This is my Clypit account, and all through today I worked on some songs demos, including rerecording three songs I'd done before and deleted because these new recordings are better.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?We just had our last performance of the opera. After tech rehearsals until midnight every day for the past week (and I still had to get all my homework done!) Brb gonna go sleep for 5,000 years.
I'm technically on hiatus now (see Absent Tropers) but I have something I'm just burning to announce. So my choir is performing with the New York Philharmonic. Which is already pretty legit. But out of all the pieces to perform, we'll be performing the piece that I have a solo in.
I am singing a solo with the New York Philharmonic. Like holy shit.

Good luck to ya, hun!
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Well well, I can't believe I haven't posted here before (though it may be because I mainly lurk in Writer's Block)! I have been writing and composing songs for over a decade, staying in the realm of electronic music because I do not play any instruments that well (unless a keyboard counts). My songs fall mainly on the techno to dance to new age and folk spectrum, and many pertain to spiritual, magic, or outright dark topics, hence why I go by the stage name Striga (Latin for witch). I don't have any official albums yet, but I'm kind of working on getting my first one out; have been mixing and mastering a few of my songs in preparation. To be honest, I'm not completely sure about how to go about the whole album-producing/promoting practice...
I do occasionally perform at open mics and such though, and it's odd because I'm typically the only performer without an instrument - I just bring along the background music and sing along. I consider myself a pretty decent singer (the couple of years of lessons under a vocal coach helped), so that at least helps a little performance-wise. Though a handful of my songs are instrumental as well, which are obviously harder to perform.
I have a few songs on my Souncloud page to give you an idea of my style. I use the song Walking (which was recorded/mixed in a studio) as my basic demo - and it will be the first song on my first album; the songs Higher Powernote , Every Day Is Halloweennote , Mushroom Songnote , and Who Will Save Menote cover the rest of the spectrum. Angel Warrior and Romance Under a Full Moon are instrumental; the latter is even intended for a video game I may or may not develop someday, hence why it loops.
But yeah, I look forward to getting more involved with the community here and such...

Come, my child of the devil. Your mother is calling you. Hear my call in Hell's grand hall, where all our dreams come true.NY Philharmonic concert went well. The crowd was huge. Like thousands of people huge. It was one of the free outdoor concerts they hold in Central Park in the summer that are always packed
I just realized that I haven't done any personal projects in a while, since I've been so busy practicing music for ensembles and shows. So I decided to work on my folk song repertoire, since those songs are always fun to sing they were some of the first songs I learned ages ago. Since I haven't posted a voice recording in a while, Exhibit A
I'm gonna brush up some of my favorite arias too
I'm also messing around with composing some stuff, which I might share later if it comes out decent.

Yo! I've talked about it on some of the other parts of the forum before, but I'm an electronic music producer. Most of my releases are in the wild as Trevor Whatevr. I use a website called Audiotool and occasionally other bits of software to make my stuff, I've put out three full-length albums and five extended plays, I made the soundtrack to an indie college flick earlier this year, and I'm slowly but surely setting the foundations for my fourth album.
If you're curious, you can check out my stuff on Bandcamp, Audiotool or SoundCloud.
oh, that's why I need this binary mind // ⌘Oh, hey, my Shapes and Forms comrade appears! :3
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception. My high school canceled vocal music courses, and now I'm disappointed.
On the bright side, I can focus on the flute a bit more since I'm taking instrumental music instead.
Oh look, a ghost!I have a question. I like writing lyrics (a lot; I have a couple dozen ranging from sappy love songs to rageaholic edgelord stuff), and now I really want to make an actual album pulling inspiration from Voicians, Celldweller, and Starset. I tinker in my spare time, but I'm not great at structuring songs and I don't have a lot of spare time, working 40 hours a week at McDonald's. Would anyone be interested in helping me? I want the album to be more on the hope / willpower side, with a few mournful songs. No angery stuff. The "visceral turn" is becoming rather cliche for rock and electronic works.
they butchered the Punk Punk article >:/Released a new EP to support the double album coming out in a few weeks. Indie rock, lo-fi, krautrock, emo.
"If you spend all your heart / On something that has died / You are not alive and that can't be a life"And here's the double album. I Have a Deep Loathing Towards the Rest of This Town. It's a mix of all these elements like indie pop, lo-fi, noise rock, queercore, post-rock, krautrock, and even drone. If any of that sounds appealing, I recommend checking it out.
Should note that technically, as of the time I'm writing this, it's not out yet. It will, however, be officially released onto Bandcamp tonight at midnight EST, so watch out for that.
"If you spend all your heart / On something that has died / You are not alive and that can't be a life"Hi! I play drum kit and oboe but my main thing is singing and I compose a bit too. I'm guessing I belong in here?

I used to plug my deviantart here but turns out the link was too long.I was trying to kickstart a band a few years back, but no one in there was as committed as I was. Shame, I wrote some material for a concept album as well.
Otherwise I play bass as my primary instrument. I also know a bit of guitar and piano, and am trying to figure out a synthesizer for possible future use.
I've played the piano off and on since I was 9 and sung in various choirs. Currently, I'm in a church choir and a local men's choir. I also compose music, primarily for thhe piano but also for video game systems (I have an entire playlist on You Tube of things that I've written or arranged in Fami Tracker, for one).
I've been experimenting with a few online jam session softwares, and I was wondering if there was any interest in doing meet ups to play music together. This is completely new to me, so the details have not been worked out and we can move this to another thread, but I wanted to throw it out there. (I play clarinet and a bit of ukulele and piano)
Mae govannen: I'm singer-songwriter with a You Tube channel (@ Alkali Earth Metal; but you'll only get science videos unless you specifically search channels)! I've been playing piano classically for about 10 years and I've had a voice coach for a few months. So yeah!
Full moon is on the sky and he's not a man anymoreI'm Shmatt or Matt, either one works.
I am a composer, songwriter, singer and a guitarist (also a little bit of piano from my earlier years in college). I am very influenced by video game soundtracks and more thematic music; Bruce Faulconer and Toby Fox were the ones who really made me want to do music. Particularly good at high-tempo and intense music but not so much on the other end. I did a scholarship since I was highly regarded for my excellences in compositions and songwriting (I have no idea how well I did on my scholarship since I'm lazy and just skimmed through the results). I'm still learning and practicing guitar to this day.
"I know my faults, my downsides. More than you know." -Red VoxSo I’m a hobbyist composer for band. I’m currently working on a song for a high school-level group. I just don’t really know what range all the instruments have. Baritone I play, but the rest? No clue.
So my main question is, are trumpets more comfortable playing from C on the staff down to C below or up to C above the staff? I’m talking the average high schooler, not professionals.
“Always expect the worst. That way you can never be disappointed.” - John Flanagan
I have released my first recorder composition album, Tribute to Tokyo on a pay-what-you-want basis. The title is chosen is because listening to the music that I bought during my trip to Japan last October (38th Music Media-Mix Market, to be specific) has inspired me to start doing recorder music seriously again.
On a related note, I wonder what is the limit of recorder composition, artistic wise. Based on that album, I think the answer is none. I hope that I will compose more recorder music in the future.
