[I approach this Roland fella with the others.] "Uhh, I'm Eliot, you probably knew that." [...wait, would he? Besides the whole currently-not-a-Smeargle thing.] "...uhh, yea, thank you for comin' with us!" [Wait, shit, we can't scalp any funds with him around, fuck.]

"Nice to meet you guys. I don't actually know who you all are, just heard stuff aboutcha." Roland clarifies.

"U-Uh, nice to meet you" the Raboot with the tomboyish voice said. "I'm Royal. You... Probably haven't heard of me, I sort of just got here."

"Hmm... sounds reasonable. ...It is slightly embarassing for someone such as me to admit, especially as I am asking you to kill someone, but in these times I must be prudent with my investments. I may have to pay you in two instalments..."

Denalsi, Docks

"Mischief magnets... well, some of us are certainly electromagnets."

Despite Mila's attempts at levity, Autumn simply stares the Raichu dead in the eyes, with only the barest twitch on her lip as she wonders what she'd gotten herself into with this relationship. Mila can't help but sigh, shaking her head and muttering to herself, "tough crowd, huh?"

"Roland, was it?" Autumn turns away from her companion to talk to the new arrival. At least he seems like a native, she's not sure how many sudden new arrivals she could handle right now. Thinking about it, she makes a mental note to take some time to help everyone adjust at one point or another, maybe run down the standards of how things work in Foxfell, if not everywhere else. She apparently can't trust everyone to know that eating meat is frowned upon.

"Is there anywhere in particular you were told to take us, or just to keep us company while we look?"

"Well, Your Highness, I was told to ensure that you all reached Lucifuge's place safely. That is my main mission as of right now. Whether or not I'll stick around afterwards… we'll have to see."

Well, hey, thanks for joining us for this. (I say to Roland.) So do you already know where we were going to check for this guy first?

Silversand

Sure thing, let's get goin'. (Marsha says, heading off.)

(Madeline, having quelled the commotion on the beach, shoots another glance (one that's difficult to tell if she's intrigued or suspicious) at the Swampert and Gallade as they leave.)

(The Silversand Town Hall seems very busy today. A number of Pokémon (whom Marsha quickly recognizes as Silversand residents) are gathered around in front of it discussing things quite loudly.)

Dang, I've never seen things ovah heres be this crazy since those two families' property dispute a few years ago. (Marsha remarks as she tries to get inside the town hall while making sure Marlon can as well. The interior of the town hall is just as crowded as it is outside.)

Silversand

I keep myself steady as I hobble into the Town Hall and look out at the rather oddly busy interior (and for that matter, just outside . Marsha says that this hasn't happened in a while. I'm going to go on a limb and assume that...

I'm guessing this is related to the rebuilding efforts here in town? Come on, let's go find someone.

I turn myself to try and go into the direction of the first town official I can find. Assuming that can be easily done.

"Oh, that reminds me..." [I reach into my bag and pull the map out that we snatched from Burgiss (or Lihn...Lihn Burgiss, a hard name for a hard lady, I guess).] "There may be a couple towns we might need to check out if he's not at the old Bedsheets. I, I think if you're with the guild and you're gonna be with us, maybe you should have this." [I hold it out for Roland to grab. A part of me wants to keep it to myself, but I don't know if I can trust myself to not fuck this up, especially with what's been afflicting me.] Anyone who checks the map would be able to see they're quite close to their first destination.

I don't mind how, just as long as you can pay when the job's done. (Sure, it may be a bit rude of me to offer quite a bit of money for a disgraced leader, but I'm sure she has enough money to spare.)

(I was deep in thought about this Serris situation during the whole trip, that I didn't notice the Alolan Marowak until after he introduced himself. I made myself known to him.) My apologies if I haven't introduced myself earlier. Call me Grigori.

"Yea, I just said, hehe." [Oh, yea, the carnival's right there, ain't it.] "We should be close, right?"

[I look up into the darkening sky...as nice as the view is, we're gonna need to get a move on if we want to reach the guy in a timely manner. Might as well set the trend, I guess.] "We can, uhh, talk some more on the way there actually." [I start walking towards shore, slowly enough to where the others can easily follow before we really begin the trek.]

Yeah, let's get going before it gets too dark. (Delilah says. She starts heading for shore herself, and I follow suit. I can't help but wonder just how the Bedsheets are going to look at this point after it's been so long since we've been there.)

Silversand

(Marsha similarly makes her way through the crowd in search of someone, reaching the currently empty reception desk. She rings the bell sitting on the desk.) Yo!

Town hall

After moments of silence a Scolipede slinks his way up to the desk to meet the two of us

Oh hello there...Ms. Guilford, and...who might you be?

Oh, I'm her boyfriend. Name's Marlon, good to meet you.

Charmed...

After scuttling back a bit to make sure he was ready the official scuttles back to begin.

Now, what seems to be the issue here?

(From what I heard earlier, the most likely place is a, presumably, abandoned hotel with a name that would not be out of place in a shitty porno. All I can hope for is not running into any more serial killers, but you never know. Without another word, I followed the group to wherever they go.)

