Somewhere along an unfamiliar road.

Sophie turned around, herself almost instinctively falling back into her own fighting stance, but when she saw the firearms being raised, she stopped and lowered her arms again. "She threatened to break my legs," she began matter-of-factly, pointing at Seiga, "and she tried to eat me," her finger moved to Yoshika. "And then they wanted to catch me and use me as bait for these 'zohm-bees'. And their names aren't Tomoko or Makoto."

The library

Ben's awe at having scanned another new alien subsided when the woman entered the library and were immediately targeted by the militia. Normally he would object, but desperate times called for these measures, as much as he didn't want to admit it. He blinked a couple of times at the woman, then looked at the militia. "I think it's okay, she doesn't look like a zombie," he muttered. "And she looks just as flustered as we are right now. Bet you're wanting an explanation. New to the city?" he asked.

Skies Above the City - a different note

Caro successfully got the creatures all together like before and Sans was about to release the blaster once more but then he faintly heard a sound coming from behind them, he glanced behind him and spotted two conical, blue creatures vaguely similar to the ones on the ground and they were about to shoot some sort of ice magic at the two of them.

"caro, behind you!" Sans warned, feeling a little nervous since being on Fried wouldn't give as much freedom of movement as he would have wanted, unless he got to the ground somehow.

Skies above the city - Sneak attack

Caro quickly turned around when Sans warned and spotted the two blue creatures preparing an attack on them. The chains on the creatures on the ground should hold on their own for now, so she could focus solely on the new threat. It looked like that their attack was almost ready, so she tried to take them out but failed, they would likely get hit anyway. With that mind, she quickly casted a large barrier around the three of them. Once she had stopped that attack, the creatures would probably be busy charging again and they would have a chance to evade them.

Skies Above the City - that almost ended badly

Thankfully Caro had barriers, something Sans had forgotten about in the heat of the moment. Sans took this opportunity to quickly summon four blaster and shoot down the creatures on the ground, the clean shot making them all dissipate upon being struck by the beams. However, about as soon as they were dealt with, more enemies like the ones that had just attacked began showing up out of nowhere, suddenly the trio would find themselves surrounded by a dozen of those, four yellow, four red and four blue counting with the two sneaky ones from before.

"ok, this is getting ugly. caro, you think you can bring us closer to those three down there so we can get us outta here asap? dealing with these things is not gonna be worth it," he told her, looking slightly nervous, he simply couldn't afford to get hit by one of those things because if he was, he was likely going to die and that would mean leaving Caro and Fried by themselves with three people without a way of quick transport, so he had to make sure to go for the less risky approach.

Onward to Grocery Store

Lune gave it some thought as she was walking towards the grocery store with Plague Knight. “Well, my world is filled with giant robots, but the pilots tend to be really strange in a way. I’m pretty sure one of them is an extremely huge nerd who collects ‘action figures’. What’s your world like?”

Odd Town, Because We're Unpopular, We'll Make A Firing Squad!
Seiga got up to her feet unsteadily, holding the wall for balance. Normally this would all be part of the act, but that kick was a real doozy, and she was still shaken by it. She continued her accusative pointing and shouting, "I have no idea what you're saying! We come into this nightmare city, you ask us for directions, and you attack us when we don't know anything?! That sounds like insanity to me!"

Noticing that the crowd was made up of even more fantastical beings, she decided to give up the idea of just being unfortunate mundane people. "Me and my friend, we can fly and we tried to get away from her, but she leaped into the air and kicked us down like a thug every time! We-" was what she said before she was cut off by a massive coughing fit, ended with her vomiting out a ball of phlegm. Wiping her mouth, she saw what came off was a deep red. Seiga figured that it certainly helped for her case to vomit blood, but that still wasn't a good thing. Yoshika broke whatever minor character she had as she shoved the corpse away and ran, shouting "Lady Seiga!" She grabbed her master by the shoulders and helped support her as another coughing fit almost brought her to her knees.

Seiga was now rather concerned for her health (and by extension Yoshika's, because she had taken like a dozen of these kicks), but she continued. "Sh-She did this to us! Look, she doesn't have a scratch on her!"

Skies above the streets -> Street - Escape route

The barrier had fortunately stopped the attacks and Sans had swiftly dealt with the enemies in the ground, but a lot more of similar flying enemies had appeared all around them. After Sans suggested that they should closer to the trio on the ground o that they could all just escape, she nodded and said, "I think I can, but this gonna be a desperation maneuver and we're going to dive straight down, so, hold on as best as you can!"

