While Shotaro's decisiveness and honed detective intuition make him a remarkable detective, his friends and contacts often tease him of being 'half-boiled', referring to the fact that he wears his heart on his sleeve and lets his emotions get in the way of making the cruel yet necessary decisions that real hard-boiled detectives- such as his mentor- would have little problem making. Yet, this flaw is is also his strength, as Shotaro is willing to show mercy to lowly criminals, where his mentor would have left them to die.

Despite his flighty exterior, Shotaro cares deeply about his clients, his friends, and his city and will do anything in his power to protect them. While he doesn't seem to forgive those who would make his city and it`s citizens cry, he does not seem to hold a grudge against people but rather the crimes itself. Shotaro takes the role of Kamen Rider very seriously and with great pride, as the name "Kamen Rider" was given by the citizens of the city themselves. As such, he tries very hard to live up to expectations that came with the title.

• Backstory: In his youth, Shotaro was the protege of PI Narumi Sokichi, aka Kamen Rider Skull. After his mentor died investigating the Sonzaki Family's dangerous production of Gaia Memories, Shotaro vowed to finish Sokichi's investigation, enlisting the help of Phillip Raito, a mysterious boy with the power to access all the world's knowledge. Together, Shotaro and Phillip fought and eventually took down the Sonzaki Family as Kamen Rider Double, but at the cost of Phillip's existence. Even though his partner was gone, Shotaro continued to uphold the mantle as Kamen Rider Joker.

• Powers/Skills:
  • Seasoned Investigator: Having trained under Sokichi Narumi for years, he has honed his detective skills enough to become a competent private detective. He has a keen eye for details and has good deductive intuition, as such he is able to piece information together quickly and coherently and thus rarely fails in determining the culprit behind cases. His skills is such that the police,would often come looking for his help when dealing with Dopant-related cases. Oddly enough, he has also shown an uncanny skill in locating pets easily, more so than finding people,

  • Combat Skills: In combat, Shotaro has proven himself to be a competent fighter even without using Gaia Memories, being able to take on several Masquerade Dopants without having to transform.

  • Superhuman abilities: As Kamen Rider Joker, Shotaro's physical abilities are enhanced by the Joker Memory's power. He is able to lift about 2 tons, jump 10m, and run 50m in 10 seconds.

• Equipment:
  • Lost Driver: Allows him to transform into Kamen Rider Joker, gained as a gift from Philip.

  • Joker Memory: Used to transform into Kamen Rider Joker. It sharply increases the user's fighting potential and enhances their reflexes significantly.

  • Bat Camera & Memory: A camera that turns into a mechanical bat when the memory is inserted. Used for scouting and taking pictures.

  • Stag Phone & Memory: A flip-up cell phone that turns into a mechanical stag beetle when the memory is inserted. Used for scouting, recording conversations and making phone calls.

  • Machine HardBoilder, a customized Honda CBR 100 RR.

• Misc.: Shotaro likes to dress in a retro-style.

@Inspector Chung Chau: While the character himself isn't a problem - I'm going to have to take your word on his entire deal to to him being from a foreign movie - it's the van. I'm gonna have to hit that with a pretty hard "nuh-uh". It's an armory on wheels, basically, even if that wasn't your intent. It's also much too generic for it to just be a normal van. If you ditch the car, then he'd be fine.

@Shotaro/Kamen Rider Joker: A couple of things with this sign-up as well. Mainly with the Abilities Shotaro has as KR Joker. For one, I already bumped Spider-Woman down to only being strong enough to lift up to 2 tons, so that's a limit I'll have to stick to. Jumping 30 meters also seems a bit much, especially if we ever get to places with lots of tall buildings, so maybe dial that down to 10 meters? The last thing of note isn't a nerf, fortunately: from what little I know of the Kamen Rider series (what I read on Shotaro's wiki page), I assume this is before he loses the T2 Joker Memory?

