This E3 2021 is going to be great.
...People will still complain as usual.
Who here is excited for the next E3?
Mostly interested in what Nintendo has to show this year.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!I always enjoy E3. I am excited.......what days are they this year?
Sanity is the Lie, there is only Madness.I believe it will be from 6/12 to 6/15.
As for things I’m looking forward to...
- Next Smash Bros. DLC fighter. No idea who to expect this time - I’m going to go out on a limb and say Phoenix Wright or Doctor Eggman, but I’m probably wrong.
- New info on the upcoming Pokémon games. The Sinnoh remakes are the more immediate concern, but I’m not sure how much new stuff will be added, so that might be pretty sedate. Legends, however, has a lot of questions surrounding it, so I’m looking forward to seeing what they reveal.
- Breath of the Wild sequel. It’s been what, two years since the first trailer dropped? I can only imagine they’ll have something they can actually show now. I at least hope they give us the title.
- Metroid Prime 4. I’m not really a huge Metroid fan, but I’m nonetheless interested in this one, so I’m hoping we get some stuff. I’ll admit I have no idea if they’ll be ready to reveal something now, though.
- Fire Emblem stuff. I feel like the time is about right for a new Fire Emblem announcement, going by past release schedules, and I imagine that they could use Three Houses’s engine to develop it. I’m hoping for either a Genealogy or a Binding Blade remake, though I wouldn’t say no to a Three Houses sequel of some kind. And of course, they could also try something entirely new.
- Ace Attorney. The Great Ace Attorney compilation will arrive in just a couple months, so I don’t really have anything in particular I want to see about that. If I recalled however, there was a leak saying we would get that that also said there was a brand new title coming, so I’m hoping for an announcement on that front. Mind you, I’d probably be satisfied with just GAA.
- Shin Megami Tensei. I’m not really into the mainline games, but what little they’ve shown of V looks intriguing, so I’d love to see something more concrete there. I’m also hoping for something Persona related.
- Sonic the Hedgehog. Not actually something I’m interested in playing right now, but I’m always curious (morbidly so, perhaps) to see where things are going for Sonic, so I’m interested to see if Sega has anything up their sleeve.
- This is a long shot, but I’m kind of hoping for a Kingdom Hearts teaser. Nomura said the series would be taking a break this year, so I don’t expect a full-on announcement or anything, but I’m holding out hope that they may have decided to drop a sliver of a hint to what the future has in store. I’m probably going to be disappointed, though.
- Danganronpa, maybe? No idea if they’re planning on making a new game or if E3 is the place they would reveal it, but I suppose I’m always on the lookout regardless.
I think that’s about all I’m personally excited for, though there’s plenty of other stuff that could be interesting.

Oh God! Natural light! After a year off, I'm definitely excited to see what's coming up from everybody. And mostly who the next Smash character is.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonMy wishes:
Nintendo:
- Anything about the Bot W sequel, if only a name since I doubt that it will just be called Bot W 2
- Something on Project:Triangle Strategy
- Geno for Smash with a HD remaster of SMRPG
Ubisoft:
- A release date for the Anno 1800 Tourism DLC
- A new Rayman

I always look forward to E3, as much as I look forward to PAX, or Gamescom, or any other showcase. It's nice to see what's upcoming.
I'm hoping that there'll be some Forza title announced this year. Probably going to be Motorsport, since that's where the cycle is at the moment and it would be an ideal Series X showcase, but I'll be pleasantly surprised if they announced a new Horizon :)
I'll watch the Nintendo showcase on the offchance we get a Xenoblade announcement.
Pretty much anything else is gravy.
I'll definitely be watching whatever Nintendo is presenting. My biggest hope is that we will get information on Shin Megami Tensei V.
I feel like both Smash characters will be revealed this time, like the last E3.
It's been 3000 years…I'm going to make a couple of points off of Karkat's post:
The Pokemon Company will be doing their own version of a Direct (Pokemon Presents) likely the week prior to E3 (the week of June 1st) like they normally do. Any new info during E3 itself will build off that info.
Do not expect Prime 4 at this year's E3. It has only been two and a half years since it rebooted at Retro and is unlikely to be here. Next year is much more likely.
There have been insiders who are adamant Metroid 5 (2D Metroid specifically) is incoming, but take that with a grain of salt.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."I’m kinda wondering if they’ll make a Switch port for the Metroid II remake. You’d think that would be an easy holdover.
I do hope the 3D Donkey Kong rumor is real, that would be a neat new avenue for the series.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonA 2D Metroid is far more likely than Prime 4 IMO. Mercury Stream hasn't released much of anything since Samus Returns and the timeline checks out for a new game to be revealed.
I've heard that recent developments in the rumor suggest it's 2D.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?At least we know now which indie bug-themed Metroidvania game won't be present at E3. Hollow Knight: Silksong
(Inhales)
FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.....
A new 2D Metroid would be great. However, I'm still not a huge fan of 3D graphics in 2D, even though Bloodstain has helped me overcome a little of my prejudice.
That said, I really hope it would be a Metroid 5 instead of a Super remake (which wouldn't make much sense considering anyone with Nintendo Switch Online can play the original), but you never know how crazy Nintendo can be when it comes to Metroid.
... And that's called jazz!Xbox and Bethesda showcase; June 13th at 10 am PDT.
From what I'm hearing, the planet shown in the image is the planet used in the original Starfield teaser from 3 years ago. It looks like Starfield is confirmed for Xbox's E3.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."I know at one point we talked about watching it in a group Zoom call, I'd be down for doing that.
FFXVI is likely not going to be here since it wasn't mentioned. I suspect if it is going to show up anywhere, it'll be when Sony does their thing.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."I'm gonna tentatively hazard a guess that the world premiere from Eidos is going to be the next Tomb Raider title.
It's the franchise's twenty-fifth anniversary this year, and they have been doing some stuff for it over social media.
"If you are going through hell, keep going." - Winston ChurchillI really should play the Tomb Raider reboot. I only played the 1996 original and it’s really aged.