"... So...." he tried to make conversation, "If I'm gathering from what I was told right, this island's where it all began for a lot of you, so to speak?"

"Yep! Hell, uhh, who brought up the ruins? We swung near them a couple of times, but I never thought to go back and see 'em..." [God, it's been so long, hasn't it.]

[Oh, yea, didn't I literally fucking cry day one? Like wowzers.]

Oh, Mila was the one who originally brought it up. (I tell Eliot.)

Silverand Town Hall

Heya, Lonnie. (Marsha says to the Scolipede.) I just wanted ta talk about me...sorta droppin' off the face of the earth. I ended up not even thinkin' about tellin' yas I'd be away longer than I thought, even when I didn't have stuff goin' on. So I just wanted ta come in and apologize for that.

(Then she adds:) Also...uh...what da heck's goin' on heres right now? Been ages since I've seen this place be this busy.

Silversand Hall

Lonnie listens to Marsha's apology and nods once he gets all of it processed in his head.

Oh my...I see. If I may be frank, Miss Guilford, we are all actually quite impressed with the group you aligned youself with. Word travels pretty fast about the defenders of our town, after all, and I must say...for a simple town official like myself I'd never think to get involved with crazy shenanigans like those. You're certainly forgiven, and you can also certainly have a position back on the beach if you ever need it.

Lonnie looks to his left, then generally around the hall as he continues.

Ah...yes. The reason why this place is crowded today. You see, the Mayor wants to get rebuilding efforts fast-tracked. Since you left, I'd say that things...certainly haven't been going as smoothly. Not like there have actual problems, per se, alot of this issue is struggling to get some aspects off the ground, you know?

What kind of problems with getting this off the ground?

"The ruins..."

Royal stroked his chin.

"Run by me again what that place's significance was?"

Denalsi, on the path

"I'm not sure myself. We never had a chance to explore it, we just... showed up by it. I don't even know what it was originally— hell, maybe we should take up archaeology instead. Might get us back, and hopefully less dangerous than all of this mess."

"Actually, I think I could get you a book. I remember reading some stories in the castle library when I was younger... Elasra I think was her author, she'd gone and dug up sites across the islands. I never got a chance to go see any of the places she talked about..."

Keeping to the path as the conversation continued, Mila's gaze drifted over towards a copse of trees to her left. Thinking about it now, it felt strange to be lacking the history of this place. Back home, she'd at least be able to say for how long people had lived in an area, if not something about what was done and who fought for control of the land. Here... the land felt as new as she was, even though she knew that wasn't the case. Maybe exploring those ruins would tell her something, if not about what brought them here and how to get back, maybe something about the history she'd never explored before. A gust of wind distracted her, though, chilling her and causing the Raichu to stop for a moment, shivering and rubbing her paws against her forearms from the sudden drop in temperature.

"Hhhh... maybe you should get me a coat instead of a book."

"Aww... here, stick with me for now. Let's keep the pace up."

Draping a paw over Mila's shoulder, Autumn hugged her close as they journeyed, keeping her companion warm through her natural body heat and their proximity to each other. For a moment, the Braixen considered using something as a makeshift torch, but it wasn't dark enough yet to warrant taking the time (and smoke and soot was hardly as romantic, anyways).

Denalsi, Wandrin' Around

"There may or may not be some graffiti on there, just wanna say." [I snicker to myself a little, though I doubt it'd still be there considering, well, weather. It was bound to have rained while it was gone, though I'm willing to bet it would've slagged off into a bunch of dry flakes in the rain.]

"...so where do we wanna go when we're done with all this? Royal, we told you about where we all went...what's got your, uhh—what's gotcha curious?"

"Ah, so the place of the very beginning, then."

Royal thought about Eliot's question.

"Once we're done investigating all this? Well, that Silversand is on Denalsi too, isn't it? Sounds like a nice place, crazy cat people and vengeful spirits aside. If we're gonna chill for a bit once we take care of this, that place sounds nice. The carnival and the underground city sound like points of interest too. The Orichalcum place also sounds cool... Eh whatever you all think is good, I'm just following at this point."

"This feels like coming in to a fandom late."

The town looks like an amusement park built by cavemen. Or cavemon; Scarlett guesses sordidly. She glances at all the sights as the marowak leads them off to what she presumes is The Bedsheets. She sees some of the other peo- pokemon talking up-front, but ignores them in favor of what's going on around her. It's still so weird to see a ferris wheel carved from bricks and stone or the rugged dirt pathway mixing with organized street signs and buildings. How is she supposed to get used to this?

To Bedsheets

Silversand's a really nice place, yeah. (I say to Royal.) But I'm fine with wherever you guys decide to go to after this. (Given everything I just went through, I don't find myself wanting to go off by myself for a while, even if I have one other person with me.)

Wow, thank yas! (Marsha says, a bit surprised (albeit pleasantly so) that they would still be willing to give her position back.) Dunno if I'll need it back right now, though, just 'cause I dunno where I'll be the next few days. 'Sides, that Inteleon ya got out there now looks pretty capable, anyway. Did ya replace Del, too?
