Regarding the Jojo stands, Black Sabbath's band name was from the official English title of a Mario Bava movie by the same name, Kraftwerk is simply German for power plant and Duran Duran was originally a character in Barbarella. I think Jojo's English licensor is just overly careful by changing the stand and some of the character names.
A Finnish band HIM had a dispute with an American fusion-jazz band by the same name but not with Cartoon Network, of which Powerpuff Girls had a villain by the same name (originally HIM was named His Infernal Majesty). To my understanding registering a band name doesn't mean you own its use in every other media as well. There are even bands named after song titles, like Judas Priest after Bob Dylan's The Ballad of Frankie Lee and Judas Priest.

I was wondering (since she filmed it at their restaurant), would the restaurant be in their right to ban her from further visits?
Optimism is a duty.If they asked her to leave then yeah, they could,I doubt they did though
New theme music also a boxDoubt they did, it didn't look like she was there during a particuarly busy hour or anything, she likely didn't harass staff, and its entirely possible she politely kept her actual filming and script reading to times when the staff was not present (Probably why its filmed outside, no one would want to eat outside in the cold fall air).
The staff probably had and still have no idea what she was even filming.
Don't you have to ask permission to film, though? I was in a tv program once, and they had to ask permission for everything. If you want to film on a train, the tv station even has to pay for the privilege. That was in the Netherlands, not sure how it works in the US.
Optimism is a duty.Yeah, you have to ask permission, to which I'd assume most minimum wage waiters at a Cheesecake Factory on a Monday at 11 am wouldn't care and aren't paid enough to ask further questions.
"Yeah, sure, we won't bother you as long as you don't disturb the other customers if we get any."
I mean, sure, if its a massive film production crew and stuff, you'd probably have to go through corperate and rent out the restaurant. But if its one woman (maybe two) sitting at a table alone with her camera, who cares?
Nice, new video to watch.
Also WcDonald's still get me. It's so prevalent in so many unrelated anime that it might as well be a pseudo-brand lol
This feels like a missed opportunity at a Halloween episode.
To be fair, I don't think PBS renewed it for another order of episodes until it would have been too late to have it for Halloween.
But, at the same time, one of the most famous Christmas Stories is also a Ghost Story so, -shrug-.
> This feels like a missed opportunity at a Halloween episode.
Agreed, although in England ghostly themed things are actually fitting for Christmas thanks to the tradition of Christmas ghost stories like A Christmas Carol
New theme music also a boxThese were released only on facebook for a while i think so maybe it was released on halloween there.
Nope. The Facebook episodes have been consistent with the You Tube releases.
Well, Ackshtually, the ghost writer episode was released on Facebook on Oct 26. So yes, this was a Halloween episode released late for Youtube.
Huh, my facebook feed lied to me.
Then again, its entirely possible that I might have misremembered and only saw it after Halloween, but never checked the date for it.
There's a new its lit on facebook. About the personifications of Death.
That Death Kids tag makes me wonder if anyone's written Death in relation to fashion or clothes making.
Really interesting in that this was essentially a companion piece to the Loose Canon episode on the same-ish topic, feel like watching the It's Lit episode and then going over to Loose Canon would be a good watch order of the two.

Get it in, Bumblebee. ;)
Don't forget, Godzilla's coming *wink*
Gonna be pretty disappointed if in the movie, each monster doesn't get a love interest. Or, even better, enter into a poly relationship with each other
Hmmm. A friend of Doug collabs with an enemy of Doug.

You know, I'm pretty sure she's got many more productive things to do and be than an enemy of Doug Walker. Namely, everything she's doing right now.
It seems like she just no longer cares about CA, and it's better that way. She's having way too much fun for that right now.
That's the thing, simply mentioning a product is not something that people usually get sued over. I mean the question's come up a few times in the writer's forums about whether or not it's a good idea to mention Mc Donald's or something. And like, they're not usually looking into every single little piece of media that mentions them. Because that's a waste of time, and looking at Mattel, a waste of money and PR to spend suing someone if an author say, blows up a Macy's or something in their work. Most people only get sued when the thing criticizing a major brand gets big enough to be noticed by huge amounts of people. Such as the Barbie song.
I mean, if your media is based in the real world, it's kind of odd to not mention real places or brands. (Which makes a lot of Japanese media funny as either the original creators or translators come up with some barely a cover names for the products mentioned in the stories.)
