placing a hand on her temples. “Why do I have to do everything myself?”

All of a sudden, the limo is filled with powerful winds, blowing everyone’s hair and clothes this way and that. The winds blow out the flames on Kalvin’s clothes and shove them haphazardly back into his bag. Then the winds pick up a small stuffed tiger from beneath where Scylla and Bernard are sitting, tossing it into Kalvin’s hands.

“There. Now everyone shut up. And turn the heater on, it’s fucking freezing in here.”

At long last, the limo quiets down, apart from the white noise of the heater turning on. The frost all over the car begins to thaw out slowly.

“So,” says Mason, Galva’s eldest brother, turning to face the youngest sorcerer. “Are you ready for an entire year with these two?”

Sun is walking downstairs to the bar, where Mira is already tending to a few of the regular patrons.

“Good morning, sleepyhead,” she proclaims, as a few of the patrons nod to him in greeting. “Do you have a ride to the Universal City or am I gonna have to pull through for you again?”

Tasar’s alarm rings loudly throughout his room. Fortunately for him, he’s not in as much of a rush as most other Gaians would be on this day, as he lives within the Universal City limits, even if just barely. Just a mile or two from his house is the metallic edge of the city, separating it from the rest of the world. Not long from now, people will be coming in droves, hurrying to cross the bridges before the city departs.

But fortunately for Tasar, none of that is a problem for him. He’s still got some time. Although, perhaps he might want to start heading out before traffic gets bad.

Eleonore looks out the window of the train she’s riding. For the past few days, she’s been travelling across the countryside to get to the Universal City in time. It’s been a lonely trip as she hasn’t been around anyone she knows, though her mother has been keeping in touch with her on her phone.

The train itself is packed to the brim with other passengers, though of course they’re all caught up in their own lives and conversations. This time of year, transportation to the Universal City is always packed, as people rush to the city while it’s still there. Eleonore even spots a few people her age who are probably headed there for the same reason as her.

Outside the window, she spots the city approaching, the massive clock tower that marks Blue Skies Academy jutting out from within the skyline.

Down in Underland, several groups of monsters are driving into one of Underland’s capital cities, Furtropolis. All around them, anthropomorphic animals of all sorts are traversing the streets, going through their daily commute. Furtropolis is one of the few cities in Underland that has the sort of towering skyscrapers and bustling streets often seen on Earth or Gaia, making this a very new and exciting experience for those that have never seen it.

Daniel rides with his parents down the streets of Furtropolis, both of them doting on him and making sure he’s got everything ready for the new school year.

“Did you remember to bring your tonguebrush?” his mom asks.

“And your deodorant?” asks his dad.

“Did you bring enough changes of clothes?”

“Do you have enough pillows and blankets?”

“Do you have anything to polish your scales with?”

“Are you sure you’ll be alright on your own?”

Tian and Rzek are both in a large vehicle with Tian’s moms. Every once in awhile, a monster passing by will catch a glimpse inside the car and give Tian a scared or confused look. Every time, Tian’s moms assure him not to worry about it.

“Don’t pay attention to what other people think, alright?” insists Orc Mom.

“You just go out there and do your best, okay?” says Goblin Mom.

“We are both so proud of you,” says Orc Mom.

“And you too, Rzek,” assures Goblin Mom.

Thistle arrives at the central station in Furtropolis. He’s been traveling for a few days, and at long last has made it to the last train, the one that’ll take him off-world.

For most monsters it's unsure how exactly the train works, as this particular ticket tends to cost quite a lot of money. Nonetheless, monsters every day make the trip to Gaia or other worlds, though many prefer to take more back-road exits, which are much harder to find.

As usual, the station is bustling, though Thistle’s particular train doesn’t seem to be getting as much activity. Nonetheless, there are still quite a few monsters boarding. Near his train, a rather bored-looking troll sits inside a ticket booth, accepting people's tickets and leading them in the right direction.