Caro keep the barrier up for a few more moments so that it fended off any more immediately incoming attacks and so that was taken care of, she dispelled it and immediately after, Fried took a nosedive towards the ground, quickly landing right next to the trio of teenagers.

Streets - dragon descent

Sans held on for dear life as Fried made his nosedive towards the three figures on the ground, Caro's barrier successfuly blocking the enemy projectiles while a significant amount of them also completely missed thanks to the speed Fried was moving at. Once they got on the ground, Sans was a little dazed but he still looked over the confused trio of teenagers who looked a mix of relieved, surprised and kinda scared.

"skull dragon rescue team here, i'll be getting us all outta here," he said, trying to keep the mood light.

With that, Sans began teleporting away everyone just in time before the new attack follow-up from the weird creatures could connect on them.

Library Entrance

Once more they appeared in front of one of the library's entrances. Sans merely gestured for the teenagers to get inside, which they responded with a nod and a grateful smile followed by waving at them as they went inside. Sans then got out of Fried and placed a hand on his head, letting out a relieved sigh.

"ok, i think i might need a break after that one. killing those things, teleporting people and going through dragon nosedives is taking it's toll on me," he looked at Caro, rather sheepishly as he figured the girl would probably be more inclined towards keeping at it "so, how about a fifteen minute, maybe half a hour break?"

Ara Haan & Eun (Library) - Warm Welcome

Ara widened her eyes the second the armed men pointed their guns at her. The way they all suddenly reacted led to believe that the situation was significantly worse than imagined, but the fact that they had not shot was enough to convince me that they did not truly intend to shoot Ara unless they absolutely had to, and it was clear that they did not have to.

But Ara did not know that.

"W-wait, please don't shoot!" she exclaimed at the same time she raised her hands. Luckily, the situation was promptly defused by a young boy roughly half her age. "I suppose... I did come here to see if someone would help me figure out where I am. I don't recognize this place at all."

Outside the pet shop
because the GM forgot this part earlier

The blast knocked out a few of the zombies, but the man was still swarmed until Rex broke through the crowd and grabbed him along the way. One of the more spry zombies unfortunately managed to grab hold of Rex's other arm and was now biting down on it as he drove. The guy was coughing and trying to clear the goop out of his eyes. "I d- ah- flephi-" the man stammered, trying and failing to speak amidst the coughing and the numerous injuries.

With Rex clear, the crowd of zombies that had been around the man chased after him, still attracted by the goop on the soldier, leaving Sadness in the clear...

But also leaving her behind, alone.

Library

One of the militia members still on lookout at the bookshelf barricade, standing on top of a table so he could look over the bookshelves, aimed his musket-like rifle down at the half zombie and fired two quick laser shots, killing it. "The barricade's not up all the way around yet; just move down that way and walk around" the militia member told Karkat, pointing down the length of bookshelves.

Meanwhile, a few of the militia members did look a bit sheepish after Ben pointed out that Ara was no zombie, but Lieutenant Wells stood firm. "Need I remind you boy, that the zombies aren't the only threat in the city. She could be part of Ruckus" Lieutenant Wells said, keeping his rifle aimed at Ara.

"Well she certainly seems like a new arrival. This is where I take over Mister Wells" Miss Tairee said, stepping forward and holding out one of the pamphlets to Ara. "Here, this will cover the most obvious questions. I can confirm if she's with Ruckus with some quick true sight" the librarian continued, to both Ara and Lieutenant Wells, then added to Ara specifically, "assuming you don't mind?"

Fight aftermath

Silanea listened to Sophie and Seiga present their cases with only a deepening frown. "I don't care if you humans kill each other, but there really are bigger things to worry about right now" Silanea said, her magic dissipating but her stance staying ready as she slithered around Sophie to put herself in front of Seiga and Yoshika. "One of you is lying. Or both of you. Whatever your fight is about you should quit it so we can focus on these damned undead" she told them, glancing back at Seiga and Yoshika, staring at the latter for a moment with her eyebrows lowering.

"Why don't we just leave them for dead?" the left head of the two headed ogre asked, as he stepped forward and kept an eye on Sophie. "They'd do the same to us, I bet" the right head added, glancing around and keeping a lookout for more zombies.

"Because we're trying to be better than them" one of the elves reminded the ogre.

Somewhere along an unfamiliar road.

Sophie frowned forlornly. She assumed that, given Seiga's power of flight, the blue-haired woman would also possess greater durability like Yoshika seemed to have. Otherwise, she would've attempted to dial back some of her strength. I still have a lot to learn.

