Yo, I'm reading the recap page and now everyone has superpowers? When the fuck did Riverdale get fun again?

Season 6 my man. The main villain is British Randall Flagg - who also sings.

The upcoming Season 7, dropping early 2023, will be the series' last.

CW is getting snapped out of existence.

Seven seasons isn't bad.

The CW's CEO Mark Pedowitz agrees with that sentiment:

Pedowitz also indicated that “Riverdale” Season 7 would likely contain as many episodes as earlier seasons.

“We have not declared how many episodes yet. But I do not believe it will be a shortened season. It goes back to what I said earlier: I am a big believer in attempting to give series that have had long runs and appropriate send off,” he said.

According to Pedowitz, those on the Archie Comics side are pleased with the decision to end the show.

“We had a long conversation with Roberto [Aguirre-Sacasa, “Riverdale” executive producer and Archie Comics [chief creative officer] yesterday, who’s thrilled by this news. And we’re going to treat the show in the manner it deserves. It was an iconic pop culture star, and we want to make sure it goes out the right way and that is the decision. I think they choose that seven years is the right amount, and we want to do the right thing. That’s a personal thing. As a fan myself. I do want to do what’s right for the show.”

With no CW and no more Riverdale, TV will be a lot more boring going forward.

I did not get past the first season, but I semi-ironically agree with ^. What other show will fill the deranged camp vacuum Riverdale inherited from Glee?

Yeah, I didn't bother continuing with the show past the first few episodes but my goodness I'm going to miss watching bonkers out-of-context clips and probably don't make sense even in context.

I have amazing news for you. Though the most deranged camp show of the decade will die, the successor has been found. Teen Wolf is coming back. With a movie and a spinoff TV series. Going by how the original MTV series was, I am so excited.

They had better dial it up for the last season. They teased a straight up Final Fantasy style "phantom train" being summoned forth by Perkins, so they better show it. If this is the end, I expect the camp and the batshit to be dialed up as far as it can go. Dare I hope this ends with a giant squid in Riverdale town square...?

It's like, after dealing with real, serious people around me all day long, especially at work, I can just sit down, watch some Riverdale, and escape from it all.