The doors to Blue Skies Academy of Sorcery have officially opened.

Rzek was focusing on the environment around him. He can't believe what's happening. For as long as he could remember, he wanted this to happen, and now it actually is! It's unbelievable! Maybe now all that stress and hidden away anger will finally pa-

"And you too, Rzek,”

Suddenly, he snaps back to attention. "YES THANK YOU!!" ... Shit, what were they talking about? Dammit, he missed it again! He always fucking screws himself over like this. He looks at his vague reflection in the mirror with disgust. Hey, at least his bestie is coming along! He turns, looking at Tian next to him. How long was he friends with him again? It's been so long now. Rzek smiles and looks back out. This is going to be fine, it's going to be fine...

Eleonore's gaze turns on the Academy that would be her home for who knows how long, getting lost in her thoughts. Her mind drifts through the haze of memories, back to that fateful day 2 years ago. The day her magical abilities were made manifest. Things seemed...simpler back then. Ever since then, since the time she became a Paragon, nagging feelings of doubt clawed at the borders of her mind, even now. It all felt like a dream, ephemeral and disconnected from what she thought to be reality. She shook her head slightly, dismissing the whole notion and doubt. She was here, and she was going to get stronger. Better. She just knew it.

She pulled out her phone, reading through the messages her mother sent her again as she brushed some of her raven hair out of her face. The comforting words consoled her. To Eleonore, her mother was her ideal. The person she strove to be, or even surpass. She had made that a promise so many years ago, even before she took up the training of the Order of The Corona. She smirked a bit thinking about her younger self. The world seemed to be hers for the taking back then, nothing she couldn't do.

I was such an idiot at times. So naive...

She sent her mother one last message, four simple words.

Thank you. For everything.

She put her phone back in her pocket, her thoughts half-turning towards what she guessed to be other students attending the Academy. Her classmates, the people who she could very well be sharing dorms with. No doubt that many of them had interesting powers, and were maybe even more skilled than her. She wasn't bothered. She wasn't interested in being better than them. Her gaze drifted out the window again, trying to look ahead for any signs of the station. Patience was never really one of her virtues when she was this excited.

She had to stifle bursting out loud on thinking back to all the lectures she got back in training because of that, her cheeks going slightly red and a pursed smile on her face.

Christian stands there with a large and plain gray wheeled suitcase and thrown over his shoulder his green exploding cubemonster school bookbag. He had his pair of rollerblades attached to the backpack hanging behind him. The twelve-year old has a green hoodie on matching his bag, the hood is up covering his head.

He peers up to Kevin who also seems lost and then looks away again. Too timid to speak up, he pulls his hoodie down over his face more. He didn't want to reveal himself or worse make himself seem stupid if that was just some guy.
"Station four and one fifth" He thought "Was Rowling a sorcerer?"
He had read the books. He slowly moves backwards to look like he was going to lean against the wall. He tries to use his free hand to feel the wall, try and see if it goes through any part of it.

What? It was worth a shot.

While Daniel is looking out at the Furtropolis buildings, he answers his parents.

"Yes, yes, probably, definitely, yes, and... hopefully." he answered to all of the questions in turn.

"But, uh, hey, I'll be calling, so that'll help."

That said, despite his unsureness, he was pretty excited for the school year. Hopefully, this'd help him do... whatever he did with those boulders back then.

Jacob would look at his mother, letting out a jokingly long yawn, before getting up.

"Relax, I've got around what, an hour or two? You're overreacting as usual, mom." He'd say, before looking at the alarm clock to his right-

Crap.

Jacob would get out of bed, and begin the finishing touches of packing.

"Personal items?"

Check.

"Clothes?"

Check.

"Whimsical music?"

Checkaroo.

Then, after some hugs and goodbyes, he blinked out of existence, bags included, as the general feeling of drowsiness filled his entire body.

Hopefully, he'd arrive precisely in the station.

