Borderlands 3

If you're looking for the words "Borderlands 4" you won't find it, but it does mention "development in the next installment in the Borderlands franchise."

Which could mean B4 or it could mean that "Borderlands Choose Your Own Adventure" series whose name I don't remember or care about.

I did like Tales from the Borderlands tbh. The first one, that is.

I've not heard good things about New Tales, but I honestly don't know. Trailer wasn't super promising, but I remember never seeing the trailer for Tales and I thought E1 was great

I loved the first Tales (to the point I'm a little sad only one of the characters got a role in 3). New Tales didn't have that je ne sais quoi, but it was still fun.

Basically the latter has that "yeah, I guess that's a neat spinoff, if you want some more story", but the first was absolutely incredible. On par, or perhaps even better than, the mainline series games (this comes from someone who didn't play the first Tales until just before 3 came out and it became available again after the fallout from Telltale Games put it back on Steam et al).

I actually find the lore of the Borderlands universe pretty interesting. But certain story.... Decisions from 3 have me a little tepid towards the foreground plot.
