I mean, I'm sure more there would be more than one person finds the idea of a cosmic being whacking people with his surfboard to be amusing
×3
I remember them saying the surfboard was the problem.
Same with "too much ram" with Johnny.
I think he also uses the surfboard as a shield sometimes.
It's a pretty big surfboard.
Is that by Jason Aaron, is he still controversial?
That's already been debunked, Dark Phoenix is a thing.
I'm cool with Surfer, especiall with the surfboard. If RWBY (no shade) could make a minor character with a hoverboard be able to fight, a video game can.
Yea, I'm fairly certain Mr. Radd's hypothetical moveset doesn't have to entirely rely on smacking people with his surfboard.
Even though I'm sure would there are plenty of people who are ok with that concept & as I'm just as certain than would more people complaining about Surfer not using his cosmic powers for his moveset.
That's actually kinda impressive for a game that came out nearly 5 years later on the last-gen console.
MVCI, should be noted, outsold UMVC 3 by .3 million units.
I still find that to be weird & I seriously doubt it because it had a Story Mode like Max said.
UMVC 3 had a lot of controversy at the time because it came out 9 months later after the vanilla version. Now it's ok the like the game in hindsight
To be fair, the Tohoku earthquake was a thing.
Geez, can they put a port of Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 on Switch?
A port of Darkstalkers: Resurrection on not the PS 3/360 would be nice, too. Barely relevant, but I still cant believe that that never hit Steam.

How does it debunk something they said?

I thought people just wanted a new modern 2.5D Darkstalkers game? Thye got the models for Jedah, Morrigan, Felicia and Hsien-Ko.
All you gotta do is make 13 new 3D models, add more blood, pull a Capcom and add 4 new characters, then put 4 as DLC, and BAM.
Darkstalkers 4.
I'm wondering why Infinite outsold Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3?
It's just odd considering how much was stacked against Infinite.
I also want to note that selling a million copies is not an indicator of a game not selling well. Publishers just have very high expectations these days. (though it is justified a bit as game development is way too expensive these days for AAA games)
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Infinite was a new game and not an update like Ultimate.
And add 21 new models for Midnight Bliss, 21 for Hell Dunk, 21 for Pharaoh's Curse
And the 4 DLC characters who will require a total of 12 models
Story modes sell. Even if it wasnt the best, it not a ton of people will care; they just wanna see their favorite characters do things.
People do want a new Darkstalkers. But, we did get a nice package for the old ones that never got ported to my preferred platform. I dont actually have a copy of 3 for anything.
MvCI did better because people wanted a new MvC, plain and simple. The userbase didnt start as strong Cspcom wanted, support died (and may have been dead from day one on the Marvel side) and the game fell out, but people were excited for its release.

You wouldn't know that from the way the game was treated from the community. I'll never forget how much shit I've gotten during those times.
Geez, can they put a port of Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 on Switch?
Yes, that did affect the development to some extent but ultimately they had a choice between releasing Ultimate in Fall of that year or Summer of the next. I can't remember why they didn't choose the latter.
And there's no real reason UMVC 3 to be on Switch at this point other than maybe not making the money it takes to port it over.
It was never released on Steam? I never knew that
Because the developer already said Torch's flames wouldn't be that hard to implement if Phoenix can do the exact same thing. The whole reason why Johnny isn't in the game is because they've believed Super Skrull was a good enough representation & none of the FF were all that exciting to them. I disagree about that Super Skrull statement.
All you gotta do is make 13 new 3D models, add more blood, pull a Capcom and add 4 new characters, then put 4 as DLC, and BAM.
Darkstalkers 4.
I doubt it's that simple & I'm not even entirely sure if they're allowed to recycle characters model from other games. The only game I can think of that has done that is SF X Tekken with Ultra SF IV.
Still, I do fail to see why Darkstalker can't be a thing when Samsho is a thing.
Spider-Man & Strider didn't do anything but I'll forever appreciate that X was the one who ultimately defeated Ultron Omega. That's something special considering how they were treated Mega Man back MVC 3's time.
I still like Dante's fight with Jedah, Ryu & Hulk teaming up, & fleshing Hiryu's background more. Too bad Hiryu's background is non-canon because of the game's nature
Ultimate sold less than Infinite, because you have to realize it was a new edition released the same year as the original. If you look at MVC 3 vanilla's sales, it's 2.2 Million. Ontop of the 1 Million the PS 4/Xbone/PC ports of Ultimate sold. So really, it's more like 4.4 Million versus Infinite's 1.5 Million (MVC 3: 2.2 Mil, UMVC 3 last gen: 1.2 Mil, UMVC 3: modern ports 1 Mil)

A corpse should be left well enough alone...Yup, that's why the original low ball projected sales for Infinite was 2 Million, since that's around how much vanilla MVC 3 sold.

How often do people who buy fighting games play the story mode? I recall watching a video that said that of the people who played MK 11, only 32% played and completed the story mode.
If nothing else, have fun with the flying surfboard.