Hopefully, anyway.

Dahlia groaned as the lame excuse for a taxi driver continued to fail to show up. Aside from the fact taxis were also shit, she didn't understand why anyone but a useless lowlife would find any value in this service.

She wasn't even sure she wanted to go to this goddamn school.

Her parents insisted on it. She couldn't even remember the goddamn reasons. It was clearly a sign they were becoming senile.

Dahlia pressed herself up from the sofa as she heard Groucho approach the door to the living room. She could've found her way without her headset, so her head seemed to sorta dull whatever input feed was coming in.

Must be the coffee. And her suitcase.

Dahlia really loved coffee, though she couldn't just get it from one of those Starbucks vendors. It had to be the highest quality.

Dahlia opened the door to let her butler in.

"These Uber punks are late."

If this school was supposed to be some classified Freemason shit, why couldn't they at least afford a half-decent chauffeur instead of some schmuck off the street.

Dahlia instinctively reached to grab whatever drink was on the cart Groucho brought in, briefly feeling the cup to ensure it was hers, before gulping it down.

Tasar silenced his alarm clock, and quickly got dressed with the clothes he had laid out last night. He knew that Gaedan would be working downstairs, and his mother and brother were probably still asleep. He had already said his goodbyes, and everything was ready for him to leave. Grabbing the two bags that qualified as his entire life, Tasar made his way out the door and towards his old bicycle. It wasn't a pretty thing, but Tasar had made certain it was sturdy enough to last him for a good while.

After attaching one bag to each side, Tasar mounted the bike and started off to the Academy, keeping a brisk pace. There was always a chance something might come up to sidetrack him, and he was not going to let this opportunity pass.

Kevin stands there awkwardly in his most casual clothing, looking down the tunnel in both directions.

"Jeez, am I even at the right stop? I thought this was like a college or something, but the only other person here is like some ten year old kid," he thinks to himself.

He opens up his plain black backpack and takes out the instructions to look over them one more time.

"Well, as far as I can tell, this is where I'm supposed to be. I guess considering this is some secret society thing, they're not going to make it obvious where you can find them...... If only they gave people some kind of code they could use to ask questions if they get lost."

He turns back to Christian. "Hey kid, are you perhaps waiting for a train that only comes by once in a while?"

Slowly he turns his head to look up at Kevin. He briefly makes eye contact and then turns his head away. He tugs on his hood pulling over his face more. He didn't want to show off how lost and shy he felt. It was pretty obvious.
"Urm.. Yeah. Guess so." He replies in a quiet voice hesitantly, turning his head to peek up again at Kevin just encase.

He swallows. "Urm.. And you too?" The kid awkwardly asks back. He continues feeling at the wall behind him. "Dumb question, dumb question. Of course he is."

Vicki had had trouble falling asleep the previous night; she was really quite excited. She'd started packing as soon as she sent off the reply to her acceptance letter.

She wasn't quite sure her parents even cared; they were pretty busy dealing with her brother's latest misdemeanor. They knew she'd been wanting to transfer from the local community college to a four-year university, but didn't know the details about the school she'd gotten into. She wasn't planning on telling them much, not like they'd believe her anyway.

And so, she'd fallen asleep on the bench. She'd almost fallen asleep in the Uber she took to the station. Fortunately, the commotion of other people arriving woke her from her slumber.

She yawned, stretching one arm high over her head as she sat up and began to look around, wondering if she'd recognize anyone from her dream.

"Anything to learn magic".

Galva cringed at the fighting. As much as he loved his siblings, there was some part of him that wished to be an only child. He wanted to be a great sorcerer on his own, not be in the shadows of everyone. Looking out of the limousine, he noticed his surroundings. The Universal city was a large place, with several creatures. He recognized a few Earthlings, and some Gaia humans, as well as some monsters from Underland. Galva's parents did not like Underland monsters, but he was curious about them.