As an aside, I'll definitely make the discussion at some point this weekend, so watch out for that.

Sorry to butt in but looking at the wiki the T2 Joker Memory is already lost by the point that said character is pulled from.

Should also mention officially that if your character does have a vehicle, it'll be allowed. The only stipulation is that it's their car/bike/truck/whatever - don't let it be an excuse to just play have a random sports car!

Removed most of the stuff from the SUV, so it only has the built-in police lights and safety equipment meant to change tires and such. Don't know if it's still fine by just being there. The vehicle can removed on your discretion, Truth. Let me know.

Ditch the SUV altogether and he's fine.

The SUV will be gone by the time Insp. Chung gets involved in shenanigans, making him foot mobile.

Only reason why I listed it there is 'cause he used it in the movie.

Okay, I'm starting to think there's a slight miscommunication.

Does Chung use the van throughout the movie? Or is it just used in one scene?

It's the SUV. Not a van.

Checking the movie now online, it's used twice. One when he leads an arrest on a criminal gang at night and one time near the end of the movie when he goes to the cash van that's been raided. Let me know if you think that it should stay off the list. I don't mind.

Yeah, sorry bud, but I think that the SUV should stay out of the roleplay. I'll let him still carry that stuff, but he isn't a Hyperspace Arsenal so try to keep it all in mind.

• Name: Gesicht
• Universe: Pluto, post death
• Appearance: Here◊
• Personality: Gesicht acts calm in most situations. Despite being a robot, he thinks and behaves like a human. He even eats three square meals a day and has a significant other in the form of Helena. He even adopted a robot and raised him with kind love before his memories of the boy were erased to cover up an incident. Because of his human-like behavior, many people even thought Gesicht was a human before he clarified things for them. However, he contemplates the differences between him and his creators whenever he's alone. He believes that hatred will not solve anything and believes that humanity has the potential to do good.
• Backstory: Gesicht was built by Professor Hoffman as one of the world's strongest robots. He fell in love with Helena. Since he and Helena can't reproduce, Gesicht bought a robotic child from a scrapyard for 500 Zeus and adopted him. The child was eventually killed by a human supremacist, so Gesicht snapped and killed the supremacist out of grief. Knowing the backlash from the media, Gesicht and Helena had their memories of the incident and the memories of their child erased. However, traces still play back in Gesicht's head whenever something reminds him. Gesicht was drafted for the 39th Central Asian Conflict and killed countless amounts of robots, which gave him mental scars. Gesicht was assigned the Pluto case by Europol and had to determine Pluto's motivation behind the murders. When Gesicht confronted Pluto, he didn't finish off Pluto because he knew that Pluto was a big softie underneath that terrifying frame. Sadly, Gesicht was killed just as he was about to retire. As a result, the agency chose to rebuild Gesicht in secret since they didn't want his skills to go to waste.
• Powers/Skills:
  • Gesicht is made out of the powerful Zeronium metal. It makes him more durable than the normal human and gives him super strength. Since he was repaired by the agency, they couldn't find the Zeronium needed to fix him up, so they used cheaper materials. As a result, he can only lift up to a ton. Also, he's now vulnerable to gunshots aimed at the chest and gut since the agency patched up those areas with the bare necessities. This also makes those areas vulnerable to electromagnetism.
  • Gesicht's left hand can fire sleep gas and be used as a stun gun. Normally, his right hand contains a powerful Zeronium rocket launcher. This was replaced by a shotgun because they couldn't afford to repair it.
  • Since Gesicht is a robot, his sensors can spot things the naked eye might be able miss on the first try. However, they are easily fooled when something identifies as human, as Goji was able to convince Gesicht that he was human. Then again, Goji genuinely believed that he was Abra and made the world believe in his lie.
• Equipment: Gesicht doesn't have any outside equipment as it is already built into his systems.