"...I'm sorry," she immediately said to Seiga - quite genuinely, one may notice. "But you threatened and attacked me, and I moved to protect myself. I can heal you, if you want... but please promise not to attack me again."

While waiting for a response, the purple-haire girl looked up at the taller snake-woman. "Excuse me... do you know what 'zohm-bees' are? And what are 'un-ded'?"

Library entrance -> Library - A well earned rest

Thankfully it had all worked and they had managed to get the trio safely to the library. After that, Sans called for a break, pointing out that all he had to to do lately was really tiring him. Normally, she would have wanted to press on and keep going out to rescue people as soon as possible, but ... She was emotionally drained after the tragic tale that Sans had revealed to her, as well a bit physically exhausted from all that magic and also from the 'dragon nosedive', as Sans had put it.

She nodded and managed a weak smile. "A-Alright, in that case, then ... Let's give it a rest for a while." Before they went back inside, there was one thing she needed to tend to. She quickly sealed Fried into his smaller form, so he could come with them. The dragon then flew until he was by her side. She gently put a hand on his head and with a warmer smile, said, "Thank you, Fried. You help us a lot. You can rest now too." Fried made a happy sound in response.

Turning to Sans, "Alright, let's go inside and see how things are going in there," she said and then started to walk around the perimeter of the growing barricade. When she found a gap, she went through and then walked back to the entrance and then went inside.

Grimlock; Robot mode

The Library; Time to step aside...

Grimlock smiled. It seemed that it worked. There was vague outline that reminded him of his own body shape. It seemed Zelda was fine, so he decided to help barricade the doors and windows. Whenever that was done, he then would go up to keep watch from the roof in case anything attacked from above.

Zero.EXE
UnderNet, Cyberworld
...as I try out someone else

Zero calmly watched as the virus in front of him dissipated into nothing. He waited for a few moment to be sure that nothing else came up before he relaxed. He didn't look that different from his alert mood earlier though. He looked to the sky once again. The UnderNet was certainly as much as he thought it was from what he gathered. The viruses were much stronger than most civilian NetNavis could handle. It was also very different from the rest of the Cyberworld. It certainly held up to its name.

Zero looked back onwards and was about to venture further into the land, but then his body froze. Everything froze. And it started to get dark. What was happening? He couldn't figure out any reason or explanation for this to possibly happening. He didn't get much time to dwell on it as it turned completely dark...

...

Somewhere New
City Streets -> Library

...before everything was replaced with a city. He stumbled a bit on his step, even when the momentum was mild. The former virus blinked and looked around. What was this place? Did he step through an unknown link to an unknown area in the Cyberworld? It wasn't anything he expected—because it reminded him less of the Cyberworld and more of the real world. Though the void behind him indicated otherwise.

Time to find out.

He walked towards the buildings, fascinated by all the various kinds that were beside each other. Some seemed to be shops while others looked like human homes. Perhaps he was inside some sort of blueprint, though the placement of the buildings were a bit odd, even for him. Who would put an explosives shop near a clothing stores? Actually, he wondered why there was even an explosives shop at all.

But then he heard something—a loud bang. Then another, and another. There was a fight nearby. He followed the source of the sound, though it oddly took him a while before he could reach it. When he did, he found a few strange black human-like entities with bright yellow dot eyes and two odd extensions coming out of the back of their head. And they were attacking someone, two of them to be precise.

He could've sworn the ones holding guns looked liked humans but he ignored his surprise for now. He readied his blade and dashed forward. In seconds, all of the attackers were gone. Once again, like not too long ago, he waited a while to be sure nothing else came up before he relaxed. He turned to the two he had saved...and found that they were looking at him with wariness. If he could, he would've frowned, but he still asked anyway.

"Are you unharmed?"

The male and female didn't answer. He only felt more bad at that. The side effect of being rather intimidating. He glanced around to see if there was anywhere that was safe for them to hide. His eyes than landed on a large building and he noticed, even from his distance, that the windows and doors were obscured. He turned back to the pair again.

"May I, at least, escort you somewhere safer?" he asked, his concern obvious in his voice.

The two looked to each other for a moment, clearly debating what to do. But he didn't have to wait long as the man nodded his head slowly. He gave his own nod.

"Then let us be on our way."   Soon, he found himself right in front of the large building and saw another Navi that looked...human, even though her hair was pink. She looked more so than most Navis would, just like the ones he was leading. He saw her go inside one of the gaps of the building. He first stepped aside to let the two in first. He briefly pondered if he should go inside. He quickly concluded that if it was being blocked that there were others inside—other who could answer his questions.