Christian nods a little. "Urm.. Yeah I guess." Replying quietly and awkwardly looking Kevin up and down. Looking away suddenly if Kevin was to turn his attention to him.

"Guess he's another student..? Should I introduce myself? Wait- no he's listening to music now. Would it be weird for me to put my headphones on? What if he thinks i'm trying to copy him.." Christian thinking away, swallowing a little. This was a chance for a new start, a better time. At least a hope to not be 'that kid' anymore. He knew he'd still be the odd one out, he's a middleschooler attending college. But he hoped it wouldn't matter with his powers.

He mutters something to himself and just continues looking around.

"This should be the stop they said..."

Laura was getting anxious. It felt like she had been here for hours. What if this was just some scam, she thought. What if there really isn't a magical school that could help her out? To be honest, she didn't believe this at first. It sounded like some fictional Harry Potter tale. But no. This was an opportunity for her. This had to be real. She had to see this through. It felt like her last hope. Her last chance qt being somewhat normal.

Laura's hands felt warm. She looked down to notice a small glow forming in them. Not now, she thought. She tried to push the thoughts out of her mind, but the glowing didn't stop. She turned around on the bench and threw the light behind it. It burst into a somewhat bigger flash once it hit the ground, and thankfully didn't make a lot of noise, until it fizzled out completely.

Laura really wished the bus would arrive already.

Thistle found it ironic that he was getting a couple of odd looks from his fellow monsters. Almost every single person at this station looked different- he could see half-daemons who bristled with dark energy, hulking trolls in suits heading off to work, and what looked like someone that might be a human but probably wasn’t.

Someone bumped against him- hard- and he gripped his leather bag of school supplies tighter.

Inside were various things, including notebooks, pens and pencils, and a rather sharp knife.

The main reason he was actually allowed to have a knife- or so his parents had explained (he wasn’t sure if they were just bull-shitting or they just wanted him to use this excuse) was because his claws were sharp enough to be a natural weapon. Having a hunting knife for skinning and, well, hunting seemed like a small thing to ask when you could carve flesh with your nails.

Tail twitching in annoyance, the lizardfolk kept his head down, striding through the crowd towards the troll taking tickets. It wasn’t dark enough for him to vanish, which was… unpleasant.

He knew that no-one was going to mug him. No dragons were going to swoop out of the sky and kill him. Hell, Thistle had just bought a coffee from a black dragon. Was it racist to call a dragon black? He wondered. Was it like with Phoenix-kind, where there were a couple of different subspecies? Or like with humans?

Perhaps he might have continued to ponder that particular question had he not almost stumbled over a prone suitcase. Eyes wide, the black and green reptile pitched forwards with a cut-off hiss of surprise.

It spoke volumes about his dexterity that he managed to not faceplant. Scrabbling on the ground and almost taking a couple of other folks down with him, Thistle pushed himself to his feet a couple of feet from the rather-surprised troll.

As she opened her mouth to say something, Thistle pushed a ticket into her hands, grabbed his fallen bag, and headed towards the train.

Sun gives the patrons who greeted him a lopsided smile. He only really recognized some of them, but it'd probably be rude to not respond at all.

Turning to Mira, he responds, "Heh, I think I'm good. I'm just gonna take the bus there. Unless you're gonna miss me so much you want to bring me to school one more time~" He grins again and hefts his bag. While he didn't really own a lot of stuff, it was still heavy when he carried most of it all at once... Made all the heavier by the weight of leaving home, or some philosophical shit like that.

Dark, scalding, and bitter, just the way she liked it.

Dahlia returned the cup to the tray and walked up to the window. She pushed the curtain partway aside to see if there were any cars parked out the gate.

So far, nothing.

The sunlight left a whitish tinge to the sight outside. She didn't know exactly how it worked, but whatever circuitry was in her visor did a pretty good job at making sure her sight didn't flare up whenever she so much as glanced at the sun or a similarly shining surface.

