And I just realized from the recap that Earth protected Crystal Heart with the same fervour that Spectre protected his fancy tree card from his previous two duels.

That asshole really is Earth's template.

This means that half the Lost Incident victims are currently vegetables at best.

Half? Who's the 3rd one?

If Windy's human isn't actually dead that's the state he's likely to be in IMO.

Blood Shepherd had the car accident, though that doesn't necessarily mean he's Windy's Origin.

Has there been an Ushio reference yet? That guy is everywhere.

Not surprised that Blood Shepherd won, but I am surprised they called off demoting Ghost Girl.

And Aoi changes her name and look once again, this time to Blue Maiden. Lets hope that now that she's paired with Aqua, her win / loss record will improve.

Alright, I like the new look more than the original. Feels more like it extends her development more than simply Blue Girl did, coming to equilibrium between both her former identities.

If nothing else, she's going to come out of this with a new Skill? I believe she's gonna perform well as a team.

I enjoyed Emma's side of the duel but not so much Blood Shepard's since pretty much every move he made was blatantly designed to perfectly counter exactly what his opponent was doing. Nothing new for the franchise of course, but pretty darn inorganic all the same. I didn't feel like the backstory had much weight to it either. Would've worked better if the duel was a two-parter to flesh it out a bit more, but this show is slow-paced enough as-is.

Aoi's new avatar looks very Pretty Cure-esque. I wonder if her deck's going to get completely overhauled or if she'll get like a Cyverse Trickstar sub-archetype that can coexist with her existing monsters like how ARC-V Crow had both Assault Black Feathers and his OG Black Feathers. It's nice to see Yusaku being less of a stick in the mud wrt working with others now, but I hope this doesn't turn out like the last time the show had a Power Trio shot (even if this one feels much more definitive).

I just need a scene now of all six protagonists crammed into the hotdog truck now.

I saw someone jokingly suggest an Aqours sub-group for Trickstar.

I found their dad to be a terrible person tbh. He pretty much has every reason to hate him.

who here thinks that Earth will somehow infiltrate Go Cyborgizuka?

Amusingly enough when we first saw the Igni in the first episode I thought that Go would end up partnering with Earth due to design similarities (just like with Aoi and Aqua), and look how that turned out!

I am actually mostly saying it because Earth reminded him of his own playstyle. And the shape.

I think Earth is dead so I'm not expecting him to be relevant anymore except as a motivator for some of the cast.

Being more serious, Blood Shepard gets beat by Revolver, but still insists on fighting alone. Next chapter he's going up against Lightning himself, and that likely won't end well.

So what retro trap card will Revolver use next? Negate Attack, Torrential Tribute, Solemn Judgement, Bottomless Trap Hole?

Shepherd just defined the duel with his post-Duel words to Revolver: "I don't need your advice". He's getting his ass kicked by a Link Spell.

He'll probably get past Judgement Arrows then get punked by a stronger version.