So he soon stepped inside also and found many were gathered in what looked like a lobby. There were couches and tables but most of those and some bookshelves were stacked against any exits at the perimeter. He was surprised by how many looked so...human. Where—or perhaps what was this place?

He cleared his throat, hopefully loud enough to catch the attention of those around him.

"Pardon me, but may I ask, what is this place?" he said with his deep voice.

"You said you had a dream... That dream... Make it come true! ... If anyone can, it's you!" - N (shortened) Oh, and I'm a girl.

Zombie Battle

Cole's warning gave Jack enough time to look up and react quickly to the tongue flying at him. Unfortunately, his instinctive reaction was to do what he always did when something attacked him. Use his staff to try and block it. The same one he needed to fly properly.

Fight aftermath

"Undead. Beings risen from the dead; usually evil, and hostile" one of the elves spoke up, to answer Sophie. "Zombies are just a particular type of undead" he explained further.

Library

"What the-" Lieutenant Wells looked over at Zero and shook his head. "Two supposed newcomers clearly capable of fighting showing up at the library at nearly the same time? This is a bit much of a coincidence for me to easily accept" the soldier said, glancing over at Miss Tairee.

Miss Tairee gave a light sigh. "Very well, I'll get the true sight" Miss Tairee muttered, then went back to her central desks and started typing on her computer.

Quick battle

Cole's knife caught one of the other zombies right in the chest as it moved in front of the tentacle zombie in its attempt to charge at Cole himself. The tentacle of a tongue hit Jack's staff and would have just slithered around to bind Jack entirely, but stopped. Jack's staff was of course cold as ice, like a lamp post out in a winter snow day, and the zombie had technically just licked it. The tongue got bundled up on one side of the staff, completely stuck to it, prompting the zombie to let out a confused moan.

Seeing a priority target, and just a bit wanting some payback, the jet pack man turned his carbine on the strange zombie and opened fire. After a quick burst the zombie died, its tongue snapping away and a cloud of smoke blasting out of its corpse like a powerful billows blown onto a dying fire.

Gon slapped the barrels back after they were opened.

"Otherwise, let me do the honours."

He ran up to the barricade and assisted the militia forces with target acquisition by looking for the closest zombie threat before they arrive at the library outskirts.

He then shouldered his weapon and waited for "them" to get closer and closer before unloading a 12 gauge shell.

Viola I Library I Suddenly, EXPOSITION!

Two new arrivals came by to the library, and combatants by the looks of it. To which all of the militia quickly focus their aim to them and even convinced Miss Tairee to get her 'True Sight'. Just from the name itself, I have a general idea of what this 'sight' allows her to do.

"Welcome to the Library, the center of the unnamed City that you see around you. Where you're forced to participate in someone else's game, all for the sake of inspiration. Ask the assistant for details, since she probably knows more than all of us combined," I gestured to Miss Tairee, the librarian. No doubt they'll have mixed reactions at the sudden information being dropped on them, which I admit is pretty satisfying and funny to watch when it happens. That's one good thing about being forced into this situation, at least.

"Hey, Zelda. Mind if we talk for a moment?" The princess would find me whispering to her. I was planning on meeting with her earlier when she's still oh so vulnerable and very much isolated, but this is fine too. "In private, that is,"

Of course, if she declines out of her own will, then I have no choice but to let this go. Insisting further would get me nowhere and forcing her would not achieve what I had in mind, so her consent is really an important factor.

Ben raised an eyebrow when Zero entered the library. All these newcomers were cool and all, as long as they were friendly, but each one arriving (plus Caro and Sans arriving with those they had rescued) kept reminding him that he really needed to finish the barricade.

He looked at the watch, still red. "C'mon, you stupid thing," he muttered, fidgeting with it, until it turned green. "Finally. Now, as much as I wanna try out the new alien... guess I gotta get back to work," he muttered, pressing the display. Again there was a flash of light and again Four Arms stood there. After a quick gesture to show both the newcomers and those that Caro and Sans had rescued he meant no harm, he started walking upstairs to grab another bookshelf.

Library

Zelda might had commented more on the Omnitrix after Ben's statement that it was stuck to his wrist. However, she didn't get the chance to before a lot of other things happened that grabbed his attention, most notably doing something with Grimlock and the arrival of a bunch of newcomers.