"I'm sure your parents will miss you sorely," said Groucho. "Do you still resent them?"

Dahlia didn't really know how to feel about that. They were the ones sending her off to that dump after all. The whole thing smelled like some sort of scam, but for whatever reason her parents did a complete 180 and bought into the whole spiel. Maybe they had their reasons, but it still smelled like a load of horseshit.

Well, except that part about magic or superpowers or whatnot. Dahlia had those alright.

Apparently this place actually existed but couldn't be found on a map for whatever reason. Something about aliens or Freemasons or other bullshit.

Dahlia hated everything right now.

Maybe her parents made some deal with the Devil to get her that set of seeing-eyes, and now all this bullshit was real.

"Dahlia, your suitcase is also ready."

Dahlia hadn't even noticed the suitcase Groucho brought in. It was big enough that she wouldn't need to wash all that often, but she could probably find more things on-site.

After retrieving that item, Groucho also handed Dahlia her parasol. It helped to deal with the sun, but it also helped to keep Dahlia from steaming up whenever she felt the urge to punch somebody.

Dahlia returned to the sofa, and after some time, she felt a soft whir come from outside.

As she stood up and made her way to the door, Groucho said, "Shall I escort you?"

"Yeah, sure," Dahlia said with disinterest.

After checking that the car outside matched whatever information was on the Uber thing, Dahlia loaded her belongings into it and then sat inside.

Tasar's kept quiet as he pedaled down the roads. This part of the path was familiar to him, being part of his usual commute to school, but soon he'd have to rely on the directions he had found for himself to get to the school proper. However, his mind was back with his family. He knew his father would have never let him go to the school if he knew the real reason Tasar was interested in it, so he had simply told them it was a scholarship deal he couldn't refuse. His mother had been in tears that last night, telling him how much she'd miss him, but he knew it was just because she wanted him to work like his older brother.

He wasn't going to be like his older brother. Having spent longer in comfort, Tasar's brother kept the mindset of a noble and still got into trouble because of it. Even so, he had no choice but to work with his father due to his difficulties at school, and he spent his free time reminiscing about home: their real home. Tasar knew that they might never go back, so it was useless thinking back. He preferred to look forwards; to a time when he could escape the city's influence and live on his own terms, even if he wasn't sure what terms he wanted to live by just yet. After all, that's what he was here to figure out.

Tian’s moms chuckle a bit at Rzek’s enthusiasm, or at least what they assume to be enthusiasm, as the car pulls in to the train station.

“Well, it looks like we’re at the final stretch,” says Orc Mom, stopping the car. “Is everyone ready?”

Eleonore’s phone buzzes, notifying her of a notification from her mom.

Of course, dearest. Go out there and make us proud! <3

The skyline of the Universal City edges ever closer as the train crosses the bridge into the city limits. She should be arriving any minute now.

If she’s still looking out the window, she’d spot a very large bird - or is that a harpy? - taking flight, headed towards the clock tower.

A few of the teens on the train are starting to argue pretty loudly.

As Christian feels the wall behind him, he won’t find any kind of giveaway that it’s permeable. Perhaps the entrance is some other way?

Just then, Jacob teleports into the station and immediately trips and falls over.

One of his bags lands next to him, falling open and spilling his clothes all over the floor.

A second bag teleports onto a bench over near platform four.

The third is nowhere to be seen.

Daniel’s parents seem relieved that he’ll be keeping in touch.

“Alright, well remember to call often!” his dad says.

“And let us know if anything happens!” says his mom. “Or if there’s anything you need. We’ll find a way to get it to you.”

Daniel’s dad nods as the car pulls in not too far from where Tian and Rzek are parked.

“Well, this is it. You sure you didn’t forget anything?”

“Sorry I’m late, I had to get another girl to the bus stop,” says the driver, turning around to look at Dahlia. He’s a young man, probably not much older than her, with glasses and multi-colored hair.

