As someone who loves youkai, I am pleased with what the trailer showcases: Wanyuudo, Yuki-Onna, Jorougumo, something that looks kind of like an Umibouzu...I'm intrigued.

"Anjin" means "pilot." The real-life William Adams was referred to as "Miura Anjin" by the Japanese.

The usage of 3d cell-shaded models doesn't blend very well, maybe it should have been full 2D. Otherwise, it was kind neat.

So Nioh has gone gold and will be launching on scheduled. Also there's going to be a live stream on January 20. Also, some more gameplay have been posted by the games press.

Demo is now playable, killed the boss but it killed me like 4 times before I got her. You one regular stage and one twilight stage, and Tachibana Muneshige.

I've hit a huge roadblock in the Twilight Mission against the Tenma-Taro miniboss. Guy is just an absolute monster with a ton of health, really fast and varied attacks, and huge damage.

I'm not even touching that place until I get the Tachibana set that I currently have at level 20 with blue rarity. Then I'll throw my face into the brick wall.