So instead, she said, "Well, it was nice talking to you for a while, but we have our own things to be doing. We should probably get on that."

At that, she left Ben to his business before starting off to find a good place to start playing, or find something else helpful to do. At least, she would have had she not heard Viola's request to talk with her about something. She had a feeling she already knew what the girl wanted to talk about, and she wasn't sure if she wanted to talk about it with someone who wasn't Sans or Caro.

"Maybe later," she said after a few moments, "I should probably be focusing on other things right now."

Odd Town, Not Going The Best Way
Seiga stared at the two of these non-humans confusedly. Were these people some kind of militant anti-human racists? If that's what was going on here, apparently she didn't get too far from Gensokyo. Maybe there's a couple terms she could use here...

"I-I'm not even human! Me and my friend, we're not human, we're Hermit and Jiangshi, respectively. Hermits are like, uh, wizards!" She nodded vigorously, and Yoshika was quick to join in. "Yeah, she hasn't been human in, like, a thousand years! I'm not even a human, I'm a Jiangshi, and that's a-" Seiga cut in frantically, saying "A servant race, created using whatever materials are at hand! She serves me loyally, and she's one of the best." Yoshika quietly smiled and said, "Aww, thank you, Seiga," to which her master replied, "Quiet."

To Sophie, she didn't give the benefit of answering right away. No matter how naive this girl seemed right now, you never know what kind of vengeful streak they have until you're a victim. Besides, she didn't need someone else to heal, she could just make a healing elixir using all of the materials she left behind in Gensokyo FUCK.

Excusing her rude mental language, this really was a bit of a pickle. She couldn't diagnose herself as well as she could other people, so she had no idea how extensive the damage was. Another coughing fit made her brace against Yoshika, and pushed her to come to a decision. There had to be some kind of way to make this seem un-incriminating...

"...You can heal me, alright. If you let me put my companion's hands around your neck while doing it." She did her best to suppress some kind of smile as she announced this insurance policy. "You make one wrong move, she does too. Everything goes fine, we run for the hills and it'll be a while before we see you again. Does that sound like a fair trade?"

Caro didn't offer much resistance to the idea of a break, she probably felt like she needed one as well after hearing what he had to say. No doubt his tale was gonna bother her for a while.

Outside the Pet Shop — Knuckle Tentacle Sandwich

The man tried to speak but Rex couldn't understand a thing. It was understandable, it's not everyday a zombie explodes in your face.

"Take it easy, man. You are safe now"

Right as he said, as if the universe wanted to prove him wrong, a zombie chomped on the teen's arm. He abruptly stopped the motorbike and made it collapse.

"Ouch!"

The bite really hurt but what actually bothered Rex was that, being a zombie, the infection could somehow spread. He had already become part of a zombie army and he had no intentions of repeating that experience any time soon.

"I really hope you're vaccinated"

He created a giant metal tentacle over the arm that the zombie had grabbed and tried to throw him away.

Viola I Library I DENIED!

"I see. That's too bad," I nodded understandably. No, I'm not sulking. I should've really anticipated that something like this would happen, since she probably has no reason to trust me. Some other time would have been nice, maybe, though by then she would have already fully recovered from her trauma.

Guess I'll have no choice but to give up on her now. What a shame.

With that plan shot down, I simply stood at the library, doing nothing in particular. I don't feel particularly motivated to help out with the defense, the people at work doing a decent job already without needing another extra hand. Maybe I could pass the time with a light reading or two to pass away the time while waiting for supplies to arrive.

Yes, that would be nice.

There were several books scattered everywhere, no doubt from the bookcases that has been carried over to act as barricades. I didn't need to go far, at any rate. Releasing my grip from the plant child, I went ahead and grabbed a random book nearby before sitting myself at one of the unused coach or chairs available. Said book is a novel about a young teen who accidentally found himself involved with the affairs of Norse gods in Boston and all that entails, from what I can understand from the book's summary.

... Not exactly what I had in mind when I thought of light reading, but it'll do.

"Certainly no where near as advanced as this City seems to be," Plague Knight stated. "First of all, the only firearms where I come from are shoddy flintlock pistols that take forever to load, with having to first put in the powder and then the pellet, and then the powder itself becomes useless if exposed to water. The ammunition of these "shotguns" are already far superior with the necessary ignition components inside them. And the closest thing to robots in my world are the toys created by friend Tinker Knight. Though I did fight against a much bigger one about the size of a large house of his design as well, but its large amount of firepower made up for the fact it was rather slow and cumbersome due to its size."