“Though it seems the City is running behind a bit, too. Ah, well. You ready?”

Groucho stands to the side, just in case anything else is needed of him last-minute.

As Tasar begins to bike into unknown territory, he passes by the Universal City’s artificial saltwater lake. Ducks of all sorts swim around the surface, several of them flying away as he comes near them.

All of a sudden, he hears a voice calling out to him.

“Hey! Hey, you! I need some help!”

The voice seems to be coming from the edge of the lake, where the ground slopes down steeply into the water.

“Well, we’ve been here for- oh!” Laura’s mom jumps a bit as the firework launches behind them, making a single ''pop!’’ as it explodes.

“We’ve been here for at least 20 minutes. When is it getting here?”

As if on cue, a small bus turns a corner down the street and comes to a slow stop in front of them. Shortly after, the doors come open.

“Sorry I’m late,” says the bus driver, a rather large man in your average bus driver’s uniform.

“It seems all the school’s transportation is running behind today. Is this everyone?”

As of yet, Vicki doesn’t recognize anyone from her dream.

A few of the people Galva watches are looking towards the limo with curiosity. Though of course, they can’t see anything inside.

Now, they are entering the academy grounds, and a few of the passersby start looking at the limo with familiarity.

The driver starts slowing down as they near the big clock tower, coming to a stop in front of the front steps.

“This is it,” says Mason. “Everyone get your things.”

Chaos erupts again as Kalvin, Scylla, and Bernard scramble to separate their bags from each others’.

Misty ruffles Galva’s hair affectionately as Mason struggles to help out the others. “You’re gonna do great.” She smiles.

If people were looking at Thistle oddly before, they are definitely staring at him now. Hushed whispers filled the crowd as he walks towards the train, and nobody seems willing to look him in the eye.

As he boards the train, he may be surprised to find there aren’t any empty spaces left, or at least not any large enough to fit him. Smaller monsters climb in with ease, and he even spots one or two sitting on top of the bigger monsters, but he is left without anywhere to sit.

Mira smirks. “Are you kidding? It’ll be nice to finally get some peace and quiet around here.” She chuckles, passing him a cup of coffee and a scone for the road.

“You’d better hurry though, looks like the City’s about to leave soon.”

The Universal City is preparing for takeoff.

Kevin hears a noise through his earbuds and looks over to where Jacob landed. He then stops listening to his music and looks behind him at the staircase and up at the ceiling.

"Wait, what just happened? Who are you?" he inquires the person lying on his face.

what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone else

Tasar glances in the direction of the voice, before taking a sharp turn on his bike to approach the individual. Were it not for the fact that he'd set out early to prepare for exactly this sort of thing, he'd likely still be on his way to the Academy. As he propped up his bike and looked around to evaluate the situation, his mind was coming up with ways to deal with whatever might happen.

So, let's see what they want from me this time. I'll make it clear that I'm busy, if it's not worth it. Of course, I might as well not make any enemies right before I get to the Academy. I've already got enough hounding me back at my old school.

"Hey, what is it? I've got to get going, you know."

Galva looks up at the city. He's ready for a new life. He quickly gets out of the limo after saying goodbye, and onto the city. "Hmm..., where to go?" After reading a map, he decides that he needs some snacks. He goes to the cafeteria, ready for some fried lizard on a stick.

Part-time musician, Dahlia thought to herself as she assessed the driver's appearance. That or just a straight-ass punk.

Dahlia also thought it a bit strange there weren't that many other drivers available for the job, though that might have been due to this place's secrecy.

"Let's just get to the place already."

She had waited too damn long for this, so there was no point in dallying around.

With a quick feel and glance, Dahlia quickly confirmed that her belongings were with her - most notably her suitcase, parasol and phone - before then reclining in the seat, watching the scenery as it went by. There was a time when she wasn't able to do this, so drinking in the sights was a bit of a welcome pleasure, even if it could get a bit dull at times.