First off, a bit of a commendation on making the nerfs actually tie into the character. Most people (myself included) just sorta make them happen without any explanation other than "well they're in this place now so here". I like it.

Secondly, I don't see anything wrong with the character here, though I do have a question: What exactly can he scan for with his sensors?

His sensors are mostly used for forensics since he's a detective robot. Basically, it determines how the body has died and the amount of time has passed since the death.

I guess that's fine enough. Just don't expect it to be something that will let him know everything.

That said, he's accepted. Can jump into the roleplay whenever you're ready.

I can't believe this is the first time on this forum I've signed up as a Homestuck character for anything. Well, better late than never.

• Name: Terezi Pyrope (trolltag gallowsCalibrator)
• Universe: Homestuck
• Appearance: What are these "arms" you speak of? I don't smell any at all here◊
• Personality: A troll, both literally and in the sense common to internet parlance. She revels in screwing around and getting under people's skin, helped by the fact that she's very good at reading, predicting, and manipulating people. A student of Alternian law before Alternia died by meteor rain, she aspires to the role of prosecuting attorney and delights in punishing the wicked. She tends to be callous and guarded about her personal feelings, having at various times committed cruel acts and privately regretted them.
• Backstory: One of an interstellar species known as trolls, Terezi was born in the confines of a session of a cosmic game called Sburb, christened the Seer of Mind, and sent to live her first 13 years of life on the troll homeworld of Alternia. She more or less raised herself, apart from the occasional help of a yet-unhatched psychic dragon lusus, and during that time she came to aspire to the position of legislacerator,^note Alternian equivalent of a prosecutor, with the added duty of finding and apprehending suspects directly building a flarp persona in the image of her prosecutor ancestor that she retained until she left the flarp scene following the loss of her eyesight as the result of a violent Cycle of Revenge involving then-friend and partner Vriska Serket.
  Rehabilitated to navigate by scent with the training of her dragon lusus, she continued pursuing a future in the justice system that was unfortunately dashed after she entered into a session of Sburb with 11 of her fellow trolls, including Vriska, which had the side effect of raining death on Alternia. This got a little out of hand, spiraling into a multiversal adventure that eventually caused the creation and/or destruction of multiple universes, the deaths of multiple of her teammates (don't worry, Death Is Cheap), mostly at each other's hands, a subsequent investigation thereof that very nearly ended with a sword in Vriska's gut, three years cruising through the void between sessions, and a number of new friends made along the way. But alas, all stories end somewhere, and now she exits the game's confines into a new world...just not the one that door was supposed to lead to.
• Powers/Skills: A skilled manipulator capable of engineering complex plans, she's also very physically resilient and experienced in physical combat, primarily fighting with her two caneswords. And as what Sburb calls a Seer of Mind, she is capable of seeing the outcomes of a person's potential actions. She navigates via smell and occasionally taste, being blind, though is seemingly able to "smell" colors.
• Equipment:
  • Her candy-red shades, which double as a computer with a chat client called Trollian installed.
  • A cane that doubles as a pair of swords.
  • Pyralsprite, one of a number of stuffed dragons known as scalemates, and a partner from her flarping days.
  • A troll caegar with a scratched face.◊
  • A winged rocket pack.
  • Her sylladex, a card-based inventory system used to carry all of the above except the cane and shades, as well as any other items Terezi doesn't feel like simply carrying the normal way. Items can be withdrawn from cards as the sylladex's holder sees fit, and cards are reusable, but which card holds what item requires smell to identify.
• Misc.: When typing, she uses all caps and replaces A's with 4s, I's with 1s, and E's with 3s (L1K3 TH1S B4S1C4LLY). Her main theme.

After some internal debate (ie arguing about it online) I figure Terezi counts enough to be included. Just don't get too funny with your business, see? I don't know why I said that.

Only issue I can see is the whole Seer of Minds thing. Seems a bit too..."can figure things out without actually investigating" feel to it? Might need a bit of clarification on what that can do.
